They are smart and easy to work with.
Installer was late so I was not able to stay to see finished install. Workmanship was good but fence was too high since I
Michael and people at Arlington fence were more than willing to come out and help adjust the fence. Great to work with, good work - highly recommended
"We are very sorry for the member's experience. Because we are experiencing a very high call volume at this time, we did need to re-schedule the estimate for the fence repairs. Unfortunately, due to our need to re-schedule, she had a bad experience with our firm. Again, we are very sorry for not being able to provide the level of service that our potential customer was expecting. We will continue to improve our overall operation. Thanks, Michael A. Stefanon - Owner/President"
UPDATE: I still like these guys, but I had a situation arise which disturbed me. Around a year after the fence was put in, I noticed one of the slats had fallen. I put it back on, and there it stayed for a while. Then, it fell down again, and again, I put it back on. I felt that, if I only had to do this once every couple of months or so, then no big deal. Then, over time, it started happening more often. I contacted Arlington Fence and discussed it with someone, and then had email follow-ups about it. I sent them a photo, and the person with whom I dealt (Michael Stefanon - who was very nice and respectful) concluded that it was most likely that the post had shifted. I assured him that no damage had been done to the fence, and that no one was sitting on it, nor had the fence been stressed in any way other than normal wear and tear and weather. I asked them to come out and fix it, and at that point, was told that it was out of warranty (one year warranty). He offered to do it for $125 rather than the $300+ dollars they would normally charge ( which, to reseat one post, would have been outrageous ). In my humble opinion, for something that I paid them thousands of dollars for and which should last many, many years (which is the reason I upgraded to this kind of fence in the first place), a first class place, under these circumstances and for the first and only time I've had any problem with the work performed, should have come by (at their convenience I told them... I was in no hurry and assured them that even if they were not in the neighborhood for months, that would be fine) and fixed it without charge. Again, they put the post in and absolutely nothing was done to it to cause the post to shift. They were unwilling to do this. I'm not mad. I still think of them as a good company, but a GREAT company would have taken care of me.
"Dear Angie's List Members, Because we take the Member's posting very seriously, we want you to know that we are attempting to work with him to more accurately document the facts of the experience. While this is an isolated case, we are reviewing our estimating process to see how we may have been able to avoid producing such an unhappy customer. I invite you to review the countless other Angie's List postings to see what other members have to say about their experience with Arlington Fence Company. Thanks, Michael A. Stefanon President"
