"Thank you for your feedback. The process of cleaning and sealing granite countertops is very different from honing and/or polishing them. In the cleaning and sealing process, we apply a pH neutral soapless cleaner to the stone surface and let it dwell. We then razor scrape the surface removing contaminants and grime followed by wiping down and drying the surfaces. We then apply a commercial grade, high quality sealant to protect the stone from penetration by foreign substances. This process cleans and protects the surface but does not address the shine of the surface. In a hone and polish or clean and crystallize (polish) process, the end result is to clean and enhance the shine of the surface. Both of these processes are more involved time and material wise with honing and polishing taking a great deal of time and material in particular. The cost, naturally, of these two processes is considerably higher than the more common clean and seal process."
