After the delivery, my mother asked me to send her a photo of the flowers. She customarily makes this request, as she likes to be certain she got what she paid for. The description, provided by the florist on their website, says the arrangement includes "bright, red roses", and the arrangement was 15" high. After I sent my mother the photo, she sent me a photo of what she ordered. In the arrangement she ordered, it is an arrangement of red and white flowers (mostly carnations and spider poms), and you can count the number of flowers that can be seen in the view of the photo. I can count 20 red flowers and 12 white flowers, for a total of 32 flowers that can be seen in the photo. In the photo of what was delivered, you can see 3 white flowers and 4 red flowers, although since I possessed the flowers, I was able to count the flowers that were not visible in the photo, and there are a total of 19 flowers that were in the arrangement. There were no roses at all in the arrangement, and the height of the arrangement for all but one flower was 9" or less. There was one flower, a white flower, that stood tall above the rest, and it was 11" high. The arrangement of what they did put in was not attractive at all, as there were many "holes" just filled with baby's breath to try and make it look fuller. In trying to resolve the matter with the florist, there was no success. The owner of the shop, Michael Flood, told my mother on 12/17 that a replacement arrangement was on the truck for delivery for that day, and no delivery was made. Follow-up with the florist on 12/18 revealed that Michael Flood had lied to my mother, and they were "sorry for his behavior." The florist (Erin) insisted that she followed "the recipe" and did not owe me a replacement arrangement and refused to send one. My mom insisted that she didn't purchase the flowers from a "recipe", that she purchased them from a photo, and she wanted what she paid for. The matter was finally resolved when my mother contacted the service she ordered them through. They ordered the flowers returned to the florist and sent a new arrangement from another florist. The vendor that the flowers were ordered through had no knowledge of the florist not replacing the arrangement, as the replacement was authorized on 12/16 and should have been delivered by the florist on 12/17.

So they sent her a different flower arrangement that only cost about 5 dollars without any roses, weed type flowers. They should have delivered a new exact arrangement that I paid for. Poor customer service and quality. Will not use them again.
Description of Work: They delivered the flowers down the street to my sisters home and 4 out of the 4 roses were already dead. Unacceptable!

I had used them once before and was happy with the result. Called, placed the order. It arrived on time and was lovely. The roses were of excellent stock; the blooms lasted a full week.
Description of Work: They delivered an arrangement of 31 red and 2 yellow long-stemmed roses to my wife for our anniversary.

It went great. I have no complaints. The staff at Fall Church Florist are very helpful in helping pick out what you need.
Description of Work: I called Falls Church Florist to deliver flowers in Arlington to a co-worker whose mother had just died. They took care of the order with just a generalized description from me of what I wanted. The flowers arrived that day and my co-worker really enjoyed them. I had used this company before to arrange for out-of-town delivery and I have never been disappointed. I will use them again.

My mom called and placed an order. She reviewed the needed arrival time range based on my schedule (which was honored). If I could have posted photos I would have as I have documented the initial beauty from the first day, to the 8th day, then the 11th.
Description of Work: A floral arrangement was ordered by my mother and delivered to me. She ordered by phone after online review of arrangements. The flowers were delivered within the requested time frame and in beautiful condition. The arrangement arrived on 4/2/12 and looked amazing throughout the week. I added more water on 4/6/12, left town not to return until 4/10/12. I expected to return to a dying to nearly dead arrangement. Much to my surprise the flowers were still thriving; not a petal had fallen off. I added more water and kept the arrangement in my office. As of the writing of this review the arrangement is still in my office. On the 9th to 10th day the colors began looking less vibrant (which is expected) but there are no falling petals. I am quite impressed with the staying power of the arrangement. I would absolutely use this florist. I have colleagues who have expressed amazement that it is the same arrangement that was delivered well over a week ago!

Terrible. The people in the shop are surly and unprofessional. My roses were brown and drooping within 24 hours. I called to report the condition and while they replaced the roses, they told me that they weren't guaranteed and you get what you pay for. I tried to speak with the owner to express my concerns that on two occasions we had bad experiences with his flowers. He wouldn't look me in the eye and had no interest in a conversation. I told him he had lost a customer and he shrugged his shoulders and said OK. We like to support local businesses but this is one I would not recommend. They don't care about their product or their customer's satisfaction.
Description of Work: On two occasions we purchased flowers from this shop. One was a delivery/gift and one we purchased in the store. Both times the flowers were dismal. The staff was not interested in our call or visit to try and rectify the situation.
