He was able to do the work over a 3-4 day period in my home while I was at work during the day. He was very professional, clean, and fair in his pricing. He was very detailed in his explanations of additional things he discovered (chewed-through wiring, nightmare junction boxes, ect.) I would recommend him to anyone looking for a competent electrician, who will fairly price his work, and do a very neat, professional job. He did an excellent job fixing all the problems I had identified for work. He installed lighting the correct way in my garage, corrected a shorted circuit, added circuits, replaced or added junction boxes. He was under the house, over the house, and inside the walls. The end result is night and day to some terrible electrical done to the house before I purchased it. I will definitely be using DEL in the future to improve some other amateur wiring that is unfortunately spread throughout every part of my home.
I usually don't spend this much time on reviews, but I felt this individual certainly deserved the accolades!

The owner, Doug, was quick to respond, thorough with his quote (including options) and confident in his ability to get the job done. He even encouraged me to get other quotes if I had not already done so.
After selecting Doug, we set a begin date and a completion date. Doug delivered everything he said he would plus!! Although, I had settled on a particular option, after beginning the work Doug realized that a more expensive option would be better for my business yet he charged me the lower rate even though it entailed a considerable amount of extra work.
He still got the job done on schedule and an extra bonus was that he modified his schedule to provide the least amount of impact to our business operations.
Believe me when I say that you CANNOT go wrong if you select DEL Electric. I deal with so many contractors of various trades but let me tell you that Doug Lilley is a throwback to the days of honest and trustworthy business owners. I felt as if I was in complete control of the job because Doug ensured that I was geting exactly what we discussed.
A great experience and I will definitely have Doug do more work for me in the future!!

I also have to point out that Doug was so patient with my ridiculously complicated schedule/rebuilding kitchen process. We began kitchen demo in October, that was the easy part. When the kitchen was down to bare walls, Doug came out to remove fluorescent lighting and add recessed lights. Piece of cake. Then we installed the cabinets but a couple had been ordered wrong size and we couldn't install appliances until correct cabinets were in, so that made Doug have to wait several weeks to install cabinet lighting and appliances. No problem. I also went to Texas for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays for 5 weeks!!! No problem. Once correct cabinets were installed, Doug came back to do cabinet lighting and microwave, cooktop and oven circuit. Awesome! Then we had to wait several weeks for the countertops to be measured and cut. After they were installed Doug came back out to hook up the cooktop and vent hood. During each "phase" Doug was understanding, patient and willing to work around all the setbacks I/we encountered. We had excellent communication back and forth through email and phone calls with updates on progress and scheduling around roadblocks. (He did the livingroom and master bedroom fan as well as the foyer light in between some of the kitchen "phases"). He even sent me a follow up email a week or so after completion to see how everything was working.
I just cannot say enough good things about DEL Electric! We remolded EVERY room in our house over the last year and a half.
Out of ALL the different people my husband and I encountered (Ex: painter, plumber, carpet guy, counter top guys, window guys, garage door guy, hardwood floor refinishing guy, air conditioner guy) we both agree that DEL Electric aka Doug was our absolute favorite person to work with. He is knowledgeable, funny (he literally had me laughing every day!) and GENUINE!!!!!!

Not only did he have the best price, but he really took to time to understand what we were looking for and then come up with options for us to chose from.
We knew we wanted to replace the existing lighting in the family room and kitchen with recessed can lighting, but did not know how many, what type, or what placement. Doug did a great job of explaining the options and then worked to come up with great layout designs.
For example, in the family room, he recommended placement of the cans just behind the "L" shaped couch configuration to prevent the light from hitting people in the eyes (as it would have if there were lights put in the very center of the room over the coffee table).
The kitchen is an odd layout, and Doug really came up with a simple and effective lighting design for recessed lighting.

Hello , Sorry for the delay >>> replace electrical panel . Install new SQD homeline 200 amp main breaker panel with new breakers , meter base , service mast and permit $1300.00 >>>replace service entrance feeders with new meter base and permit $400.00 >>>install 90 amp - 240 volt circuit for HVAC Heat in attic $400.00 >>>install new outlet in corner of kitchen 20 amp-120 volt GFI protected , done by relocating old air handler circuit $150.00 >>> replace panel feeders and use old meter base , if possible $200.00- $300.00 I believe that I looked your job on 9/9/11 and gave you a verbal price and emailed it to you on 9/15/11. I estimate to best of my ability and I do not win every bid . I consult with other contarctors and try to keep my prices inline . best regards , Doug"
He was prompt both days he was on the project and arrived when he said he would. At the end of the job he reviewed his work and made sure we were happy with all of his work and that there was nothing to clean up. I would highly recommend Doug and Del to anyone looking for electrical work. A great job! Thank you.

NOT our expericence with DEL Electric. Showed up on time, was thoroughly knowlegable, professional, clean, and did outstanding work. We will definitely use him again when we do some remodeling work in the future. I will not hesitate to recommend DEL to friends and family.

I was also impressed that he emailed later that evening to make sure I was happy with the end result (as it was difficult to tell in the bright afternoon how well the lights would do lighting all areas of the kitchen at night, when it was dark).

As an update 7/29/201: Had DEL (Doug) replace attic fan. He also replaced the thermostat and fixed the wiring harness ($250). Excellent work and excellent electrician. Doug is a great guy. Thanks.
