Johnny arrived at expected time, opened cover to pump and discovered a plastic bag (imagine) wrapped around the blades of the pump. He removed the bag, flushed the unit and made sure it was working properly. He was pleasant, professional, and really cares, a rare trait these days. Price was fair and he didn't try to sell me anything additional which is also rare these days. I asked Johnny a lot of other questions (water heater, hose bibs) and learned a lot. A great experience. Will certainly use this company and ask for Johnny when the need next arises.

It went well, he was on time, figured out what to do with me, recommended valves to change that were bad, and did a good job.

I was not happy as I had to keep calling them to get a particular part which was a hassle. I would not use them again.

He came on time and performed the installation. I only questioned the installation of a new float valve assembly since the one that was in the tank was perfectly alright, the explanation was it was included in the price of a rebuild.

Called Plumb Crazy, they came and inspected that day, ordered the replacement parts and upgraded the unit the following day. Had Johnny on point and Scott (one of the owners) riding shotgun on the install. Very professional, proficient and personable. Kept me updated and the price was fair and competitive. I recommend them highly.

We had a sudden rupture in a water pipe in an uninsulated crawl space at 10:30 in the evening. I called Plumb Crazy and Scott returned my call within minutes. He asked if it was a true emergency because he was not feeling well, had just climbed into bed. I told him that regrettably it was and Scott was at our home within 30 minutes. Rather than just shutting off the main and leaving us without water until the morning, Scott left to get tools in order to fix the leak that night and give us water to part of the house, including the heating system. Very important to us because it was rather cold! He returned the next day with his team and they replaced all the questionable water shutoffs very quickly and efficiently. This was not my first time working with Plumb Crazy. Johnny had done work for us as part of a home sale, which was also an excellent experience. Both Scott and Johnny have been frank about what we need and don't need. This is a really good team of likable, knowledgeable guys who get the job done. I'd recommend them of course.

I called around 10:30am to have a plumber come out to see what the problem was and try to repair. I talked to Scott who gave me an earful of what the problem might be and concluded I needed a new water heart and it couldn't be fixed! He said it could possibly be fixed if it was electric but I have a gas water heater. I would expect that kind of conclusion after a service tech actually came out to diagnose and attempt to repair the problem. I had Plumb Crazy come out once before for a similar problem. Same conclusion. Water heater needed to be repaired. I called someone else who was able to fix the problem and told me my water heater did not need to be replaced. The other plumber replaced the thermostat and thermocoupler assembly and the water heart has been working fine since. Seems like Plumb Crazy doesn't repair gas water heaters. They just want to install new ones. They may be great at everything else except gas water heaters. Update 03/25/2013: It has been over a year since my water heater was repaired. I am still on the same water heater (Knock on wood) and it is going strong. Yeah, a new water heater probably would have been ideal but a replacement was not in the budget. What was I supposed to do? Go without hot water until I could afford a new one? Ridiculous!!! When I am ready for a new one I will definitely NOT be calling Plumb Crazy. It will be with the one that was considerate enough and took the time to come out and see the problem for himself, FIX IT, and get my hot water restored! Thank you Mr. Rooter!

The experience overall went well. Was some delay in getting it finished but it wasn't due to the providers fault. Highly recommend this provider's service.

I had a water line pressurizer fail. I needed 24 hours after hours service. I placed a call to Scott. Scott quickly returned my call. I found unfortunately another highly rate plumbing service got me to first. Scott has been highly responsive in the past. Based solely on the Scott's willingness to listen and triage the scenario over the phone i would recommend Scott and Plumb Crazy.

Plumber never showed up for scheduled appointment and never called to explain reason for delay and no show. When we called the next day to inquire why the plumber never showed up, was not provided with an exceptable explanation. Was told that plumber called but we have no record of the call.

As mentioned above, we were totally pleased with the work performed by Scott, from Plumb Crazy, Inc. from his first visit, his efforts to find parts that weren't readily available, and the time it took him to install them, which was not easy to do. He consulted us on exactly what he had to do, indicating that it might be difficult to find the parts; had he not been able to find them, this would have meant a much bigger job, tearing out tile wall, etc., so he saved us a lot of money. I would highly recommend him.

