Leopold's Chimney Sweep

Exceptional and honest. Cory came by our house today to clean and inspect our chimney. We had received a quote two weeks prior from BHO Chimney that included more than $1,700 in charges. Cory cleaned it for $125, told us that the chimney was in excellent shape, and informed us that the assessment from BHO was completely fraudulent. He also told us that the industry is rife with dishonest companies. If you are planning to have any work done on your chimney this winter, I cannot recommend Leopold's more.

They were very responsive. I contacted 3 firms and they were the first to respond, and did so within 24 hours. I explained I wanted a cleaning and inspection of a chimney. Kyle came, cleaned and inspected the chimney. Found no issues with the chimney and did suggest some minor maintenance tips (DIY). Would definitely use them again!

He was a very honest and professional. A person who came out before him said I needed to replace my chimney. He said it was fine and it has been working ever since. I would not use anyone else.

He was very responsive and punctual for our appointment. The cleaning and painting (we decided to paint the inside black given the age of our fireplace) was done faster than I had expected. His nephew/assistant went up on the roof to inspect our chimney and pointed out some other problems we needed to address in the near future in order to maintain the structure and gave us an estimate on site advising to go with the cheaper option. They were both obviously very knowledgeable and communicated with us very well. We will definitely be hiring them again.

Mr. Leopold did an excellent job repairing the cracked concrete on the top of our double-flue chimney. He used a new formula compound that is guaranteed for 20 years. He provided pictures of before and after work and we were very happy with the results. See pictures; obviously, he could not stand in the same spot to take the "after" picture.

I highly recommend them. In the past we had another chimney sweep that told us the chimney was falling apart and would cost thousands to fix. A friend of mine suggested I contact Leopold's for a second opinion. They came out, did an inspection, and found that it only needed minor repairs. He performed the fix and saved us a lot of money. We appreciate their honesty and use them to this day.

Mr. Leopold was the 4th company I contacted. As part of the items we needed to fix for the sale of our home, we needed someone to install a chimney cap and inspect the area around it, as there was a small plant growing out of it. The first company came and did an inspection and said the entire area around the chimney cap needed to be redone, as well as a new flue, at a cost of $2800. Second company never showed. Third company said he wouldn't come out unless I agreed to install a chimney cap that cost $350. Finally read the reviews on Angie's List for Leopold Chimney and while I played telephone tag with Mr. Leopold for a few days, he was extremely responsive.  He came out, installed a new chimney cap, and sealed some minor cracks around the area.
Very professional and trustworthy and I highly recommend this contractor.

Mr. Leopold arrived on time for both the estimate and the work. His price was competitive and he did not try to upsell. He was very professional and it looks great. I am definitely calling him to do the annual chimney cleaning.  I am very pleased with the work he performed.

As part of a planned gas log fireplace installation we needed to have the chimney cleaned.  The owner and his nephew came out and cleaned the chimney.  He also inspected the chimney and fortunately found no defects or safety issues.  Very responsive and good service.

We got a pretty expensive quote from another company, but wanted another opinion. Leopold's had good reviews so we went with them. These guys were very straight-forward and open about the condition of our fireplace; which was in much better condition than the other company claimed. They took the time and educated us how to take advantage of the wood stove we have. Everything went very well. As a measure of reassurance, they even had me look up the chimney so I could see for myself that it was indeed in very good shape.

It took them a couple of hours. They were neat and they were punctual.

Their prices are reasonable. They are a very small company and extremely responsive. They always come out in a timely manner. They do a thorough job.

The price was reasonable. The guys were great. Two people the owner and his helper. It took at least a day, and they left the area spotless. My neighbor across the street reccommended them.

They actually went out and did research at several different brick yards in the area to find stone that matched the brick of the house. He was fabulous. I would definitely recommend using them. They were very fair. They provided an estimate upfront and were very good about sticking to it. They discussed the whole process to make sure there were no questions left unanswered. I would most definitely use them again.
