TYLER'S TV

Description of Work: I emailed these guys through Angie's list email service, never heard back. So not sure who's at fault.

Description of Work: The TV is a 55 inch located over the fire place. The TV was providing a picture some days and others it would not. They removed it from the wall and took the back off. They believed it was a break in the circuitry and looked for a place where the board could have been cracked. They attempted to solder where they believed it broken. They had a difficult time getting it back on the wall and straight. I had to provide assistance as one of the men could not do it. The TV failed again in a short time. I called and they said they would have to get a board but it was not manufactured any more by Sony and they would email to other repair/parts places for the part. The TV worked intermittently. I called when it went out again and they had not followed through in getting the part. It finally was now into Fall and without the summer weather, the TV has worked all Fall and Winter. I expect it to start going out sometime this Spring or Summer. I looked for the part myself and it appeares that it is easily available. through Sears I don't know why Tyler TV did not want to take care of my problem. They did not follow through on what they told me they would do and they did not follow-up with me, keeping me informed of their progress or lack thereof. Very disappointing. I will go elsewhere next time.

Description of Work: I had a terrible experience with Tylers TV. I had a Samsung TV that needed to be fixed due to a defective part. Samsung chose them to repair my TV and they called me to set up an appointment. We agree they would come to my house on Friday to do the repair. Later in the day I was called by Bobby who said they could not come on Friday, but would come on Thursday. I said I was not available on Thursday due to minor surgery, but I was available all next week. He said he would make out the schedule for the next week and let me know what time the appointment was. The next day I was advised by Samsung that Tyler TV had cancelled the service order without my knowledge or contacting me. I called Tyler TV to complain and the voice maill message box said that their voice mail box was full. I had to contact Samsung and reinstate the service order. This company was totally unprofessonial and caused me unnecessary effort for

Description of Work: Carlton is very professional. I gave him the blinking power light code for me 8 year old Panasonic 50" Plasma and he gave me a rough estimate over the phone. He and his assistant arrived as promised on Monday, correctly determined that I needed the part he suspected, a new power supply. They ordered it from Panasonic and installed it as promised on Friday.

Description of Work: I have a Samsung TV with the clicking on and off power issue. Carlton came and fixed the problem within 20 minutes and it was covered by Samsung even though the warranty had expired. Tyler TV is recommended by Samsung for repair.

Description of Work: I called Tyler,s TV Leaving a message inquiring about setting up an appointment to assess and determine the cost of repairing my 50" TV. Never heard from them. I waited a week, called again and left a second message. Again no return call. Hence I plan on finding another TV repair service.

Description of Work: What a great experience. I spoke with Carlton and described the problem my LCD TV was having. He asked me to send him a picture of the problem since it sounded like a cost prohibitive repair (for me) and he would save me a service charge by providing his assessment over the phone. I sent him a picture and in < 24 hours received confirmation that I had a classic LCD panel failure that was not considered an economical repair. Carlton saved me some time and money and that is very much appreciated. If they just wanted the money they could have come to my house for 5 minutes and told me the same thing, but I would be out the service call fee. I like how Carlton was upfront and honest in his work.

Description of Work: 10 minute job to remove lamp from DLP television and replace it.

Description of Work: Rewired my home theater to add a vudu system.

Description of Work: 75.00 for Service call. Sony Authorized repair. The warranty was over but Tyler's TV contacted Sony and advocated for resolution. Thanks to their help, Sony approved major repair. They came three time, initial service, pick up TV when part came in, returned TV less than 24 hours. All service prompt, courteous and with great communication. An absolute pleasure to work with and exceeded my expectations. This was an Angie's List referral.

Description of Work: My rear screen TV was not working. I called and made an appointment for the next day. I also had to call back to provide the repairmen with my model number so he had the required parts when he came out. 2 repairmen came out and corrected, cleaned and adjusted the color settings. They were very professional and I would recommend anyone in the Washington DC area to use them.
