Technician came in the door for a service call that I set up the day before on the phone and was given a quote of $79.00.He starts talking about signing up for service contract before he even looked at was he called to do, was to look at my AC to see why it wasn't getting as cool as it should.He finally goes out to look at the unit.He comes back stating how old the unit was and how much it would cost to replace it.He went on to say to put refrigerant in the system would cost $500.00. Of course I was not agreeing to those kind of prices.My wife was overcharged $173.00 and no work was performed.That is outrageous! Beware!!!!

I am very disappointed with my recent experience with My Plumber who was referred by HomeAdvisor. Our exterior faucet needed to be replaced and the tech that came out quoted a price of $514! When I questioned the price, he gave no reason why it should be that high, but eventually gave me an "over-55" discount of $50. Unfortunately, I was in a situation where I didn't have time to get more estimates so I had to agree to the price. I have since done some online research and inquired about similar jobs on our neighborhood website (which I should have done beforehand). This should have been a $150-200 job. I've even had a couple of neighbors say they could have done it for me since it is a fairly straightforward DIY project. The highest priced frost-free faucet at Lowe's is $40. The pipes were easily accessible in an unfinished part of the basement - no crawl space or drywall to deal with. I'm at a loss as to why I was charged over $400 because the receipt gave no breakdown of cost/labor. On the good side, the tech was on time, polite and appears to have done a good job. I just feel I was grossly overcharged.

The young gentleman who came to service our air conditioner (John) was wonderful. He gave us our options and recommended one in particular that he thought would work best for us right now. He was very knowledgeable and was very patient with all of our questions. He was very thorough with our project and everything is now working beautifully. I only gave a 4 star rating for the customer service because when I called to book the appointment I was told that they couldn't provide me with an exact time, nor a 2-4 hour window, for when their technician would be arriving. This meant that I may have had to wait around all day for the service. The young lady who I spoke to did say that we would receive a call approx. 30-45 mins before the tech would be there. So we could leave as long as we could get back when the call came through. We were lucky and we didn't have to wait too many hours before we got our call and John showed up right on time. Will be using this company in the future.

Excellent service and their technician was excellent. Explained everything to me and gave me several options to choose from. A bit pricey but I went for the total replacement of the well pump etc.. Very happy with the quality and timeliness of the work. Very professional.

I had an appointment from 9am-12pm. Someone finally showed up at 7:30pm. He quickly diagnosed the problem which was great. It took only 5 minutes. The part that needed to be replaced was the capacitor. He had a couple on his truck and said he would need to look up the cost. He came back to me with a cost of $430.00! That is on top of a fee of $79 to show up, even if its way later than stated. I felt like I was put on the spot to go with the repair, that only took another 5 minutes. He then hooked me for a maintenance plan for $20 a month, but I would receive a 10% discount today. I naturally said yes since I am not made of money. After he left and my AC was up and running, I decided to look up the part that cost so much. It turns out to only cost between $15-$40 depending on where you get it. I was outraged! I called their main office and they gave me the run around. The manager was supposed to call me. He never did. They stated that their techs make up the prices in the field. How ridiculous is that??? This is a good example of someone taking advantage of a clueless customer in a time of need. This company should be ashamed of this practice!

I've called and emailed this company and have gotten no response. I was overcharged and lied to. When I asked the plumber how much this was going to cost, his reply was "It'll be around $3800. if you want me to relocate your pressure tank under your house'" I was shocked and said no thanks, OR, "$800-$1200 depending on how much digging he had to do when he came back the next day." I told him that both prices were crazy and he then said... "I can try to do it tonight, the faster we get it done the cheaper it'll be." I opted for the cheapest option with no more travel time, no digging needed AT ALL, my husband and myself helping to shorten the job time and my tenants having their water back on. This was a 1st for me. I've never had to help a paid contractor complete a job. ** Any labor fees should be cut in half. On the actual receipt I was charged the "Premium Plus Option" listed under "ITEM". **I would like to know what that is exactly. **I'm assuming that since the plumber that was scheduled from 8am-12:30pm knew nothing about well work and the "Well Specialist" didn't arrive until 6:39pm (well after dark) that the "Premium Plus Option" means EMERGENCY and or OVERTIME. Under "Job Description" the plumber charged us for... "Performed repair of shallow well. Pulled pump and replumbed fittings. Secured pump and tank with rope and copper. 1 year warranty on brass fitting. Recommended relocating well tank to under home. Recommmended having well line sleeved through concrete casing as well. Line is slightly kinked. Casing has hole on the side needs to be repaired." **THIS WAS NOT DONE! My husband, myself and the plumber pulled the pressure tank up 3ft. The busted line was right below the tank at the top of the well. Pulling the 80ft deep pump and lines would've been a MUCH larger job and if we had actually had to pull the pump to make the repairs, I wouldn't be writing this review right now. THE ACTUAL JOB ENTAILED- pulling the pressure tank to repair 2 busted lines, 1 of which busted while pulling the tank. replacing 2 brass fittings, and then rehanging the pressure tank with a 4 ft piece of copper pipe, some rope and a roll of electrical tape. The job took 1:15 min. For this job I was charged $1000.00. I was told on the phone "My Plumber charges by the job, not the hr." **No one at My Plumber will explain to me who is lying. Either they charge by the hr AS INDICATED BY THEIR PLUMBER or by the job. With the price gouging I took, I believe I paid by the hr AND for the job. I have lived in Spotsylvania all my life. I'm IT support for the schools and I will do everything in my power to make sure no one I know ever uses your company. Thanks
