Description of Work: Fix garbage disposal, dishwasher and dryer. Ended up replacing dishwasher & garbage disposal anyway. They were old. Still hanging onto dryer.

Description of Work: I appreciated the way things were done to my satisfaction and they are very trust worthy. I pretty much just left the guy to do what he needed to do. He was able to update some of plumbing in the bathroom that really needed it and it now cause of what was done I have absolutely no worry at all. I can't thank them enough for not taking advantage

Description of Work: I hired Guirkin to repair some plumbing that was damaged by local County contractors working on a water leak in the street. The plumber arrived was only about an hour late, but that is not horrible. He was to clear lines and repair pieces and parts of toilets, sinks and showers that were damaged by silt being blown into our plumbing system. The plumber was absolutely filthy, tracking in dirt and leaving greasy fingerprints everywhere he worked. He worked fairly quickly and it appeared all was well. That evening, it was discoverd that none of the bathroom faucet directional screens had been replaced and the water was not flowing properly. I called back and the same plumber was dispatced in the next two days. I almost did not accept the service, as he was comvered in dirt and grease, but again, against my better judgment, I had him repair the faucets. He went to each faucet and said all was working. I did not go behind him - I was concentrating on where he had been so I could clean up after him. The faucets were still not working and I found two parts in the sink drains. Also, one of the toilet's internal plumbing broke after one day of replacement and another of the repaired sinks that had not been leaking started to leak. I never called them back. It was a nightmare and I spent a lot of money. I never had the directional screens replaced and will pay another plumber this summer for an overhaul. I will never use Guirkin again.

Description of Work: I used them from April 4 1998 to Jan 15 2009 for all my plumbing needs. They were prompt and reliable. I switched companies because I thought they were getting a little pricey.

Description of Work: We had them install gas logs for us years ago. It’s not working at the moment, but the unit has been working well over the last few years. I’m not sure if I would use them again.

Description of Work: We’ve used them for several years, and we’ve NEVER had any issues with them. I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others. I’ve not found a better plumber! I was going to use them recently, but they didn’t get back to me in time. They charge about $99 just to come out, so they’re a little on the expensive (A- grade in that area), but then again, I’ve never compared them to their competitors. All the workers have been very reputable and I’ve felt like I could have given them a key to the house if I needed to. They always clean up their mess, they’re honest, upfront, and they’re prompt, too. I always see him out with his wife so I like that he’s a family man and locally owned!

Description of Work: I had them out to clean my air ducts. They did good work, and I’d use them again in the future if I needed it. The price was great because of the Angie’s List discount. They removed quite a bit of dust, so the quality of their work was very good.

Description of Work: Actually the main problem that I called them about, the serviceman couldn't do anything about. The toilets are too old and have a calcium buildup that really can't be fixed. He quoted me a reasonable replacement charge. Also, he did fix a leaky faucet outside at no charge. He was professional and courteous which I appreciated. I would call them again.
