Service was excellent - showed up when they said they would, and still treated us with top-notch respect even though we weren't using them to move their stuff (I think this deal is a loss-leader or at minimum lead generator as they offer free quote). Threw in some extra paper and an extra wardrobe box.
All materials of super high quality and would not hesitate to buy again or use these guys to move. A+ in my book.
They showed up on time, explained all they would do, and finished exactly on time.
Movers the next day were very nice but they put garage/shed items in wardrobe boxes with no labels so all those boxes ended up in our guest bedroom. The movers also placed heavy items on top of furniture in the warehouse breaking a lateral file, part of a desk, lamp and scratching furniture.
The move-in crew at the new house did not communicate well. Did not read the boxes and put them in wrong rooms. And, very heavy boxes, marked heavy, were placed on top. The dropped a desk drawer and broke it but that was an accident. Nice guys like the others but not properly trained. We contacted Quality Services about the boxes and demanded they send someone to relocate the heavy boxes to the shed and to correct rooms. We are unable to lift heavy boxes which is why we hired movers! It took a week to get a crew out, so we lost another week of unpacking time. The second crew was excellent and actually knew what to do. They got everything done within an hour and covered the wood floors (we asked the other crews but they did not have floor pads or cloth!). Our floors are scratched too.
We have filed a claim for the broken and damaged items but if we receive compensation it will in no way take care of the time and money lost during the past 3 weeks. Lost work hours, buying duplicate items, and extreme frustration for the entire family. I am still trying to have a conversation with Andy Graves but we have not been able to talk yet. The claims person is very nice.
I really wanted to give them an F but the company did OK in a few areas.
Everyone at Quality Services was helpful from beginning to end. When I went to their facility on a Saturday morning to pick up some boxes, one of the warehouse guys stopped what he was doing to help me load them in my car. When we hadn?t finished disassembling furniture on the morning of the move, their team took care of it for us. The team leads were extremely organized, and the entire crew worked like a well-oiled machine. I was amazed that the move to our new 5,000 square foot office was completed in just a few hours? time.
I would recommend using Quality Services?and their efficient crew?to anyone in the DC area who might be looking for a good moving company.
The team was efficient, careful, and went above and beyond to make the whole experience stress-free.
We were very pleased with their service.
The deliver came the next day on time. One crew member (the crew chief) stayed with our belonging. The other men were equally strong, pleasant and worked well with each other. They were patient with us as we determined where to place each piece and even offered to move certain items around to our liking ~~ with a smile! Our beds were put together and our lives were back on-track. When we realized one mirror was missing, I called Craig Little. After checking every possible place, Craig went back to our old house, knocked on the door and retrieved the missing mirror - and then delivered it!
What a relief it was. I plan to use Quality Service Moving again when my parent relocates and I've already referred them to two other customer.
Truck issues the morning of the move had slowed things to a crawl, and I was in a panic about leaving on time (and missing the Washington, DC traffic!). The team, led by Joe Madison, OUR HERO, Jorge, and Horacio packed our valuable art collection and our remaining household goods without our being present, so we could get on the road. We felt comfortable that we could trust them to get the job done right. As we had hoped, they were amazing! Because of some challenges encountered, QSM promised that our household goods would be delivered early in Austin. True to their word, our truck arrived almost week ahead of schedule. We were thrilled! Andy Graves, thanks so much for your help and also thanks to Ben Knowlton for handling our calls with professionalism and calm reassurance. Just what we needed! QSM rocks!
