Worked with our limited schedule to set up a visit for the estimate.  Stayed in touch on the day of the visit when earlier job conflicted with ours.  Quick turn around on the written estimate.  Explained options professionally, and in good detail.

 Technician was not sure how to remove stem and base from smaller TV; we had to research online for directions,which added  to installation time. 

  I purchased a discounted coupon for an hour of installation for $50.00. What a bargain!! I only had to add $20 more to it.  There were two technicians scheduled to come; but one was delayed due to traffic.  So one person did the job in little over an hour. I am curious to know how much time it would have taken two technicians.

The team was FANTASTIC! Arrived promptly to install 56" tv over fireplace to include hiding cables.  After the job was complete they also cleaned up the area.  Both team members was extreamly enjoyable and pleasant.  Job well done.

John is a fantastic partner and the kind of vendor that you can only hope to work with. Our installation had some nuances, and John worked with us through a progression of solutions from least invasive (wireless)  to more invasive (e.g. including drilling, etc.) until we got the result we both wanted. His commitment to getting the right solution was impressive. From a cost perspective, there were no hidden costs for us. The best summary for Johns' approach was - "He contracted to make it work, not for a specific set of services where we would assume the cost if more was needed to make it work." Great service - great responsiveness. If you are looking to get some AV work, do yourself a favor, save yourself some hassle, and just hire John.

The team called ahead to let me know when they were going to show up. They arrived on time and started working immediately. I was advised on the best and most affordable installation method. The team of two men were very pleasant and helpful. They saved me money and while I was not quite sure what I wanted, they were patient and allowed me to ask questions. They took my suggestions into consideration and ended up giving me exactly what I wanted. Two flat screens TVs were installed and the outcome was much better that I expected. The wires were hidden without the expensive cost of going into the walls.

I am extremely satisfied and highly recommend their services to anyone that wants a TV neatly and professionally installed. It made both rooms look larger.

Spartan arrived promptly and installed a 42" television.  This included hiding the power and video cables.  Afterwards, the technician cleaned up and tested the setup.  I am very pleased with the outcome and the cost.  Two thumbs up.

Spartan did a fabulous job mounting our 50" flat screen on the wall in our new house. Wires are hidden, the television mount is solid and we are very happy to have the television out of the crate and on the wall.
The crew was prompt and professional, and cleaned up after themselves. We are very pleased with the service and would use them again, should the need arise.

John came and evaluated my system as I asked. He ended up repositioning one of my speakers and then rechecked the signals coming from each one. I asked about what I could do about future upgrades and he gave some suggestions. Without a hard sell from him, I ended up purchasing a new new center speaker. (Which has made a big difference.)  He came back a couple days later to install it after it had come in. We popped in a DVD to check out the quality. John was easy to talk to and work with. He is very passionate about providing quality sound.

They stated they would arrive between 9 and 12 so, I took off from work in the morning. They kept calling and telling me they were delayed an hour, then another 2 hours, then another 2 hours.when they finally showed at 4p.m. They seemed in a rush, tired and ready to go home. They then stated they would not be able to perform the work I desired due to the tv mount I had. I decided to get a tv stand instead, other than that, they were pretty nice.

Arrived within set 2 hour window.  Confirmed placement, etc.  Reviewed basic "set up" for tv. Cleaned work area when job was finished.

