Lions Fence

This guy never showed up.  The owner, Richard, gave me an estimate and we arranged a day to have the fence replaced.  I took a day off of work and he didn't show up.  I always give people the benefit of the doubt, so I called and left a message assuming I had the wrong day.  He never responded.  Over the next few days, I emailed and left about 3 messages - all very polite, he still hasn't responded.  I've waited 3 weeks to post this in hopes that he would contact me.  If he had an accident or something tragic happened to him, I'm sorry, otherwise he is a lousy businessman and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

Richard was very easy to work with, He gave us a very competitive quote and was able to meet our deadline. Crew worked fast and we ended up with a quality fence. Followed our specific requirements very well. Would use again.

Richard and crew were wonderful. They installed our fenced, fixed a gate, cleaned up, and followed up next day on job completed. The estimate was lower than others so while we were a tad worried, positive reviews from Angie's and Yelp, plus Richard's ideas and patience with questions we had made this company an easy choice. They even installed the fence 4 days earlier than planned. I hope friends and family will use Lions Fence. We'll recommend them to everyone without hesitation. Start to finish, this was the best contracting job we've ever had.

Fairly well.  Disappointed in the quality of some of the wood used for the posts and slats--wood splits--even the posts have deep slits.  Crew essentially "eyeballed" the installation rather than actually measuring and marking.  Looks beautiful to "untrained" eye. Rear gate was wider than original thus arbor could not be installed; the company was supposed to come out and redo gate at a later date but never did. Encountered new problem today (7 months later):  Electric power company had to dig out underneath one of the posts today to repair power line that had been damaged by Lion's installation of post/pouring concrete directly on top of power lines--even though yard had been clearly marked by Miss Utility prior to work being done.  Have contacted company today to have them come out and reposition post and redo section of fence and gate.  Will update with response.

Extremely well! I don't often rate any business as all "A," but Richard and Lions Fence and his crew earned it! We called him on the 12th and the fence was installed 6 days later. It meets our needs perfectly, he made excellent recommendations, and it looks great. 
I guess the best way to express my confidence in Lion's Fence would be to say that  I would recommend them to my boss (I really like my job and want to keep it!).

The contractor stayed in touch through email and was flexible with the installation date due to the inclement weather this past month.  The crew was on time as scheduled, finished in less than a day, left nothing for me to clean up, and there was no damage to my lawn or my neighbors'.

We had a very positive experience working with Richard.  After reaching out to Lions Fence to get a quote on a new split-rail fence installation, Richard came within a couple of days to take measurements, discuss options (our yard is irregular-shaped), and provide a quote.  His quote was competitive and he understood what we were trying to accomplish, so we scheduled the installation for about a week later.  We were delayed for a week by a snow storm, but Richard's team came out and completed the installation as discussed, and the fence looks great.  The experience was altogether very positive and I would definitely recommend Richard and Lions Fence.

Rich and his team did an excellent job!  Not only did they have very reasonable price, but they built everything on site (no pre-built pieces).  This was really nice since my yard has some slopes in it.  Rich was very personable and easy to work with and made sure everything was done to my satisfaction.  I have already received several compliments on our fence.  Thanks Rich!  I will definitely recommend Lions Fence to my friends and family.

I contacted Lions Fence to obtain an estimate for a cedar fence for a home I was in the process of buying.  i dealt with Richard.  I was very impressed with his professionalism and responsiveness.  He was able to meet me at the home to discuss my needs and give me an estimate within a few days.  We communicated a few times.  I ended up selecting a different company because of a slightly lower price, but would not hesitate to contact Lions Fence in the future if I needed work done.

They responded the day after I left a note on their web site, were on time for the estimate, and were second-lowest out of four. They also proposed to use three horizontal stringers on each panel instead of the two offered by the two highest bidders, one of whom proposed a price $1200 above Lion.  I had a very good feeling about Lion and actually felt a little guilty about not calling them back to see if they'd meet or beat the lowest bidder's price.  I think they would have been a good choice.

Everything turned out great, I was pleased with their services, they were fast, and the quality was good.

Our neighbors used Lions fence, so we already knew what to expect from a quality perspective...Richard came out quickly and was very courteous. Was the quickest to schedule and most affordable of the three estimates that we got. Completed the work in one day, came back the next day with some missing caps. very satisfied.

