We we're very lucky to find Affordable Carpet and Flooring when we did. The day after we closed on our new house in Manassas, we walked through the house and were very shocked by the appearance of the carpets after the old homeowners had moved all their stuff out. It was pretty bad. So in a mad rush to find someone who could replace all this carpet, we called David at Affordable Carpet, and he came out the same day to measure and show us our options, along with a quote. He was so straightforward, down to earth, and took a lot of his own time to research prices and options of flooring so he could find us the best floors for the best price. We even had a couple of other flooring companies come out to give us quotes, and after talking with David, we knew they couldn't come close to his quality and service. It was a no brainer. Carpet was far superior, he included a ten pound pad with a stain blocker (trust me, you want this), and had his amazing installation crew to install in a matter of days. There are a lot of flooring companies out there that claim to do the kind of work Affordable Carpet and Flooring do, but the truth is, most are out to get the job done ASAP, at the highest price, and once they finish the job, that's it. The difference is, Affordable Carpet is run by a long time flooring professional who has seen many disappointed customers with those big box companies, and he's running his company with an eye on customer service, and with a commitment to long term satisfaction. So it's a no brainer!

From the initial contact, through carpet installation, to the post-work follow-up, Affordable Carpet is by far one of the most professional companies with which I have worked. Their work was beyond compare, and when I need flooring work in the future, I will call no one other than David Reading at Affordable Carpet. From the very beginning, the company lived up to every time obligation, and in most cases was early. We had a unique situation in which we provided our own carpet, and Affordable Carpet provided the padding and installation. David was upfront with the pricing, and beat by far any competitor. Even when I surprised David less than a week before by doubling the amount of carpet that we wanted installed, he maintained his pricing methodology and was far more than fair. On the day of installation, the installers arrived promptly at 8 AM. All three installers worked non-stop and finished an entire upstairs and basement by 3:40 PM. We were warned by our painters that there would likely be a number of baseboard touch-ups following the carpet installation, but when these installers were done, there not one place in need of touch-up. They cleaned and vacuumed all areas and left nothing behind for us to do. This was the most pleasurable major project that we have completed in a long time! Thank you David!

We recently purchased a new home. There was carpet and tile in the home that we wanted to replace with hardwood. We got quotes from 4 companies before deciding to use Affordable Carpet and Flooring. David was very patient with us during the process offering several options. He was able to meet the price of another company so we opted for his company. The installers were very efficient and did a good job removing the existing carpet and tile as well as laying the floors. They turned out beautifully.

Dave was very friendly. He showed up on time. When comparing his prices to other options I had investigated he was lower with a better quality product. His installers showed up on time and did a great job. The one thing I wish they had warned us about the cleaner they had to use to clean the excess glue from the flooring. The house stunk for about 18 hours until the smell dissipated. We would have made arrangements to stay somewhere else that night. Otherwise the whole company was very pleasant to deal with. We would use them again.

They did a really good job. They were very pleasant and easy to work with. They were professional. I had spots on my carpet sin other places. He showed me a product that I could use and he got some spots off of the old carpet. I thought that was very nice.

They were very good. They worked really hard to make sure the stairs and all looked perfect. They had to move a lot of furniture, but they did a really good job. They were excellent in returning calls and getting back to you as fast as they could. They were right on time.

There was a little bit of an issue I had discovered where the carpet had come up and bunched. I had called David, the owner. He immediately sent someone to fix it. The prices were good too, comparatively.

Price wise they were really good. I would not hire them again based off their workmanship.

Once we signed on with them there were some shady things going on. There was a rotted part in the floor that should have been fixed. It was never communicated to the crew to fix and it was an issue. There was also asbestos flooring that they were just tearing it up. I had to explain to them to do it in a fashion so it wouldn’t spread to the rest of the house. . It wasn’t being done in the standard way. It was very reasonably priced, I felt. The crew that was there were friendly, but they did not speak English. When the project was finished it did look nice. We just had those problems with a few things that needed fixed.

They were really good. The only thing I didn't like was that the samples they brought me were really tiny. He brought the board but the samples were only like 2 inches. So, it was a little hard for me to get a good picture of the color and how it would work. He brought that to my house. He gave me an estimate. They had a warehouse but they did not have a showroom. It was kind of hard for me to visualize how it was going to look.

They cashed the check and never showed up to do the job. They wouldn't answer the phone, voice mails, text messages, or emails. I attempted to contact the owner David Reading and his right-hand man (who set up the install and took our check) Mark Martin and neither have responded so far. We paid for half of the total cost when we chose the carpet and booked the date and were supposed to pay the second half after completion. My husband took the day off work to be there for the install, he waited inside of our empty new house from 8am until 6:30pm just in case someone did show up, but no one did. We are very disappointed because our realtor and friend recommended this company to us as she has worked with them for years. They will not return her phone calls either now. We are hoping someone will eventually return our phone calls and pay us back the $800...if they do, we will update this report to let everyone know. Otherwise, please avoid this company if you don't want to be scammed.

With the combination of the pickup in the company's business and the custom-sized carpet we were ordering, the work did not start until a day we moved. However, the company was able to complete their work in a highly satisfactory manner.

David and his team installed hardwood flooring in my home. From the start, David was friendly, professional and flexible. On the project start date the plan was that he was to come to our house and show us flooring samples. Instead, he offered to drive us over to a wholesaler whom had great prices. We selected a sample, which he purchased and installed that same day. Great experience!

They are extremely well priced or very competitive. They are very responsive and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them and use them again.