During all the rain our sump pump had failed and in a matter of five hours had over ankle-high water in our entire finished basement. We didn't know of the flooding until after normal business hours and started calling through a list of plumber's on AL. Plumb Crazy was one of the first to call us back even though they were extremely busy at the time. Johnny was dispatched, quickly came in and diagnosed the problem, and using a trick of the trade was able to clear even the over ankle high water in over 1000 sq ft basement in an hour. Before starting the work he completely explained the process, what may have happened and even some next steps when dealing with water mitigation. He replaced the sump pump quickly (with a much better version than the builder had installed) and stayed until we both were comfortable that the pump was working as intended and could handle the volume of water still coming in. While there are a couple of cleanup items left to do, Johnny has been one of the best experiences we have had with a home event like this. For the type of event we had, the amount of work that had to be done, and the emergency circumstances in which it took place, after dealing with Johnny, the price was completely fair. I would definitely use Plumb Crazy again, and will specifically request Johnny.

Johnny was professional and friendly, and tightened a leaky ball valve for our external hose bib as long as he was there, and appears to have fixed a small toilet problem as long as he was installing the toilet intakes. I forgot to give him the coupon when he did the original work, but when we discovered we had forgotten to get the bathtub leak fixed, he came back and did it without charging us in lieu of the coupon. He was extremely friendly, and was honest about how some things would not require replacement and how we could work with our home insurance for others. I called on a Monday, had the estimate done by Tuesday, and all of the original work was done by Wednesday afternoon. When I called back Wednesday night because I had forgotten about the tub leak, they got me squeezed in for Friday. He impressed me enough the first time, but throwing in the second visit because we forgot to tell him about it the first time was above and beyond the call as far as I was concerned. With the exception of one time issue because rt. 7 had a backup, he was more than prompt. He was honest and professional, and I would hire these guys again.

They were really great. They came out right away and did a really thorough job for me. The person who came out was very friendly and honest and cleaned up after himself. I will definitely call them again.

Had to leave a message but there were issues with their phone service system. I needed service for replacing a water heater and wanted to go with a hybrid system. When I finally got a call back, but maybe hybrid systems are something they don't do - he never said otherwise. He did inquire if it was an emergency (it wasn't but I did want to get it resolved (a new system) sooner rather than later. They never followed up to meet and discuss my needs. I'll go elsewhere.

Plumb Crazy has been an excellent plumber to deal with and I plan to use them in the future.

I called for an estimate and did not get a return call. I called again, 3 days later, and a time for a free estimate was set up. Then at the time they were to arrive, they called and said they were busy and asked if they could re-schedule, saying that my "free" estimate was messing up the schedules of the "paying" customers. I am sure I can find a plumber with a better customer service attitude.

I give them a B overall and quality since any actual repairs were not performed, so I can not in good faith make any assumptions on the overall quality of repair work. I rated a B on price simply because a company needs to have really good prices that are easily verifiable against competitors. I would be happy to change to an A if it is proven they really do have great prices as opposed to an individual Master Plumber not associated with a company. I gave them a B on punctuality simply because when told a time frame, I expect someone to show up between that time frame, not slightly after. Perhaps a little obtuse on my part, but I really, really like an established time for an appointment and when the individual shows up on time or early. The scope of the problem left me wanting to obtain additional estimates on cost and scope of project. The technician couldn't provide a reliable estimate on overall cost or on where the issue was located exactly. He believed it would require the removal of kitchen sink/cabinets and stove/refirgerator due to the lack of space, and pulling up my floor to get to find the broken pipe and replace. Something I am not willing to do unless absolutely necessary since that would require a full kitchen remodel at this point. Since the problem (or cost to repair associated damage) is not covered by insurance or warranty, I'm willing to explore my options. If that is the case, I definitely need to a few more estimates and concurrence on the problem and how best to fix it. I said I would not use them again, only because at this point I do not know if I will use them or choose another company, who might be able to provide a less intrusive method if one is available/exists, to repair the pipe coming from the kitchen. The only real issue was lack of equipment on hand (camera), causing a 2 day delay on verification of the problem. They were accomodating to my schedule, which I appreciate since I commute to/from DC. The owners were very professional when addressing any concerns and amenable to positive solutions when miscommunications arose.

