The individual who currently is assigned our house is punctual, professional, and down to earth. He doesn't just show up and move along; he talks through what he sees both inside and outside the house, and also brings up possible solutions. I genuinely feel like we are being provided reliable service, and never have to worry about being upsold additional services.

They come once a month and I think we pay $100 a quarter. 

We haven't had termites. When we first moved here there were signs of a possibility of carpenter ants and so we had them come and they came all the time until I realized it was a waste of my money we didn't have any. I let them do the termite inspection because we live in a forest.  After I pay for it they call me to schedule when I want the man to come out.

1st appointment agent missed. Second appointment on time. Annual check-up as I bought a long term plan years ago. I would not recommend doing that again.

I have to break the rating into two parts. The responsibility of the guys that worked for them, I would give them an A. They mixed up our billing last year. They kept sending us bills for our rental property that we were in arrears and that we had not made our payment. It took months for me to get that straightened out. It appeared that the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing because they had a change in their regional manager in their Fairfax office and it took him a while to get the billing straightened out. I do not know if that was him or if that was the mess he was left with, but I kept getting notices that we owe the money and we had not made our payment. For billing, I would give them a D. It was finally straightened out, but it was very frustrating.

I am very pleased with this company and I have been using them for almost five years. All of the staff is very helpful and professional.

Service-wise, the Fairfax branch of this national pest control service Orkin is quite good.  Their scheduling is efficient.  I used this service for two or perhaps three years.  This company's billing practices, however, are deceptive if not downright fraudulent.
At  the end of a year's worth of pre-paid services in 2013 I received a bill from Orkin -- it was less than $75, I recall.  The accountant's explanation was that one or more of the components (which I had already paid for) had gone up in price during the year, so they had to be billed for.  The company wrote that off because I protested that if you pay a set price for a service in advance then you should expect to get that service with no secretly accruing extra charges.
Silly me to think my objections were taken note of.  Yes, I went ahead and paid in advance for another year's service.  At the end of that year I received two invoices.  One invoice was for another year of service in advance ($559.68) less a "convenience saving" of $22.39.  The second invoice was for a single month's service ($93.28) less a "Balance forward" of $51.39.
The accountant couldn't explain where the "balance forward" had come from, or why it hadn't (and couldn't) be applied instead to the annual invoice.
The amount was too big to be a discount, and it was only being applied to the single month's invoice.  So if wasn't a discount and it couldn't be applied to the annual invoice, the "balance forward" must be an overpayment.  So could she please cut me a check for $51.39.  You can imagine how that suggestion went over.
I won't use a service that uses such murky customer-hostile billing practices and shrugs off complaints.  The two times I've complained I've been told many other customers are also upset by the billing practices.
I am sending an account of my dealings with this company to the Federal Trade Commission.

They are fine and my wife likes them. We do not have ants anymore. We are on a continuous service with them. We have a monthly service.

We live in a wooded area and they are very responsive

Their service is good and it seems to be working fine. However, they are getting more expensive.

They visit every other months for pest control.

I have been using them for 35 years. They are very professional. I had a problem with bugs at my house, and they came out to my house with no extra charge. They are a very good company, and I would recommend them.

They come every other month. They spray inside and out. They were recommended to us by our neighbors. I think they are very professional, and we have had the same gentleman come out every time. We have used them for several years.

They are very efficient and do a great job.

They are nice, efficient and what they did works.

They come and do the work, and if I have an issue, they come again. I haven't had any issues with them. I would use them again in the future.

I absolutely swear by them. They are great. We have used them for many years. I wrote a letter of recommendation for the technician that had serviced our home. He was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. He showed me areas where I could reduce the possibility of pest invasion. The technician stopped by when he saw we were moving, just to say goodbye. I plan to start a new contract with them for our new home. I like the billing cycle that they use. We paid for the service yearly. We also got a discount if we paid early.

They charged a fair price, and I really like the technician that they send to my home.

They get the job done. They are friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I called Orkin this morning and spoke to someone that told me that a service professional would be out here between 4 and 6 today.  I rearranged my schedule, including all my meetings, so that I could be home by 4:00.  During my meetings, I received two voicemails: one from "Mike" asking me to return his call, and the other (after) from "Wayne" confirming my time.  I did not have a chance to call Mike back until I was home, and he told me that Wayne was from Atlanta, that he was from my local office, and that no one would be showing up today.  I explained that I had taken time off to come home and that I was very busy.  Mike could have cared less, told me that somehow I was supposed to magically know that Wayne was from Atlanta, not Gaithersburg, and that there was nothing he could do.  He offered no concessions on my service call as a result of inconveniencing me, and delivered the worst customer service I have ever seen -- particularly for a company's huge screw up.  They are a complete and total Fail.

Overall I gave it a "D".  It would have been an "F" but Tom, who I called about my ant problem was very friendly and knew his bugs...told me never to squash stink bugs because that attracts more bugs and to flush them down toilet or let back outside.  Also knew what to do about my ants and went to work right away to rid me of them.  Later explained what he had done and what I should expect.  I was happy with him.  (I gave him a "C" because of later neglect.)  After he left my ant problem seemed to be solved....I stopped seeing ants after a few weeks.  But when ants reappeared in large numbers (same place as before) that's when my problems started with company.  After numerous phone calls from Monday to today (Thursday) I never received a return call (no messages on my answering service when I had to step out.)  Just NO RESPONSE!  I finally went to hardware store and bought my own ant killer.  Today I called main office number (In Virginia) and cancelled my service.
