I would not recommend Hampton Roads Pest Control.  I just fired them.  Their technicians are not very thorough.  They missed termites in my house and I had to have a bunch of damaged repaired.  I was in a contract with them where they came out twice a year.  I felt I was paying money and they were collecting it, but I was not getting the service.  The technician was always courteous and on time.

They are going to come out and replace some thermostatic re-controlled fans that are going to go on our vents.  It took 2-3 people in excess of 3 days to do it.  There was a lot of work and they did a good job.  I used to be a real estate agent and I used them earlier and they have never treated me badly and that was back in the 90’s.  We used them ever since we moved into the house. They are very competent and they don’t try to over sell something to me.  They don’t try to scare me. They are not the cheapest in town.

We have a contract with them for years. We just always use them. I guess they do a good job.

He is very reasonable. I have been very satisfied. The overall experience is good. I have him come every year for an inspection, and I will continue to do so.

We are very satisfied with them.  We have an annual inspection and we have used them for termites and several other things.  We have used them for pest control on quarterly basis.  We are not doing it right now because we don’t think we need it right at this point.  They come on schedule and they are prompt.  They seem to accomplish what you want accomplished, the lot of bugs are away.  They are excellent.

He comes out as needed and is very good about response time if it's a problem that needs immediate attention. He does a very good job, and takes care of pests other than termites as needed. Our yearly contract with the company costs $95.00

I am very much aware of them from being in the area and they are very professional. I wanted to use someone who is established. In terms of price, it is a full-blown treatment, all said and done touched the nearest. I would continue to use them for my pest control needs.

Its $95 per visit, and they come out 4 times a year, I don't know what the competition costs, but its been the same for the past several years, and they are always on time.

They did an inspection for my home with a VA loan.  With that it is required to have a separate inspection on top of the home inspection specific to pests and termites.  They were the company that did that prior to closing of the house.  I don’t know if they do all over the US, I know it is specific to the VA loan.  Both my wife and I have moved there and we have access to VA loan and we use that.  There is just one more thing to the VA loan; it helps the tax service members.  It is just a criteria before the VA allows mine to be used.  I don’t know about the nationwide thing, I would imagine they would use a VA loan.  I did not spend anything, as it was a part of the deal covered by the seller of the house, so I am not sure what they charged for the service.  They were on time when they were supposed to be here to do it.   He was quick and efficient and he had a very detail report of any problems that existed.  And a quote was also provided to the seller, for what the issues were and how to fix them and how much it would cost.  That all was taken care very quickly before I closed; I think they came to the house to do the inspection like just two weeks before closing.  And everything that they had done and fixed was completed before closing.  It was one of things that didn’t get hung up. It eventually helped me at the end of the bargain, and I was pleased with their service.   My overall experience was very good.

The service was $138 for the entire year. They were on time and everything was great. We plan to continue using them.

Feel the company overinflated the work that needed done (to make more money)

First inspection - Hadn't performed the work to be done (install floor joist, replace sills, removce debris).  Carved a rut in the yard from hauling sand in a wheel barrow, had to be prompted to fill in.

Second inspection - Hadn't properly installed sister joist (were not fastened to sister joist or were not fastened at all).

Third inspection - Minimal acceptable.

INSPECT INSPECT INSPECT!!!!

Someone recommended them to us so we called them.  The first service was a termite treatment and we were pleased with the work.  They had to drill holes everywhere which we weren’t pleased about, but we didn’t have any complaints.

We had a flea infestation and had to get the house sprayed.  They sprayed the house and seeded the yard so that we wouldn't keep tracking in fleas from our yard.  When the fleas were still present three weeks later, they came back and did a second spray at no extra charge.  I would use this company again.

They were extremely professional. They were clean, quick, and did a great job. Danny Cartwright was the project manager. He was outstanding and even made a follow up visit. The whole area was immaculate they really did a good job.

They were able to treat our house within a couple of days of calling for an appointment.  Although the tech ran late for the actual appointment, he did call us to let us know he was behind schedule which I very much appreciated.  Entire experience from the sales person to the actual service was professional, and we will definitely consider their services in the future.

wood was repaired under the home from termite damage. Roach control for the rest of the house. Workers are very friendly and well trained.

At my most recent dealing with Hampton Roads Termite & Pest Control, again they were there to ensure that the home I was considering to purchase did not have pest or moisture problems. They did find some wood rot at the door leading out to the deck from the kitchen and they ensured that it was taken care of prior to closing. They also provided to me foundation vents for the air flow that is necessary--again all done professionally.

They are really fantastic and I will continue to use them. Everything has been working fine and their work has been effective. They are pretty timely and efficient so I like them. I haven't compared their prices with the other companies so I think their price is okay. I usually use them for one time job periodically but they might have some discounts as well for the contracts.

The installer left large areas bare of new insulation. We had to call him back to complete the insulation. Also, in the process of installing the insulation, he broke off part of my HVAC duct work. They did not repair the duct work. My HVAC company fixed the duct work at my expense. My existing 6 mo old vapor barrier was removed by mistake by installer, but was replaced after I called the supervisor. In installing my new crawl space door, surrounding brickwork was broken. They did not repair the brickwork. After the brickwork was damaged, I paid them off and cancelled the rest of the job that I had asked them to do. I'll never call them again.

The workers are extremely professional and polite. They have clean overalls. They report what's going on under the house. He takes time to explain things to me. I feel the price is reasonable.

All went well.

When they came out to inspect, they were able to explain how the inspection was going to be done and then they gave me accurate reports. I think they offer a really good service. I would recommend them to others.
