At the very start of my call with Tonya, I felt comfortable with Appliance Services. Tonya was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. I was very pleased they were able to schedule a home visit within a few days. Their service tech, Jimmy, came out to service our microwave oven. Jimmy, also, was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. He was pleased to answer my questions without fail which is something I appreciate. I also appreciated his forthright efforts to save us as much cost as possible. Jimmy has a good sense of humor, and he has a wide range of experience that rounds out him as a great repair representative for Appliance Services. I am very pleased to wholeheartedly recommend Appliance Services! Thank you, Jimmy! : )

The provider was unable to diagnose the problem and promised to do some research and follow up. He called me several days later and did not provide any helpful information. I did not hear from him again. (I then purchased a new oven.)

Noticed that our newly bought Frigidaire refrigerator was starting to make ice slower. Thought it was the warmer weather and didn't think much of it. Around August 27 noticed it wasn't making ice at all. Contacted Electrolux warranty service. Ignored the first recommendation due to poor online reviews. Went with this company due to its relatively good online reviews.
Attempted to contact them on August 29, and again September 3, via Angie's List and heard back nothing. Also attempted to use the Angie's List schedule appointment feature to no avail. After not hearing anything from the company using online tools, picked up the phone on September 8 and made an appointment for Friday. Was told to call back on Friday morning to get a 2 hour window - a nice touch so we wouldn't have to wait all day.
On Friday morning (September 12), called and was told to expect service between 10 - 12. Called the company at 11:42 to make sure there was not a problem. While I was on the phone, the technician arrived.
The technician was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Professionally dressed and took care not to damage or dirty anything. Replaced a defective ice maker under warranty and had the paperwork ready. Had replacement part on his truck ready to go. Took the time to verify that the replacement ice maker was working properly before leaving. Total time about 10 minutes.
Overall I wish that the company was more responsive to their online email and schedule services under Angie's List. Once I got them on the phone things went relatively smoothly. Would suggest a courtesy call if technician will be running later in the lime slot. But no complaints or issues with the technician once they arrived. The technician was quick, efficient, and top notch.

s wMr. Zouhaier the technician arrived promptly the day I called for service. He assessed the situation with both appliances and gave me a detailed account of what would be necessary to repair them along with an approximate cost. He told me he probably wouldn't be able to acquire the parts and return to my house for about 4-5 days. However, the very next day he called me and said he was able to locate the parts and could come to my house that day. He again arrived on time and went right to work fixing both machines. He was courteous, professional and very competent. In fact, this was the best experience I have had with an appliance repair company in my entire life!!! I usually end up buying a new appliance instead of facing the outrageous charges and bad experiences. I have already recommend Appliance Services and Mr. Zouhaier to all my friends!!

Mr Farhatt took details of the problem on the phone--came with a new valve soon after the part came in, and installed it..

The problem was not solved so he came back within a day or two; diagnosed another simple problem and corrected it on the spot with no extra charge.


Ice maker has been working well since.;

We have used ASI twice and liked them both times. This time, we called them because we could hear there was something stuck in the washer. It sounded like a coin but ended up being a nail, which could have done a lot of damage. Jim came out the day after we called, took apart the washer and found the nail. He did a great job in a quick amount of time, and we would definitely use ASI again.

My dryer stopped working - no tumbling, no heat. I called them in the morning and a very nice lady who answered the phone was going to schedule me for Monday morning. I asked if there was any way possible to get someone out today. She was able to get the repair person, Jimmy, out to my house this morning. He quickly found the problem (needed a new thermofuse) and fixed my dryer in no time. It works great now!

I also really like that they are family owned and operated. You can tell that they take a lot of pride in their work. Their prices are fair and the service is terrific. I really feel that I can trust them and that is very important to me. I will definitely use them the next time I need any appliance work done.

