Patriot Lawn and Landscape LLC

We contacted Patriot a few years ago for some tree removal and ended up having them do some awesome walkway/step repair as well as essentially a complete overhaul of the lawn/yard. We worked with a different company for YEARS and had a patchy mess that just didn't seem to get better. Patriot came in and within months, bald spots filled in and the yard looked healthier, thicker and stronger. Paul brought in his amazing team and we've simply not had one bad experience with any of the work they've done. We've contracted with them for annual maintenance and I think have gotten a few neighbors to use their services by word of mouth and seeing the difference from how everything looked before they stepped in. Patriot is well worth it!

They provide timely and efficient service. Paul, the owner, is responsive to any questions I have, although, I haven't had to ask him many questions. His workers are quick, neat, in and out. I discovered I can do my lawn work myself, but they do a better job and I just sit back and enjoy my lawn.

Little bit expensive, but overall they did a great job. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

I give them a 6 out of 5 stars! We’ve tried two other landscaping companies and none came close to Patriot. I’d recommend them to anyone.

The team arrived on time. Before they started, Renata (headed the team) made sure that everyone understood what was to be done and okayed it with me. I'm in a townhouse and the front yard area is relatively small, so it only took a team of two men to do all the work. They completed about 85% of the work the first day, then promptly came back the second day to finish the job. They made every effort to ensure that the wood trim fit exactly and was aligned properly. The trees and shrubs looked fantastic. And the mulch finished off the garden perfectly. Renata followed up to make sure I was satisfied with the work. I am very happy with their service and would definitely hire them again!

I've used Patriot for 3 years, and they've converted my spotty thin lawn into a thick green lawn. They just came and "did their thing" during the year with treating and fertilizing my lawn. I found them very trustworthy, so there was no need to call or schedule- except for the yearly lawn aeration. They would always leave their sign in the yard to note their presence, and a statement on the door for the work they've done.

Patriot Landscaping did a great job with the front yard of my townhouse. I am VERY happy with the results! Renata the landscape designer was so nice to work with. She listened to everything I said, asked good/helpful questions, and gave very good input and suggestions. And she checked with me throughout, to make sure I was happy with the work. Juan and his team-mate did a great job of pruning my trees and shrubs, as well as weeding and mulching the garden. They worked very carefully (measure twice, cut once!) to make sure the new wood framing around the 3 garden beds was just right. Everything looks beautiful! The job took two days, and at the end of each day, they thoroughly cleaned up the entire area. The price was fair, and labor is guaranteed for a year. I would definitely recommend Patriot to my neighbors and friends.

We have used Patriot Lawn & Landscape for numerous jobs over the last few years (weeding and mulching, the annual Lawn Care Program, tree removal and weekly mowing), and have been happy enough with their reliability and quality to hire them for a complete patio demo and rebuild in the backyard. Our old patio was no longer at the base of our deck stairs after redoing the deck, and falling apart anyway. We hired Paul and his crew to tear out the old patio and build a completely new design with a sitting wall and a border wall with river rocks against the house. They also laid quite a bit of sod down, and even seeded over bare spots just to get the lawn back up to par (see attached photos). Despite cold winter temps, his crew always showed up when promised and worked hard to get the project done correctly. We will continue to use Patriot in the future as Paul is always very responsive, and price point is spot-on for the NoVa area.

So far, so good. Summer isn't over yet.

Job went very well. Made my job request through Patriot Lawn and Landscape web site and requested free estimate. Paul came to the house and surveyed the job and provided me with a very reasonable price. He arranged for Miss Utility to mark underground utilities. I drove a stake in the ground marking the spot for the new tree. Then Paul came out and the existing tree was cut down and trunk removed and planted the new tree at the spot I had marked. The Yoshino cherry tree was a great selection and looks better than the selection at the local [big name] nursery.

I initially left a bad review due to communication issues with the company but the owner reached out to me and my husband and we decided to work with Patriot after a second meeting with Paul. He was very responsive, timely, and had excellent suggestions for problem areas, plant choices, and hardscape designs, His crew is knowledgeable in every aspect of the job (pruning, plant placement, edging, mulching). They were punctual each day. They left the yard clean each evening. We have already hired them for a hardscape project over the winter and a complete grass redo in the spring.

