My family has trusted Nelson with all our HVAC needs for over 15-years. He is honest, reliable and most of all very professional. I trust his recommendations and work ethics. The last big job Nelson did for us was this past August. The downstairs A/C unit stopped working during the high heat wave. I called Nelson and he was able to come the next morning. After his careful inspection, he recommended to replace the unit. He provided a detail explanation as to why the old until could not be fixed and provided an estimate for a new unit. The estimate was extremely reasonable, and the new unit had great reviews. I was very pleased with the explanation and the cost. So, I signed the quote and he started the work. He was able to install the unit the next day. The job was completed from initial assessment to completion in two days. The final cost was exactly as the estimate. Not one penny more. As always, Nelson did a great job. I am so impressed with his skills, honesty and professionalism. I am very grateful to have him as my HVAC provider.

Quality of work was poor -- after a year, other service companies have flagged numerous problems with the installation that has led to extensive leaks and poor performance. After flagging the problems for the company, the failed to respond in any way leaving me to pay out of pocket to repair their mistakes. Avoid this company as they do not stand behind their work if problems arise.

Thorough and honest. Explained that my expansion tank was not installed according to Manufacturers instructions and a gap between the furnace and ductwork needed to be sealed by the original installation technicians from Frosty’s. Encouraged me to get my ductwork cleaned every 3-5 years.

Our furnace/AC combination unit went out during the weekend of Jonas blizzard.  This is a very unusual unit for a house in the sense that both the furnace and AC are enclosed in one big unit that sits outside the house.  Typically a furnace would be inside the house. Anyhow, on Monday morning after the blizzard I called nearly every HVAC shop in close proximity.  None of them other than Nelson HVAC was making service visits that day due to the roads.  Nelson came out Monday worked on trying to fix our existing unit for several hours while sitting in a puddle of melting snow basically. After explaining the issue to me, we agreed that it made more sense to replace the unit than try to fix it given its age and condition.  He had a crew come out on Tuesday and they shoveled a lot of snow to make a huge path to remove the old unit on Tuesday and they installed the new unit on Wednesday.  I really feel like Nelson went above and beyond trying to help us in a difficult situation when many others wouldn't even come out until the snow melted more.  Finally, everything was installed very professionally and is working great.

good-even though it might have been wiser to replace the entire system, it is still simple enough to fix with contacts and capacitors and perhaps a cat and some mouse traps in the fall. It is built much like a battleship, albeit a leaky one., but at least I will be cool tonight. Thanks Nelson.

They did a wonderful and thorough job cleaning the vent using a vacuum system which should have been used in the first place. Cleaned out the dryer as well which the other company did not do. Also had them replace my old thermostat with a digital one and he throughly explained how to use it. Four people showed up as compared to one with the other contractor. Nelson also took the time to explain how my hydronic HVAC system worked and inspected my hot water heater which feeds the heating unit.

I called Nelson to investigate why our gas furnace was blowing cold air. I could see that the igniter was not heating up to light the gas, but if I opened the unit (like you would to change the filter--I'm no expert) and then closed it back up, it would light. Nelson came to have a look and since it was working properly when he was there, it was a difficult task. He checked it over and decided that based on the behavior that I was describing that it was most likely the temperature sensor. He cleaned that part (rather than replace it) put it back. Then he showed me that there's a little window that you can see the a status LED through, and told me to count the blinks if it happens again and report back to him. So far, it's been working fine. A less scrupulous person may have told me to replace the part, or worse, and I would have believed him and paid the bill, but he is only interested in fixing what's actually wrong, rather taking as much money as he can from you. Nelson has done work for us before and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Nelson arrived on time and explained the problems in layman's terms. He seemed honest and did not try to do a hard sell as some other contractors had done. He supplied the permits and followed up with me to make sure the county inspector had come to check his work. I would use him again.

Nelson is very knowledgeable and is a nice guy. He explains everything clearly and slowly. He came on time, both times (for estimate and for work). He did the work, even though we had lost power in a storm. Using flashlights and a lantern, he completed all of the work. I would hire this guy back in a minute!!!