The call went great. I have taken dryers apart before, however this seemed to big a job for me with all the electronics associated with my dryer. Jim was great. He arrived on time. Was very professional and knowledgable. He took the dryer apart, found the culprit, replaced the part and was on his way. The dryer has worked like new ever since.

Jimmy and a helper came out the next day after I called. Jimmy made temperature measurements and determined that the oven was working properly at that time. Jimmy explained that my range is computer controlled and may need to be occasionally reset. He explained that the proper way to reset the controller is to turn off the breaker and leave it off for at least 30 minutes. He explained that iin the future if I had problems and a reset didn't work then the computer controller would need to be replaced. This is a very expensive part. ($300/400). Jimmy explained that the trip charge of $75.00 would be good for a month if they needed to come back in that period. I have had no problems since. I appreciate Jimmy's knowledge and his sharing of useful information. He did a good honest job and I am pleased.

Called about problem with burners on KitchenAid Stove and programming problems on matching microwave. Repairman was very prompt and professional and gave very honest recommendations. Ended up ordering new parts for stove and installing the following week. Recommended against repairing microwave due to expense. I will definitely use again.

This was a horrible experience and it makes my blood boil everytime I think about it. This company took advantage of the fact that the house had been sold and the buyer had this repair as a contingency.
My realtor contacted appliance services to provide us with an estimate on repairing the icemaker on a refrigerator in a home that we had sold. The and quot;technicianand quot; from Appliance services went to our property and gave us a crazy estimate. In the process, he broke the icemaker and destroyed the shelving inside the refrigerator to the point that it would not even close. When we contacted the company, we were told that this model refrigerator was very tough to work with and that they are NOT RESPONSIBLE for breaking the components inside. They also explained to me how a replacement refrigerator would cost me something like $3500 (that's a total lie, I purchased that one for $2100). Anyhow, I digress.
When we called appliance services back to complain about the issue, they could not even find a RECORD of the technician ever being there. Only after I told them I would cancel the $150 they charged me for an estimate were they able to find my information.
I ended up having no choice but to use these theives. I have more class then to dispute the charge with my credit card company, but it makes me sad that this company operates at all. Afterward, we had a repairman tell us that this job shouldn't have cost a penny over $300.

"What Member stated is no way near the truth. We were call out on a No Ice problem. When we arrived we found out the ice maker bucket was jammed up from the inside. Not knowing what was causing the ice bucket to jammed to, we told the realtor we had to get the ice bucket out and if he knew what had happen? He states that the owner had a Handyman work on it before calling ASI. Once we got the ice bucket out we found that the ice cube mold was not put back in the proper way and fell down and jammed up the ice bucket. We gave a written estimate to the owner by a fax as we were instructed to do. We were contacted that the owner was out of the country and his son was to now in charge until the owner returned. We recieved a fax to " Go ahead with the repair and complete it ASAP". We went ahead with the repair as instucted to do. We also provided three additional parts that was not on the estimate at no charge to the owner. After the owner returned he contacted us and said he wanted a refund because he did not agree on the charges. I assured Member that charges fare and reasonable. Member isisted that I did not know how to run a bussines and he could show me how. I declined the offer. The type of Refrigerator Member purchased ranges between $2000.00 to $3000.00. Also, there in no way possible that the repair could have done any near $300.00."

Appliance Services was one of the recommended repair companies by Frigidaire. After checking Angie's List, I called the company to come out and fix my 2-year-old refrigerator. After a 23-hour power outage, the fridge came back on but stopped making anything cold. Jim came out the next day. He showed my what needed to be repaired and said he could do it, but that the cost of the repair would be $500 to $700, essentially the cost of a new refrigerator. His recommendation was to not do the repairs and to buy a new refrigerator. I appreciated his honesty and felt I could trust his advice. He's had a home-based business for 37 years. I'd recommend Appliance Services and would call the company again, if a large appliance broke.