Excellent. The dogs can run and play without the risk of getting hurt slipping on the muddy hill as can we. I believe this is a permanent fix to an ongoing issue we have had since we built the house. Paul and his crews have always been super responsive to feedback, quick to respond to calls and questions, and have done superb work for us over the past several years with our new property to give it curb appeal. Especially when I broke my foot and needed surgery. I was unable to maintain our new property for almost a year. Patriot stepped in with a great price even though they knew it was temporary. I will only use Patriot for any landscaping projects beyond my expertise. The quality and price is much better then any of the big home centers in Prince William County that offer everything Patriot does.

Great service and always on time

Excellent work. So, it was pretty expensive. They planted a bunch of shrubs and bushes. They did some good work in it. It was a competitive price.

They cut my grass, and they also do my landscaping. I have a big yard, and they're only charging me $75 which I think is reasonable. I had another company, and I fired them. When the lawn cutting crew is out there in the yard cursing and screaming at each other, saying one of them is not going to do work. They're out there in the yard. I have a big hill, so one of them just said: "I ain't doing it I don't care.". They're out there screaming, cursing and hollering. I said: "Move, get off of my property.".I got a different company and this other company is great. I had them come and give me an estimate a, I received three estimate from three different companies and Patriots was not the most expensive it was bout right in the middle. I used somebody else for years, but I wanted to give them the opportunity because they cut my grass for me all the time. They also do landscaping and hardscaping which is rocks and patios and stuff. They gave me an estimate which was competitive. They did the work on time. They did an excellent job and a bunch of different things. They knew what they were doing. They got the job done on time and it was great.

We continue to use this vendor. The yard is looking much better.

The owner came out promptly and gave me a verbal estimate which I asked him to send via email. He did that promptly. After I decided to utilize his company he gave me a reasonable time estimate followed later by a date and time that was perfect for me. The men arrived on time. They were very efficient. I am particular about my trees and bushes and the cutting went beautifully. He was not pushy, he did not try to rush me or anything. They cleaned up the yard nicely. I would recommend them.

This is the second time we used Patriot to get our landscape cleaned up for the Spring. Both experience we outstanding. We wouldn't use anymore else.

Done well and quality of service.

Great! Paul Balcerzak, the owner, personally oversaw the work. He understood exactly what he needed, gave good advice. and put a great crew on-site. Note that Paul was very familiar with plant life, and understood exactly what needed to be done to the many species involved in this project (in my pasture). It was a three phase project. Paul performed phase 1 & 2, the prep work conducted over about a month. Juan and Nelson, his employees, came on the last day to finish the heavy stuff. Bonus points for Paul and Juan, his landscaping lead for excellent customer skills. They listened to what I wanted, made constructive suggestions, and exceeded all expectations. Note that my reviews tend to be good ones because I go to Angie's List and do my homework before engaging anyone for anything around my home. Patriot Lawn & Landscaping was Angie's List Certified, and a recognized company. As usual, that is the "secret of my success' when looking for help.

This is our 4th year with Patriot Lawn and Landscaping and we couldn't be happier. The owner Paul is very professional and knowledgeable. He responds to your emails and phone calls quickly . He is very respectful and attentive to all our needs. His crew is wonderful and a special shout out to Juan who discusses everything with you beforehand. I would go out in the yard several times during the day to check on their progress and he would always ask if everything was to my satisfaction. If I wanted more trimming or more mulch added or whatever it would be done . And the clean up afterwards is amazing. I feel that the price is fair for the work. I have several large garden beds to spruce up and it requires a lot of mulch. They have a lot of trimming to do, multiple bushes and trees and cutting back of perennials that I didn't get to at the end of summer. I have also used them for lawn aeration and fertilization in the fall. I had a retaining wall replaced about 2 years ago. I had evergreen ground covering removed from an embankment and replaced with new ground cover. Everything they have done has been wonderful. I highly recommend them. This review is long overdue.
