Haymarket Motors is what a Garage is supposed to be. Quickly found the problem, told me how long it would take and delivered ahead of schedule. What I appreciate most is that they fix things and don't just do wholesale parts replacement. My wife and I both trust them to do what is needed to keep the cars safe and running after 250,000 miles on one and 200,000 on the other. They are never trying to upsell me on services that I don't need and let us know when something isn't worth fixing.

Can't recommend Haymarket motors strongly enough.

Honest and thorough  They do a real good job with them. I have total confidence in their abilities and trustworthiness and their decisions to repair what needs to be repaired.

They are very good, they are very friendly. They provide an exceptional service at a reasonable price. He is very honest.

I dislike going to mechanics. Every place always wants to overcharge you, or make up stuff to fix. Not so with Haymarket Motors. Fred wants you to leave satisfied with his work and he wants you to return. He does the job right, as well as economically. Will definitely be using them from now on.

All work was performed in a timely, professional manner. Fred is simply the best mechanic around, and the only one I trust to repair and service my vehicles and my daughter's vehicles. He takes the time to actually repair items rather than merely slapping in new parts.

I had been searching for a good and honest mechanic for the past few years. These guys are the best! Quick, honest and pleasant to deal with. They've never tried to tack on extra's and have always taken care of my vehicles without trying to overcharge me for services I didn't need.

I have found an auto service center I trust! Fred will tell you like it is and will work with you to get what you need.

I am brand new to town and used Angie's List to find an auto service place as my car (Acura TL) needed some work done on it. I called Haymarket Motors and they were able to get me right in which was nice as I had delayed the repairs for too long. They fixed my car in a reasonable amount of time and charged me a fair price for the amount of work that needed to be done. Fred has over forty years of experience in auto repair and I could tell talking with him at the shop. I would not hesitate taking my car back there for service.

I have a 1996 Saturn. After three years in a row of $2,000+ maintenance bills at the Saturn (and now Chevy) dealership, I decided to find an independent auto repair service. My car had failed a safety inspection and I wasn't in the mood for another $2,000+ repair. The inspector said it needed a new muffler. After finding Haymarket Motors on Angies List, I made an appointment. Fred, the owner, has been in business for many years. His service garage is large and very clean. I brought it in the day I called and he took care of it over the next two days. He replaced the muffler (after confirming it was corroded), changed the oil, fluids, rotated tires, checked it all out and replaced an oil plug. He reinspected it (I didn't want to have to drive back to the first place.) I'm very happy with the entire experience. After seeing how happy I am, my husband has agreed to have Fred do the maintenance on his Lexus 430 (rather than spend thousands at the Lexus dealership). This service shop is a treasure that I didn't know was in Haymarket (even though I've lived here for 24 years). I wish I had found Haymarket Motors earlier.

It is located around in back off of Route 55 in downtown Haymarket. Put it on your GPS and then look for the directional signs once you turn off Rt. 55 and you'll find it.

American Service Center gave me an estimate to perform Schedule C maintenance on my Mercedes which was very expensive. By then the car is no longer covered under the new car warranty period. Since I didn't want to pay the exhorbitant price American Service Center was charging, I decided to take my car to Haymarket Motors (local shop) for an estimate based on a friend's recommendation. I was glad I did. Not only was the price more reasonable, but I didn't have to drive all the way to Arlington which was quite a distance from where I live. I think Haymarket Motors prices are reasonable; defintely professional and punctual. Will continue to go back to them to perform service maintenance and related repairs.
