Find Very few doctors in the area that accept Tricare Prime. Extremely frustrating as there are a lot of military or retired military in the area. The fact that this is the retired military persons health insurance is very sad if you can't get coverage without going far away. Also, hard to get timely referrals.

Enrollment was easy, and benefits clear to understand. Providers can change,but an on-line service provides the most current list of authorized providers. Customer service is easy to reach via an 800 number, and representatives are knowledgeable. Billing and payments are quick and easy to understand. Obtaining authorization for specialists is carefully explained in Tricare guidelines.

- I have Tricare standard so we can go to what ever Dr we want. We don't have a co pay, so there was nothing to pay for at the end of the visit. The Ped office sends in the paper work to Tricare and then I receive a bill from the Ped office for my portion of the visit. There is an annual deductible that needs to be met. Tricare has been good about answering questions so far, no problems.

We have been pleased with TRICARE Prime. We are restricted to which doctors we see (we must stay within network) but we have not had any issues getting referrals if needed. We do not have a copay and have never had an issue with a service not being covered.
