Mike and Charlie were prompt, professional and without having to ask for it, were gracious enough to provide us with a Military/Veterans Discount. Their work was diligent and they were super professional. We will be using The Plumbing Doctor in the future...

Determining that the pipe needed to be moved took a while. Although I told them where the old pipe was, they were digging in the wrong spot. Once they found it, things went well. The sump pump and temporary pipe went in in June. The permanent rerouted pipe was done on a second visit.

Great! The Plumbing Dr. was one of the few to respond to my after hours request. I have used them before and called them first but also looked online at Angie's List for other options. Dr. Liam came at 9:30 after finishing his previous job and fixed the faucet promptly. We were pleased as always with their work!

At around 5 pm our main sewer line clogged causing backup. Plumbing Doctor answered phone promptly and gave an estimated arrival time of 9 pm. Service tech contacted us around 9 with an update. He arrived assessed the situation, called the office and provided 3 options involving simple drain clean out to full camera inspection. Baseline price with 30 day warranty was $850. Full inspection with longest warranty was around $1200. He explained there might be complications with the trees in the front yard. We went with the baseline option and fortunately no roots were found in the pipe upon inspecting the auger. Work was completed by 11:00 pm. Estimates were given to clear out and update our utility sink drain ($550) and clear out our outside stair well drain ($350). We declined these and opted to clear out ourselves with a power auger rented from Sunbelt Rentals for $43. Overall I thought they were professional and prompt. I thought the price was quite high but given the circumstances I wanted the work completed ASAP. I did not get other estimates. I said YES on the rehire but I would get other estimates to compare.

We just moved in and on day 2 we had issues with the basement bathroom. Anytime water was used anywhere in the house, water would come out of the drain in the basement bathroom and the toilet would overflow. They were able to get someone out to us on a Saturday within two hours and took about two hours of work. The landlord paid so I don't know the price, but he was estimating about $1,000. Charlie was very clean and made no mess, he laid down paper to keep our white carpet clean.

Our 1950's era tub with original fixtures was no longer draining due to various clogs in the piping. Two plumbers arrived -- the Master plumber and the Journeyman -- and immediately recognized the fixtures were original and intact. They expertly handled the original hardware of the tub and the original drains, examined the issue, and identified the trouble spots. The work took just under two hours and included a full and thorough cleanup of the bathroom area. They offered various pricing options -- all that would resolve the problem, but included extras. The Master plumber described all the options and extras thoroughly so that I was comfortable with the option I chose. The drain now functions perfectly and the original fixtures continue to function as they should. They provided recommendations for continued maintenance, as well as where to purchase products economically. They were professional, respectful, and kind individuals. I also liked that they had an appreciation for preserving the original fixtures and the charm they lent to the home.

We had a very good experience with the Plumbing Dr. We had a non-emergency leak under our bathroom sink. We called and got an appointment within a day. Our mechanic was Cody, he was very professional, courteous and fixed the problem in less than an hour. They probably are not the cheapest company, but their prices were reasonable and within the range that we expected. I'd definitely call them again for another plumbing issue.

Needed plumbing service on Sunday afternoon (of a holiday weekend), as flapper in toilet tank was rapidly failing (needing refills every 5-10 minutes over the course of the day), with signs of possible leak at the shutoff valve (that I couldn't get to shut off completely either). Called a few plumbing companies, but others busy with pipe breaks, etc. Another company eventually called to say they might be able to come some hours later (evening); then David called to say he was in area, and could be here in 20 minutes! Cancelled other company and went with The Plumbing Dr. David arrived shortly after, quickly assessed the problem and, with parts stocked on his truck, got the replacement part installed quickly and checked for any other leaks. Got the shutoff valve to close completely and determined that the shutoff valve 'leak' was actually just excessive sweating from the very cold water that was constantly entering the tank (very cold weekend). Did dye test to verify that there was no further leak in the tank to the bowl -- all checked out fine. I went with the 'Band-Aid' service option - the other service options seemed excessive for what I needed - and was glad to be able to use an Angie's List coupon for first-time customers. $68 service charge hadn't been disclosed at time of call -- but it was a Sunday afternoon of a holiday weekend, so I wasn't going to complain -- and was glad to be able to get an experienced plumber there so quickly. Having had an awful experience with another plumbing company a few years ago, when a flapper went bad and the technician actually cracked/broke my previous toilet (while reportedly replacing a flapper!), I know from experience you can get what you pay for. These guys are experienced plumbers, licensed, bonded and insured, come with the parts on the truck (no running to Home Depot), and know what they're doing. Not only do they have great online reviews, but a neighbor highly recommended them a couple of years ago too. There's a lot to be said for quality, licensed work and peace of mind that the job is done right. Job was done quickly, expertly and efficiently. No sign of leaks anywhere. Would recommend.