Jim came out on Wednesday and checked which parts were needed to repiar the washer. He ordered the parts and came back early on Friday and repaired the door and detergent holder parts. He was quick, professional and very nice. I was very pleased with his attitude and his work. I would definitely use this company again.

Our Frigidaire dryer had a fire in the electrical panel with flames shooting up 2 - 3" high. Frigidaire referred me to them to come out and take a look at it. We paid to have it looked at, and they told us that we should replace the dryer because our clothes would probably smell like smoke. They service all brands but they show larger appliances on their magnet. The appointment was set up less than 24 hours after I called. He was very professional but he was not able to fix the dryer for us and Frigidaire has been pretty responsive also but we still had to buy a new dryer. The one we had was 5 years old which is not really that old for a dryer. Getting a new dryer installed was easy and we kept the old dryer to file a claim with the insurance. I will continue to use this company in the future.

It's family owned. We have a double oven, one of the thermostat's broke, they had to order it, gave us an estimate on how much it would be, they came out and fixed it, and did what they said they were going to do. We used them on the refrigerator previous to this and got the referral from a neighbor. I like to do business with a local service, they were very friendly, and I would use them again in the future.

I called this company because of proximity to me and it's Angie's List reviews. I called 2 others prior to this and was not pleased.
Initial call was pleasant and responsive. I had trouble selecting a repair day due to personal conflicts and they were very flexible in helping select a day for service. They charge a flat fee per hour ($110) + materials which I like, no random 'travel fees, etc.
On the day of service I called to find my 2 hour window, which happened to be the 1st of the day. The repairman arrived as stated, had the parts needed and fixed my oven door in less than 30 minutes. He was fast, polite, efficient and on his way in no time. The part comes with a warranty and so does the work.
I would use this company again.

I wanted them to fix my microwave for me, but it turned out that it would be expensive to fix. The techinican was knowledgable and honest; he let me know that it'd be pricey to fix. My brother fixes appliances asnf when I told him about my problem, he told me that it might be a fuse or something else more expensive, and when the technician came out, he said the same thing. I would use them in the future.

I called yesterday (04-01-10) to inquire about repairs. I was asked to return the call between 3 and 4 PM. I called at @ 3:30PM. I talked to Jim. Described my problem. He gave clues as to what to look for in order to save a service call. No luck. He gave me estimates on all the necessary repairs over the phone and asked me to call the next day at @ 7:30 AM to schedule a time, which I did (4-02-10). I called at that hour and talked to Jim directly. He said I was his first call and would be at my house between 8 and 10 AM. He arrived @ 8:30 AM. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the ice maker. Original estimate stood. I found Appliance Services, Inc. by looking on your list before I made any calls. They are authorized Frigidaire service techs. It was an excellent experience. Thank you.

CALLED ON 12/21 AND WAS SCHEDULED FOR SERVICE ON 12/23. CALLED EARLY ON 12/23 TO FIND OUT THE WINDOW THE REPAIR PERSON (JIMMY) WOULD BE COMING. WINDOW WAS BETWEEN 10 and 12. JIMMY ARRIVED AROUND 10:10 FIXED THE PROBLEM (I DID NOT HAVE MY WATER TURNED ON ALL THE WAY -- I WAS A LIITLE EMBARRASSED ABOUT THAT) WITHIN 5 MINUTES. Our 18-year-old clothes dryer started making a bad noise, so I made an appointment. The company was able to schedule me in less than 48 hours, and suggested that I call when a technician was available if I had specific questions about the salvageability of the dryer. However, my husband really wanted it checked out in person, so I didn't do this. The tech came on time, and was polite, friendly, and informative. He also declared the dryer's motor dead and said it would take at least $300 to fix. We discussed the relative merits of fixing vs. replacing; on his advice, I decided to replace it. I appreciated the company's and the tech's promptness in scheduling and showing up, their professionalism on the phone, and ability to help me decide what to do with the old dryer. I would definitely use them again.
