"While Mr. [member name removed]'s one-sentence review ("I would not use this provider if I could find this product elsewhere") implies that he was unhappy with our company, it is important for Angie's list members to keep in mind that we did not provide any services to Mr. [member name removed]. He chose to purchase Solatube International, Inc. brand products from us and have the installation done by some other means. The products arrived in a timely manner and Mr. [member name removed] came right over and picked them up. He expressed no dissatisfaction at the time. He then waited six months to share his opinion with Angie's list members. We are the premier distributor of Solatube International products for the greater Washington, DC, area. Our fantastic products come with a 10-year warranty and we pride ourselves on our great customer service. Rarely, some folks choose to purchase just the products and do not want us to install them. While this doesn't happen often, we are happy to provide these wonderful products to buyers. We are not however, able to warranty the installation of the products if we do not install them. We hope Mr. [member name removed] will give us the opportunity to install these fine products for him in the future."
While high up in my attic (high pitched roof) the contractor also resealed my dryer exhaust tube which had come loose. They performed this at no charge.
I would use this contractor again without question. I would also recommend this product. It has brought light to an otherwise dark staircase.
"We ALWAYS respond IMMEDIATELY to anyone who is interested in our widely-popular products and services. We left [member name removed] two voice messages but he did not return our calls. When we contacted him a third time he answered the phone and was very upset, claiming we never left him any messages. We apologized to him numerous times because we believe the customer is always right no matter what, and offered to come by at his earliest convenience. Even though he said he was now no longer interested in an estimate, we asked him if there was anything at all we could do to resolve the situation to his satisfaction. He said no and hung up. We are very disappointed that [member name removed] would not give us the opportunity to offer him our wonderful products and services. We feel it is also important to emphasize that this review is not in any way a reflection on the quality of our work. We were never given the opportunity to work for [Member Name Removed]. We also purchased a SolaTube as our family room was quite dark during the daytime. Rich and his staff installed the SolaTube in an afternoon (same day as the skylights). Installing the SolaTube required cutting into our roof and bringing the tube from the roof through a small area in a linen closet on the second floor and ending up in the family room. Sunlight is now reflected through the tube and brings bright sunlight into our family room during the day. We are very pleased with the workmanship and the clean up with Amazing Skylights, Inc.
- Put in a request for estimate online. Next day received a call to set up appointment to meet and discuss options. Set up appointment to have product installed. Installers were on time, it took an hour to put in and they were ever professional and clean.
- The whole project from online request to completion took less than a week. Very pleased with the results!
They were great about calling when the skylights came in and calling the day before the installation (weather does play a part in skylight replacement). They were here when they said they would be and cleaned up afterwards.
