Excellent service. I can’t say enough good things about the incredibly talented, intelligent and caring Dr. Mark and Kelly Gottschalk. I followed them from a previous practice over 20 years ago and don’t mind driving the distance to have them take care of my animals. I trust they always make the correct diagnosis and recommendation based on what is best for my pet. I’m offered choices with pros and cons of each. The staff is fantastic and well educated. Most are licensed Vet Techs and have been at Wellesley for many years. There is always followup by either the Veterinarian or his staff to check on how my pet is doing following all visits and procedures. It has always been an overall great experience and I would not ever dream of bringing any of my pets anywhere else.

They’ve been phenomenal with my dogs. Pricing is a bit expensive. My dog has a crippling and he is very difficult.

I've been going there for three years. They're awesome, they call for a reminder, they do it by email as well. They also very flexible in scheduling. They call the day after even if it's just routine check up to see how your pet is doing. They're very enthusiastic and energetic. They obviously love animals there. Dr. Evan is actually a friend of ours. He's very professional, very courteous, very knowledgeable. I feel like some vets, they are sometimes judgmental like your dog should only eat this kind of food. He's very down to earth, very knowledgeable and is like here are these foods that can make your dog healthy, but these things you don't necessarily need to focus on. So, we love it.

Wellesley Animal Hospital worked us in on a Saturday, and this is not unusual for them. They will always take you if your pet needs to be seen. We did not wait long at all, they took us right back.
We saw Dr Parker Nash. First, Dr Nash is one of the most compassionate and caring veterinarians you will ever meet in our opinion and 20 yr experience as dog owners of 3 wonderful schnauzers.
We are so grateful that we saw Dr Nash as his compassion and patience and caring was what we needed that day. Our 15 year old Buddy ( a mini-schnauzer) was examined and Dr Nash advised us to get an x-ray which showed fluid pressing on his lung and "bark box". Dr Nash compassionately told us it could be a possible tumor, as well as other possible diagnoses based on the xray. He definately could tell there was fluid in Buddy's pleural area. Dr Nash provided treatment options and based on our decisions he very skillfully drained out some of the fluid and arranged for Buddy to be taken to VRCC in Manakin Sabot, where an internist was assigned to Buddy. Dr Nash provided a full and comprehensive report to us, and referral report to VRCC, and followed up and assured us not to worry about the details, just to take Buddy there. In retrospect Dr Nash was very accurate with all the possible diagnoses based on his veterinarian exam. VRCC was waiting and prepared to do a work-up on Buddy.
( God's Buddy ( our beloved Schnauzer) had cancer, and has since gone to Heaven, but because of the workup by Dr Nash , and follow up at VRCC we were able to have all of Buddy's fluid drained and we loved him until it was time for him to be with his creator. He did not have to suffer. Dr Nash was always available for us to talk to us and provide his experience to help us know how to make sure Buddy did not suffer, what to look for and quality of life issues. )
PS VRCC was wonderful also - see my review there if you would like VRCC is Veterinary Referral and Critical Care

I took my cat for an annual well visit check. She has a chronic cough and is overweight. The front office staff was very friendly and professional. I saw Dr. Alli. Dr. Alli and aides are also friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I had questions and concerns about my cats weight and her cough. I never once felt rushed during the appointment. My follow up phone calls with Dr. Alli were also unrushed. She provided me with additional information and confirmed what I was doing was correct. I really like the at ease way this business seems to be run. There aren't any strong odors that I have noticed at other vets.

The vet is really thorough and caring with our dogs. We have an 11 year old and a 7 month old puppy. They were both well cared for and treated appropriately for their ages.

After we take the dog in, they call back within a day or two to check on how the dog is doing. My overall experience with them has been excellent.

It is a husband and wife team. We see Dr. Kim. They do see birds. She was voted veterinarian of the year in 2009 in Virginia. I don't have an ordinary bird; it is a wild bird that I've had for 6 years. She is great with him. She is really a great veterinary. They don't charge very much and they have to spend a lot of time doing the trimming.

We just recently switched to Wellesley and have thus far been very pleased. Their office visit fee is slightly higher than I was used to paying (around $55) but their service is outstanding. They even call you after every appointment to make sure you pet is doing ok (even if it was just a well visit). I also don't feel pressured to buy lots of products from them, unlike other vets.

I've been taking all my pets to WAH for years. I originally went to them because they are one of the few vets in the area that handles exotic animals and could care for my rabbit. The vets and the staff are friendly and caring. My dog LOVES going to the vet. (How many people can say that?!) It helped that when she was little we took her to Puppy Socialization Classes at the vet's office and she learned to associate going to the vet with playtime and treats. She loves Dr. Mark, and I love that he gives me all the information on vaccines and medications allowing me to make informed decisions knowing all the benefits and risks of each option as well as which he thinks are necessary and which are not. This past year (2009) I took my dog to a different vet for her annual exam (a vet recommended to me by a friend after how expensive WAH was getting), but – while the visit went well – it wasn’t the same. It may be that I have years of history with WAH and have formed a trusting relationship with them. When I couldn’t decide which vet to continue seeing my husband asked, “If it was an emergency, where would you go?” and my unhesitating answer was “WAH.” I know they’ll do anything and everything to take care of my beloved pets. They even follow-up with you after each visit to make sure your pet is doing well. They are pricier than other pets in the area and you don’t always see the same doctor (I’ve had to start requesting to be seen by Dr. Mark), but the care and the service is the best.

This is the best vet! Everyone seems to really care about the animals. The folks at the front desk are friendly and helpful. The vets are awesome - they really respect the role of pet parents and are full of great information. Dr. Stifler and Dr. Bolling are wonderful!

The techs are kind and clearly love animals, and the vets are thorough and spend lots of time answering questions and giving the animal a thorough exam. My dog really seems to enjoy going to the vet. Their prices for medications are competitive with the online services, and they've recommended against certain unnecessary vaccinations to minimize the stress to the dog and my own costs. The vets are also willing to answer questions over the phone (for example, if your goofy dog eats something she shouldn't have eaten and you need to know if you should bring her in). I highly recommend Drs. Mark and Kelly Gottschalk
