Very professional all around from the owner (Jeremy), John (site foreman) and the whole 7 person crew. Showed up on time and had all of the supplies needed to do the whole job in just one day. Clean up was impeccable. The price was competitive especially for the first rate products used. I have no reservations at all recommending J.Montes roofing.

Overall, the entire process went smoothly and quickly. Galel arrived on time to quote the job and provided us with pertinent information so that we could make our decision. We were able to get on the schedule right away and within 1 week of quoting, our roof was replaced. They completed the entire job in one day, including having the dumpster picked up the same evening. All of the debris was removed and the walkways/deck/driveway were completely clean when they left. John coordinated everything the day of execution, and was helpful in answering questions. Plus, their price was very competitive!

I wish I could give J. Montes Roofing 100 stars!!! Their quote was excellent. From start to finish I was so pleased with how the job was handled. I dealt with Heather, the office Manager to John the project manager and the wonderful roofers who gave us a beautiful new roof. It was so refreshing to deal with a company that WILL return a phone call, answer questions, and keep me notified every step of the way. I was treated like a valued customer with much respect from all who work here. The roofing crew worked like a "fine oiled machine" from start to finish. The roofers started on a Friday when the weather was beautiful and 70 degrees. Of course, only in Tidewater, the next day would be 38 degrees and raining, but, lo and behold, they were back to finish the job. They are all very pleasant folks to work with!! I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing a new roof, you will not be disappointed.

I just loved doing business with J. Montes Co. Mr. Montes was very professional when he came to give me an estimate. He went on my roof, took pictures, told me the problem areas, and what I might expect. He then showed me the products that were available and he did not pressure me. They did an exemplary job. They refused to consider us as a client. We have had a rental home that is now empty and we are selling. Without any explanation of why they said we don’t work on rental homes and we aren’t the company for you. Not sure how an unoccupied home that is for sale equates but I found it poor customer service and policy.

I only interviewed firms that used high-quality roof systems and that had received excellent reviews. I met with Jon Montes at my house and he thoroughly explained the materials they would be using and how the job would be carried out. Since he was familiar with homes in my neighborhood, he was able to print a quote and leave it with me that day. He was responsive when I called with a few questions. Then I was put in touch with Heather, who scheduled the job and provided regular communications throughout as the day of the job approached. A couple of days before the job I was contacted by John, the project manager. John explained the way things would go to complete the job. The morning of the job, John was on site with the materials the crew would need to start. The crew then showed up and got to work. They worked well together — it was obvious they had done a lot of jobs together. They worked until 9 pm the came back the next morning and completed the job by 11 am. A roof replacement results in a lot of stuff (old shingles and underpayment, and hundreds of nails) falling in the yard and flowerbeds. When the crew completed the cleanup, however, you couldn’t tell they had been there — except for the beautiful, new roof! I am happy to provide this review because J Montes, Inc delivered the product they promised at a price that beat the other firms I interviewed. In one week, I have already recommended them to two people that saw their sign in my yard and asked me about them. If you need roof work, you won’t go wrong with J Montes.

EXTREMELY GOOD customer service in all aspects from initial contact for quote to finish of job. Very responsive and friendly. Went out of way to bring out actual samples. 20 year old roof was done in two days and looks excellent! Cleanup was equally as impressive - no signs such a job had even been done. No trash, no damage to landscape, etc. Would highly recommend J Montes to anyone.

J Montes came out a couple of times to review the job. Got two estimates, one to fix a specific problem leak, the other to recover the entire roof. Went with the first option but when the job was started extensive damage was uncovered. Had the roof completely redone in a day. No leaks, meticulous cleanup, very polite and professional.

Very pleased. The team (three or four men) rolled a (medium sized [newer]) trailer up into my driveway the day before the work was to began. At 7:30 Am on the following day the team arrived and set about preparing for the day. After covering my deck and shrubbery with a tarp they removed the old roof dropping the debree almost directly into the trailer. A member of the team on the ground cleaned up after the men on the roof as needed. The new shingles arrived on day one and the men went to work immediately. That whole process took two days. At times I'd watch the process and was pleased to note that the workmen complied with details as noted in our contract. Ex; shingles were to hang out over roofs edge by 1 3/8 " ..and very soon I felt that I did not need to follow behind these folks as they had already done what was expected of them. The owner met with me prior to this project starting and provided a booklet of detailed information on the roofing products to be used from start to finish. All members of the team were courteous. Note: I have a Cape Cod with a steep roof.

All around excellent service and product. The contract was well documented with all the details and options available. Heather in Customer Service was very friendly and helpful answering all questions and keeping me up to date on the schedule. The job started within 3 weeks after signing the contract. Workers showed up at the crack of dawn and completed most of the job that day. They finished the rest early next morning, and did a thorough cleanup. Our roof looks great, and I highly recommend J Montes to anybody who needs a new roof.

This was one of the best companies that I have ever done business with. Everything about them was professional, from the estimate to the final clean up of our property. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Mr. Montes performed the initial estimate, and had great information about the specific product application he recommended. His scheduling team booked an initial work date, but also put me on a waiting list for an earlier appointment if there was a cancellation or delay. We were bumped up to just over a week after signing the estimate. The team prepositioned their equipment the night before and arrived right on time. In the morning, the install team again arrived right on time. They worked quickly, were very tidy and organized, and did very clean work. The roof has performed extremely well through multiple rain storms in the 6+ months since.

J Montes did a great job replacing my entire roof in one day. The gutters were done by a subcontractor who came out a week or two later. The soffit and fascia was done by another subcontractor. That subcontractor took his time getting the soffit and fascia done. It was at least a month after the roof was done before the soffit and fascia was done. He did; however, do a great job.