Richard was here the day after I called Lions, to assess our needs and give us a $ quote.  Installation was delayed until Richard was satisfied that cedar supplier had the best  possible quality cedar to work with.  Richard and his crew were here within 2 weeks to do the install.  Work was completed within about 7 hours.  (Richard was onsite the entire time, which was quite a relief as at least 1 post needed to be installed very close to gas line feeding the generator!)  Richard also updated 2 gates to fencing he installed for us in 2008 (200+ feet of clear cedar privacy fencing around back of property.)  This job went so smoothly!  We would not hesitate to use Lions fence again, so long as Richard is at the helm!  The work is beautiful and stands the test of time.

Richard and his team do excellent work--and at a price that left us wondering how the other quotes we received could possibly be so much higher.  In the end, the quality and workmanship was top notch.  We had one small issue with a non-working latch, and Richard himself eventually came out and fixed the latch and apologized for the issue.  He is pleasant fellow that does reliable and reasonably priced work.  Highly recommend him for your fencing needs
Many of our neighbors have come by to ask about the fence and who installed it.  This project provided a much needed "refreshing" to our back yard.

I called requesting an estimate and Richard was able to come out that same week on a day when I was at home.  I explained what I wanted and he made up an estimate for myself as well as for my neighbor who was also interested in having the fence replaced.

He was very pleasant and knowledgeable, answering all my questions as we went along.  He  explained how the posts would be set and why treated pine would be better to use than cedar in my situation.  He recommended using 6x6 posts for the gate as opposed to the 4x4 posts that were there, for added stability.  We clarified how much space his team would need along the fenceline to do the work and I cleared everything out of the way as best I could.  I did have a few plants I could not move.



Richard and two employees showed up at the agreed upon time.  Richard went over things with his team and the men set to work.  They worked throughout the day.  I had pointed out the few plants that I was concerned about and none of them were damaged, which I really appreciated.

I had requested a minor modification to the gate, and they also asked about the positioning of the latch on the gate before placing it.  All modifications were completed as requested.



Richard came by once or twice to check on progress and ensure that all was going well.



They were finished with the entire fence by mid afternoon and everything looked great.  They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves although they did leave one tool behind in the neighbor's yard that still needs to be picked up.



Richard called that evening and apologized that he had not been able to come by to check on the finished fence due to other obligations but wanted to touch base and make sure that everything was done to my satisfaction.  I let him know that I was very pleased with the work.



I have received several compliments on the fence and am very happy with the finished result.



All involved were professional, pleasant, skilled and courteous.  I would not hesitate to use Lions Fence again and would recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Richard of Lions Fence came out to the townhouse and gave me a fair estimate, and date of when Lions Fence could perform the work.  On the date agreed upon, Lions Fence was prompt, and professional.  The job they performed was excellent.

Richard never left an estimate, never called, and never communicated after the initial call where I had contacted him.  Needless to say, I was forced to look elsewhere for the fence.

We found Lions Fence because we saw a very nice looking fence in the
neighbor's yard that they had done. We had a very clear idea of what we
wanted--a horizontal board fence--which is not very common in this area.
We had a very difficult time finding a contractors who was willing or able to

Lion's Fence built our neighbor's fence, last year.  We liked the job that they did for our neighbors and decided to go with Lion's as well.  The fence looks great and although we have only had the fence for a few days, our family and dog have utilized the backyard together.  Prior to the fence, our dog was up on the deck and couldn't be with us, lower in the yard.
Lion's Fence was able to provide a double-wide gate so that I may take the lawn mower from the backyard to the front.  

Lion fence was recommended to me and I was impressed with their reviews. Initial experieince was great. They came out took measurements. All fine.  Then I never heard from them again. I called at least 5 times over a period of 2 months. I even emailed. No response. I can only guess that maybe our job was too small for them? I have no idea, but would have appreciated the courtesy of a phone call or an email.

Since moving here, I have had so much trouble with not only getting companies to call us back, but actually showing up to perform services.  All we are looking for is a company that is honest, prompt, and direct.  Lion's Fence is all of these things.  I called and he was out to give us an estimate within the week.  We had some treework to have completed (which they ironically didn't show up, but that's for another review!) so we requested that they put off our service for a few weeks.  No problem, he said!  They were literally there the day after we had the treework scheduled.  It worked out perfectly.  They arrived promptly in the morning and worked very hard throughout the day.   The crew was friendly, professional, and didn't cut corners.  I was very concerned about clean-up as a friend of ours found nails in her yard for weeks but they removed all debris that I can see!  Finally, I feel like we've found a company that operates on repeat business and referrals... and they'll get that from us.
