Horrible, I was on the phone for over 2.5 hours and I was hung up 3 times after waiting over 30 minutes on hold each time. The problem was never resolved and I'm now cancelling all my services through them. Avoid at all cost, don't be swayed by their new customer prices.
Description of Work: Nothing, but charged me, that's entirely the problem. I have two cable boxes, one works and one doesn't.

Their bills are difficult to understand. Their pricing goes all over the place. I called them to discuss why our bill had jumped up $20 a month when nothing in our plan had changed. Two months later, our bill has jumped back up again, and I don't know why.

I have the bundle service with them. It works fine after I got them out to hook it up. I tried to get other providers to come out and they were the first ones to come out. They are professional and I would recommend them to others.

I called Comcast because I did not understand the charges on my latest monthly invoice. Though I ultimately received an answer, and the Comcast representatives were professional and courteous, it required about 45 minutes and two representatives to answer my inquiry, including the initial and intermittent wait times. So I don't take issue with the ultimate result, but the customer service in my opinion is very poor because it simply requires too much time.

This is on going after I was informed this morning 07-28-09 that the offer from the Comcast service agent was rejected. I was informed of this when I call again (4th call).
Description of Work: Cancelled service on 05-12-09, son returned cable box on 05-28-09. Comcast charge the account $33.30 dur to the cable box being returned on 05-28-09. My accoutn was paid via a automatic credit charge. When Comcast disconnected the account they also discontinued using the automatic credit card charges. They did not inform me that the last amount of $33.30 not be processed through the credit card. They did send me a bill that I set aside since they had prviously billed via the credit card. I did nto pay the bill and received another bill and then Comcoast turned my account over to a collection agency. During the billings cycle I have contacted Comcast 4 times, each time an agent said they would check into the account and contact me. Today is 07-26-09, I called back on the ticket number I recvied from Comcast and found that my ticked had been denied (ticket was an appeal, if I payed the $33.30 the credit reference would be deleted). The ticket numer from Comcast is 35452. Through out this time period Comcast has not contacted me, eventhough each time Comcast stated they would call me "next week". The customer service was poor, non responsive and their commitment to call back never materialized.

They are not customer friendly, I called them twice for problems, and they would not listen to me.

Throughout the time we subscribed to the basic service, the price increased periodically while the number of available channels declined. There were very few service outages, but we just didn't want to keep paying more for less!
Description of Work: Comcast provided us with basic cable TV service (as well as Internet service) for several years; gave us access to about 20 channels in all, only 10 of which we actually used (multiple shopping network, community access and C-SPAN channels were included in the basic package)

They keep decreasing the amount of services they provide and increasing the cost for the general category. My husband and I simply use television, and we aren't using enormous fancy hookups and this and that. Unless you want digital DVD, I realize that things are changing in February unless you want the most they have to offer. I am considering going to another provider, and I need to more research on that. They have very carefully over time removed stations (channels) that we enjoyed and made them available only if you buy the digital packages and so on. They have completely removed the TV guide listing, so there is no way you can go in and see what programs are playing or coming up. There is no reason to do that and it just seems malicious on their part. Overall, their quality of service is average.
Description of Work: We have COMCAST DIGITAL CABLE in our home, and we use television to watch movies, to get the news, etc.

Perfect example of what is wrong with monopolies! Every time someone in the neighborhood gets a cable adjustment, others lose service or have problems. I have perpetual problems with local channels and if I call, I'll have to be on call for half the day and there's a 50% chance they will not fix anything.

I was able to schedule my installation on a Saturday morning. The technician came exactly when he said he would be there. He had some trouble setting up the Internet, and it took him about an hour to complete. I have no complaints about the Internet service. I have not experienced an interruption yet, and it never seems to run slow.
Description of Work: I pay $35 for broadband Internet service. I got a good rate for signing up with them for TV and digital phone for a year. I expect my rates to rise significantly after the deal is over.

Everything about Comcast is fantastic (throughout, both up and down, service continuity, responsiveness), except the price, which is double what my friends in other parts of the country pay. Guess that's what you get with a monopoly, eh?!