John and Scot his helper arrived on time as scheduled.  They immediately began opening the equipment boxes for installation.  John set up his computer to program the Pro Control.  When I saw the tower boxes I thought they were big.  Scot  installed the two tower speakers at the wall outlets. Prior to installing the Episode speaker at the theater speaker outlet under the TV  Scot and John removed  the under TV bar speaker.  Scot installed the Episode speaker and went into the hall closet to install the AV receiver and Blu-ray.  John and I discussed the size of the speakers.  He said we had discussed the dimensions and I was O.K. with them.  Reality was setting in.  We had two monoliths (as my wife called them)  on both sides of the fireplace and a big black box (14in x14in x15in} against the side wall.  A discussion ensued.  We decided we wanted the system removed.  John said there would be a re-stocking fee and recommended that we wait to see how we liked the system,  Scot started to remove a tower and John told him to stop.  We did not go over system operation in much detail.  John and Scot packed up and left.
After they left I tried operating the TV and found that mute didn't work.  I called John and his secretary answered after many rings.  I explained the situation and she texted John.  He  returned and programmed mute into the Pro Control.  Later, John sent an email recommending wall mount speakers as a fix for the towers and a smaller sub-woofer.  He was informed we wanted the theater system removed and the TV restored.
I went online  to Episode, Polk Audio and to Yamaha to register the speakers and AV receiver.  On Yamaha I discovered the unit price quoted for the 373T was the MSRP but that it was discontinued and the 375  provided was $50.00 cheaper than the unit price paid.    On Polk Audio the TSI300 was listed as $50.00 cheaper than the unit price paid.  Both Polk Audio and Yamaha have free shipping and did not indicate a re-stocking fee for returns. Episode would reveal pricing only to dealers.
When John sent the quote to uninstall the system  he quoted 15% re-stocking fee $154.00  and $250.00 for 2 hours custom labor.  We questioned the re-stocking fee  believing that Polk, Yamaha and Episode did not charge a re-stocling fee.
As a final comment, John revealed later that the Polk towers installed were not the TSI300 quoted but were actually a  more expensiveTsx330T.  He is correct.
Spartan Pro-tech has excellent reviews on Angies list and I wll call them for service required for the equipment they installed. However, for new work I would compare their quote with other service providers and equipment vendors.

When I called Spartan to schedule my service and redeem voucher they very professional - responsive and attentive to my request.  In fact, they squeezed me within 48 hrs of calling.  The men arrived a few minutes - outstanding!  They completely assessed my service request and thoroughly informed me of the process and options to achieve the best quality.  Additionally, they provided some professional advice for setup configuration.  I only requested the installation of wires, holes to ensure they were in the right spot and for minimal damage.  BOTH were achieved within the 2-hrs I purchased.  They were clean with and respectful to my desire for minimal holes for wires, etc - they achieved with perfection!!  I NOW truly enjoy my movie/MAN-FLOOR entertainment system.  I would highly and have recommended Spartan to friends and family.

John (the owner) and Scott arrived right on schedule. They
went to work before I could blink an eye. One hour later all systems were
rewired and hooked up. So we checked out each system, made some adjustments,
and the guys were very patient with this 81 year-old dummy. Not only are they
professional, they are good guys!

I spoke with the owner prior to purchasing this Angie's List Big Deal as I am located  less than 5 miles outside the service area. He assured me he would honor the deal. I purchased the deal and when it was time to set up the appointment, he was attempting to add a $75 extra service charge due to my location. We disagreed and I told him I would request a refund from Angie's List. He attempted to call back and "bargain" the service charge. I told him, no thank you and I did not feel confident dealing with his company. Waste of my time. I am have no idea about the actual quality of their work. I did hire another company that did an excellent job.

We had purchased a big deal for the service. He came over and gave me a quote, but I didn't use them, as they were too expensive. He was fine and I told him what I was looking for, and he then gave me an estimate. It just wasn't worth that much though.

Had a preliminary site visit in which options and different costs for parts and labor were discussed as well as possible costs for labor exceeding two hours. Agreed on installation specifics as cost and setup installation. Installers showed up on time and did an excellent job exceeding what we originally had in mind for the installation. Once installed, set up remote control and tested the system. Very happy with the results.

I supplied the mount and installation kit ,they were in and out with in 1 hour and did a excellent job ! I would definitely use the again in the future.

The installers were friendly and professional and every thing went well.  I did notice that the installers forgot to vacuum up the dust debris left from the installation of the wall mounted TV. 







 UP DATE: In less than 24 hours of posting my review I received a call from the company  to inquire about any concerns that I may have had. After a brief conservation, the owner of the company came by to personally handle and  address those concerns. Not only was I pleased with the outcome ,I plan to call on his services again in the near future.  

He arrived as promised with his helper.  The two of them went to work immediately and made sure I was satisfied with how things looked after the install.  If I had not purchased the Angie's List Big Deal, my total cost (with the equipment required, i.e., bracket, cables, & the wood insert to convert the fireplace) would have been more than the cost of the TV itself! Thank God for Angie's List.
I do hope my next home has had this kind of conversion already in place.

Great!  The owner was very involved in the project and explained everything to me ahead of time.  The installation crew showed up on time.  They set everything up, including the all in one remote control.  We then spent some time testing the system so that it sounded perfect.  They walked through everything and offered to come back a second time if anything needed adjusted.  I would certainly use them again.