Excellent. Service and repair was provided same day, on a Sunday evening, in 15 degree weather. Technician Dr. Jason identified source of leak promptly and made repairs and improvements in less than 2 hours. Exceptional service on a very busy weekend for plumbing repairs.

Work was scheduled conveniently, and started right on time. Drs. Bill and Larry discussed options for placement of the temperature valve, with an eye to making it convenient to operate without being in the way. Although we had already agreed to a price, they were extremely willing to do extra work to make the result a little more convenient. Dr. Larry completed the work quickly and neatly.

Please do not fall for the amazing FAKE reviews! Dave (Plumber) and Tracy (office manager) were extremely rude and tried to intimidate us to use their service. First, Dave waited only 5 mins until my tenant opened the door for him (apartment building). He added to the invoice $69 for 5mins waiting time (ABSURD). Second, he discussed the prices for the service (gold, silver, bronze, etc), I agreed with the "Bronze" option (6 months warranty for the 3 kitchen water valve replacement, but only 1 valve had a leakage). Then, after I signed the contract agreeing with the service ..... he decided to charge me 50% in advance (wanted me to pay immediately) and he said to me "this is the American way, man". I might not be from here, but we may pay the price of gold for good service in however....we definitely won't pay anything in advance until we see the job completed. He tried to charge $1,700 and wanted 50% of it in advance???? I asked him, would you pay someone this much money for a job that is not even done yet? He said to me "you are BULL ******** me". He said that in front of my tenant! So, I paid him for his visit $68 and told him that this is NOT the way he should treat a customer. My husband and I are speechless how disrespectful he and Tracy were with us! Dave was not just inappropriate, he made racist commends!? I am a nurse practitioner with a master degree and work with several doctors, no one charges that kind of price for a handyman type of job. Does Dave have a doctor/Phd degree? Does a Phd person charges $1,700 for 1-2hrs of work? I feel bad for people who actually paid them without getting a second quote. Please people do not let this company treat you this way, you deserve better! Update 12/11/17. I had AAA Plumber checking out my kitchen valves this morning, and there is nothing wrong with the valves or anything at all! He tightened them up and no more leakage. He would have charged me for his visit, but he didn't charge me anything! He said that there wasn't any work to be done!!!! So think about The Plumber Dr trying to charge me $1,700 for nothing!!!!! I'm just shocked!!!!!

Charged $850. Outrageous. Called are argued with Manager and they allowed a reduction to $270 after arduous discussion. But have not seen adjustment on credit Card yet.
Response from The Plumbing Dr

"Our service manager did speak with you regarding your experience. We did issue a credit back to your card and it was posted as of 10/17. We did email you a receipt showing that that was done. If there is anything else I can help with, please contact me directly at 703-525-9280 Tracy Bennett, Manager"

I've repaired my old toilet three times in the past 10 years and I was done. Dr. Charlie called and came on time. He presented several options, from band-aid repairs to replacing the 25 year old (with a 6 gallon tank) toilet with a water efficient one. I chose the replacement. He cleaned up the area and was done in 3 hours. He performed a general inspection of my home plumbing and gave me a quote for a future job. Now no more leaks and I save water too. It was a bit pricey but in the long term probably worth it.

The process went very well. Jason (the mechanic who performed the job) was very thorough, clean and patient. His willingness and ability to squeeze into a very tight space to do the job helped us save money by keeping the post-repair work to a minimum (just dry wall).

My wife and I moved into a new home and found a slow leak into our basement within the first couple weeks. We thought initially it was a leaking shower line that was going to cost a ton to repair. We had Liam from The Plumber Doctor come and happily he found it wasn't the shower line but a poorly installed dish washer Home Depot installed a few weeks earlier. Liam was on time, friendly, and explained everything he was going to do before so we could decide next steps. He was really knowledgeable about the materials used in our 1960s home and cleaned up after finding the leak. The reviews for Plumber Doctor are spot on! Highly recommend them.

Very well-- I had to check with my building engineer because the repaired faucet adjusted very easily while it had previously required a hard tug-- turns out Plumbing Dr Dave fixed it better than it was before since it now works as it was always supposed to

Quality workmanship. Very responsive, got the job done same day as the estimate. Some of the pricing options were a little confusing because the differences didn't really apply (things that might have made sense if toilets or garbage disposals were involved instead of just low pressure drain work). But the price was within what I expected. I'd call them again.

Dr. Jason did an excellent job. He arrived promptly and was able to identify and correct my problem. He was very thorough, professional, personable and knowledgeable. He explained what needed to be done and was very upfront with pricing. The pricing was fair and competitive. I am very pleased with the service that I received and I will certainly be using this company for all of my future plumbing problems. Great job, well done Jason!!!!!
