We found out about this business guy (it is a one-person business - he works with a helper when needed) only since a neighbor had used him to put system in a couple of rental properties he owned and had recommended him to us. His estimate was less than 2/3 the cost of the other three highly rated providers we had contacted for estimates. The only limiting factor was that we had wanted a Trane system, and Ken was waiting for his dealership permission to be reinstated; Trane apparently requires a certain number of sales each year, and Kenny had been in Afganistan with for six months the previous year when his reserve unit had been called up. He was using American Standard in the meantime; both American Standard and Trane are made by the same company, and Ken described the similarities in detail, and explained that except for a few mainly cosmetic difference (and a slightly higher price for the Trane) the models for a house of our size were virtually identical.
We had wanted two separate systems so we could have our upstairs and downstairs at different temperatures. Kenny said he would be delighted to sell and install us two systems, but that he could put in a zoning system, with two separate thermostats, that would accomplish our objectives for less than 1/3 the cost of a second system. We also added a humidifier (my wife has asthma).
Ken and his assistant came and accomplished the job in 1 day (finished up some details the second morning), including a complete and thorough cleanup of everything and removal and disposal of the old system. He made sure everything was operating perfectly and that we knew how to set up and use the new thermostats before he left. He called a couple of weeks after everything had been completed to make sure we had no problems with the new system. He then called six months later (just as it the heating season was about to start) to schedule a visit to come out and inspect everything - no charge for any subsequent visits.
Country Air Heating and Cooling is a superb, highly professional business; we could not have been happier with the services we received, and would highly recommend this business to anyone.

What I liked about the crew who came to do the job was the way they were so respectful and honest. They were friendly and hard workers. The new furnace is a high caliber. They also stuck to the estimate so I knew what to expect when they were done. This is a great company to use.
