The plumber told me that it was just a leaky overflow valve. I was impressed with his honesty. He could have had me make un-needed repairs to drive the cost up. His price was very reasonable. Worth mentioning, one of the other contracors that called me wanted $69 just to come to the house. Curtis didn't charge any walk-in fee.