We have been overhauling our master bath which called for new/replacement faucets. When I realized I needed a plumber, I checked out Angie's list which is where I found Plumb Crazy in, Leesburg, VA. I contacted them on Friday and was able to set up a service call for the following Tuesday. Our technician Johnny arrived within acceptable time frame range. He was courteous and quickly installed our valve. It appears I will need their assistance again and will not hesitate to call for follow-up work.

I was not home at the time, but my husband reports that the Plumb Crazy plumbers arrived quickly. It was an emergency of sorts, as my husband was leaving shortly for a trip. Scott came and fixed the problem in time for my husband to catch a flight. I have used Scott and his company several times in the past and they have always been responsive and helpful. We have a good working relationship and I will always call him first!

We called Plumb Crazy at 11:30 this morning (December 29 - between the holidays). They had a guy installing a water heater in Cascades (next subdivision over from us). They promised to have him come by this afternoon to assess why our water heater would not give us hot water. He came over and explained the problem in detail and gave us the option of repairing it or replacing it. We opted to replace it and upgrade from a 50 gallon tank to an 80 gallon tank. They were able to get the new tank the same day, and were going to come back at 6 PM to install, which we were pleased to hear because we have newborn twins and were missing our ability to use hot water. They gave us a courtesy call to let us know that they would arrive at 8:30 because they were finishing up another installation, which was fine with us because we really wanted the new tank to be installed today. While they were here, they performed the work well, conscious of the newborn twins in the house (trying to be quiet, explaining that the recommended settings would not scald skin but we should still be careful). They finished at 11:30 PM after cleaning up completely. They were very courteous, friendly, and gave us all kinds of information about the new hot water heater. When they left, they said we'd have hot water in a half hour, but to call the number on the back of the invoice if we had any problems, that they answer the phone 24 hours a day. This is the largest hot water heater Plumb Crazy has installed in Sugarland Run subdivision to date. Best of all, this was not considered an emergency but a routine installation! Scott and Johnny were the installers and were absolutely wonderful! We would recommend this company and these guys to anyone with any plumbing problems.

Left message and had call-back within 10 minutes. Were able to fit in a non-emergency appointment within 24 hours but we delayed service for a week. Plumber informed me it was OK to use Draino in PVC plumbing, that we didn't need to have the line in the refrigerator water dispense cleaned, and the dishwasher issue sounded more like an appliance issue and not a drain issue--essentially passed on bilking a customer three times! Services performed were on target with regards to price. Day of service they called and asked if they could come early and were there ten minutes into the new time window. They recommended an appliance servicer that I was able to independently verify as being of very high quality in service, products, and prices--the "company you keep" (or recommend) being another positive sign. Held off on rating quality for six months or so; will see how the hardware holds up and, if needed, what they do to replace or repair if needed. Definitely recommend, was impressed all the way around.

Discovered some water damage to a wall in newly finished basement. Was able to trace source of water to a leak in the copper water supply. Called Plumb Crazy and was able to make a same day appointment. Plumber arrived a little late (but I wasn't getting charged for an emergency repair). He told me where he thought I should cut into the drywall to get to the pipe. After I cut out the drywall and turned off the water, he was able to cut out an 8 foot section of bad copper and then replace it with supplies he had on the truck. Fairly straightforward. He was friendly, knowledgable and talkative.

Our guest bathroom shower started leaking and I could not get valve to shut off the water flow completely. We have a guest arriving soon so I called Plumb Crazy (based on their Angie's List rating) and they said they could send someone out the next day. Johnny was prompt and in spite of the fact that the shower valve was a non-name builder's special from the mid-1970s, he was able to repair it in short order. We also had a small leak in a shut-off valve in the basement which he corrected, and also showed my wife how to tighten it in the future. Lastly, he looked at a sporadic leak we had in the basement below our master bathtub and diagnosed the issue as a poor caulking job. Johnny did a fantasic job and we couldn't be happier with the service and his willingness to educate us.
