Worst experience ever dealing with these people - especially Carlton, who was responsible for fixing my TV. Very unscrupulous and unprofessional. He came to the house, took $75 cash, and took a part out of the TV and refuses to return the part to us after more than a month. He has come up with all kinds of excuses as to why he cannot get a replacement part, but will not return the part either. I think that he basically stole a working part out of my TV to fix another TV. Whenever I call him, he basically yells at me about how he's got other commitments and that he's too busy. He should be reported to the Better Business Bureau.
Description of Work: Came to the house to perform diagnostics. Said there was a bad part that needed to be replaced. He took the part out, got paid in cash $75, and has neither fixed the TV nor returned the part for us to follow up on our own.

In-home service calls involve travel, disassembly,and technical diagnoses..service calls are not refundable nor are we as a small business responsible for a major company such as Samsung not having parts available to repair their products,I ask that customers never blame the servicer when repair parts are not available,our goal is to to repair a product, in timely manor ,things beyond our control are just that.this customer was made aware within days,that we could not get the parts from Samsung,and that we were searching other industry sources,they agreed to wait,I gave them the part numbers to do their own search ,they too could not find the the part ,then they demanded return of defective part during xmas rush advise d them I would get them on schedule asap.Defective part has since been returned and re-installed.

My Samsung tv started to click a few months ago before turning on and then eventually stopped turning on altogether. I described the problem to Tyler TV repair and they informed me that this was a common problem with my model of TV and informed me there was a class action suit against Samsung with this very problem and that the repair should be covered by them. They provided me with a phone number to call to schedule a repair with them and they came out the next day to fix my TV. I had no idea that there was an issue with the Samsung's not turning on and if wasn't for them helping me with this covered repair I might have paid quite a bit to repair this TV. They were very professional once they came out to fix my TV-not making a mess and finishing the repair in less than 15 minutes. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs a their tv repaired.

described in detail the problem I was having, he asked a few questions, then said it was probably a problem with the main board................he felt that given age of unit and probable type of repair, it would not be economical to repair. Was impressed with their honesty and professionalism. Based on this experience I would certainly bring other things into them to repair.

Did great work but was not very responsive in returning phone calls. Initially job was suppose to be about 1 week but went nearly 3 weeks. Had to call several times to get a response of why it was taking longer than anticipated. Once work commenced he did a great job in troubleshooting and repairing unit. Work quality was excellent and unit is performing without issue.

Carlton and Bobby arrived at my house on time. They took a look at the TV, ran some diagnostics, and took pictures of the LCD screen. They indicated that I would need a new LCD panel, which would be covered under warranty. They said they would call me when the new panel arrived. About 10 days later they called and scheduled an appointment to replace the LCD panel. The replacement panel was installed and works perfectly.

I called Tyler's just before Thanksgiving. A technician answered the phone while in his vehicle and said he would call me that night when he got home. He did not call. I figured something got lost in the shuffle of the holiday. About 2 weeks later I called again. This time, I left a message on the answering machine. Again, I did get a call back. Instead, I called PWS Electronics, with whom I had an excellent experience.

Tyler's TV were running a few hours late when they arrived, but they did let me know. The service call consisted of confirming that the HDMI card in our TV needed to be replaced and recording all the serial numbers and model numbers. They were very professional. In the end they were not able to get the parts to repair our TV. My only complaint with their service is that I had to request a copy of their evaluation multiple times, via email and phone.
Description of Work: Tyler TV came out and examined our TV that had been struck by lightning. They determined that the HDMI card needed to be replaced. They took down all of the relavent details, e.g., seriel number, model number.

Our 55" Vizzio LCD TV suddenly stopped displaying the picture. I called Tyler's TV from Angie's List and they told me over the phone that since there was no damage to the screen and because we saw a blue haze when the TV was turned on, that the problem was probably a circuit board and could be repaired at a reasonable cost compared to purchasing a new TV. The TV is only 2 years old and otherwise in perfect condition, so hard to part with. Tyler's TV came out the next business day after I called them, disassembled the TV and diagnosed the problem. We had to wait about a week for the new part to arrive, but through no delay on Tyler's TV part. The TV was repaired without a hitch and is as good as new. I recommend this company for their knowledge, price and professionalism.

I was having issues with my 42 inch Samsung LCD TV (it would click and take several tries before turning on and there were often little dots of color on the screen after finally coming on). So, I found Tyler's TV on Angie's list and was going to have them come out to give me an estimate to see if it was worth fixing. When speaking with them and telling them about the issues I was experiencing, they told me that it sounded like it was a capicitor issue that many Samsung models were experiencing and that I should call Samsung and see if my TV fell under this manufacturer's warranty. I took their advice and called Samsung. Samsung agreed that it sounded like their issue and gave me permission to have the TV looked at and fixed and they would cover the cost. I told Samsung that I wanted Tyler's TV to repair my TV. Samsung called them and told me that Tyler's TV would contact me within 2 business days which they did. They worked with me to pick a day/time. The arrived slightly beyond the scheduled window and I had to call them (that's why I gave them a B for punctuality) but the 2 gentelmen who arrived were very courteous and professional and had my TV fixed within 20 minutes.It works just like new again! I appreciate the honesty and assistance they gave me with my first call, in directing me to go to Samsung first. The rest of the experience went just as well.

I was exceedingly pleased with the professionalism and service of this company and would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Our 45" Samsung TV was experiencing the "failure to turn on promptly" problem. I had explained the problem over the phone and the repair people arrived with the necessary parts and gave me all the information to contact Samsung while they were there. Tyler TV was very helpful from beginning to end. He gave me an idea what was wrong and what the cost would be -- as opposed to the store (mom and pop store, not a big box) where we purchased the TV originally who was not helpful at all. Since this report is almost two years after the repair, I'm able to say that the repair worked and our TV is operating fine. I will certainly continue to do business with Tyler TV.
