Very impressive. Not only did he respond quickly but he fell the tree very precisely putting it down between two other trees we wanted to remain. He does exactly what he says he will for the price he quotes. This is the second time Ben has done a job for us. We will definitely use him again.

Provided evaluation and estimate for taking the tree down, removing the wood or stacking the wood. I talked to Ben on the phone and discussed the options, made a decision and a couple of days later the tree was down, wood stacked and stump was gone. Does what he says he'll do. Very satisfied.

Great company. They were half the price of another quote. Showed up on time to give the estimate, and called the next day to tell me they could stop by that day to take care of the job. Cleaned up the site well.

Did a great job.  Had to avoid a propane tank and fencing around it with one of the limbs.  He took them off in a way that they did not come crashing to the ground.  He was very thorough in cleaning up.  I could not have been more pleased.

I like that he did a very good job.  He cleaned up when he was done.  His price was way under what his competitors were.  He left almost no stump at all. 

This was a big job, requiring Ben + 5 other workers with three trucks, a chipper, bucket hoist and a lift for large sections of wood.  Crew arrived promptly at 7 a.m. and worked non-stop until after 11.  As with the several other times I've used Ben Smelser, the approach was very professional and exceedingly careful with other garden items and plants in the vicinity of the work.  Cleanup was excellent, as always.  Highly recommended for his responsiveness, advice, fair pricing and the quality of his work . 

I called and spoke with Andrew.  He came out that day and provided me an estimate of $250 for all the work.  And he came back and did the work the same day.  Very thorough job.  He told me to call if I found any other roots that he may have missed and he would personally come back and remove them.  
Andrew did a great job!  I only found one small root, and took care of it myself with an axe...just couldn't see calling him back for that.  Although I am sure he would have come had I called.

Excellent work and cleanup. Minimized ruts by coming in the morning after an overnight freeze. Brought two helpers to speed the work. This is second time I used Smelser. First time was equally excellent for a larger job.

Ben and crew arrived at about 6:30 am (working early to avoid the heat), took down both trees and voluntarily trimmed some other dead/dying limbs in other trees within easy reach of the bucket.  They chipped all the leaves and brush, cut the good wood to firelog lengths as agreed, and cleaned up the area before leaving.  Ben also honored the Angie's list discount coupon.  Smelser's Tree Service is by far the most professional and safety conscious team of the four companies who have done work for me.

Estimate and execution were very professional -- Ben took time to explain trees' condition, options and recommendations.  Work was performed diligently and well with good clean-up.

Smelser was reliable and professional.  Will use again.
