Chimney USA was absolut easy to deal with, on time with everything they promised, and did a great job. Brett had me an estimate over the phone based on some pictures I sent him within minutes. He also explained to me what could cause a price change. He stopped by the next day to take measurements and had in less than a week the project finished. Couldn't be happier with Brett and his crew.

The technician contacted me on 11/24/2020 to inform me the material arrived earlier than the estimated date and asked was I available the next day. He and his apprentice arrived on 11/25/2020 at 0900. They completed all tasks within 2 hours. Their performance and customer service was excellent.

I contacted Matthew from Chimney USA LLC @ 757-333-4744. He returned my call promptly to set up an appointment. When Matthew arrived to check my chimney, he was thorough and explained why and where my chimney drafts were coming from. He even went on the roof to ensure the vent above was still in good order. While Matthew was on the roof he noticed a vent pipe that had been eaten by a squirrel. I appreciated all that he did.

I worked with Matt, and was able to get an appointment set up to happen within a few days at a competitive rate. He inspected and cleaned the chimney well, and also noticed breaks in the fireplace/chimney that would possibly lead to severe damage if they weren't repaired before use -- even going so far as to recommend how I could fix it myself, or offering to do it separately if I wanted someone else to. He was skilled, polite, and cared about doing a good/thorough job even beyond the description of what he came to do. we love our fireplace. its one of the biggest reasons we bought our house and it was our first really big $$$ home improvement job (since it was built in 1953, neglected for years, and converted to gas). we shopped around (and heard a lot of bull) but eventually found a reputable company and they did a great job. since then we’ve had an inspection and cleaning at least once a year and never had an issue. sadly (for us) they retired to the good life a few months ago. so, we started shopping around for a new chimney sweep, inspection and repair company. chimney USA had great ratings here and elsewhere so we gave em a call. i’ve never been so glad we’d had hucksters & con artists try to pull a fast one on us before, because boy oh boy these guys tried every trick in the book. without doing even the most cursory cleaning first, without inspecting on the roof, without using any sort of ‘professional’ chimney inspection camera equipment the technician showed us a picture on his cellphone that “showed a very dangerous crack in our liner that had to be fixed immediately.” now, though we were with him the whole time, neither my wife or i saw him take any pictures and, in point of fact, because of our funky smoke shelf/smoke chamber he couldn’t have taken a cellphone picture of our flue — unless he had an invisible, collapsible pizza oven paddle in his jacket. when i asked to see the picture more closely, he shoved it in his pocket while pulling what looked like a carrot-curl of asphalt from the other pocket declaring “you probably didn’t even know you’d had a chimney fire!” at this point i’d had enough, told him so, opened the front door and asked him to leave. his voice went up as he got louder, “i’m not trying to rip you off!” today we had an inspection and cleaning by a company with an A+ rating on BBB, angie’s list, etc., and all their technicians are CSIA certified. first they cleaned (since that is the ONLY way to really see problems). they asked if i’d like to watch the screen while they used the professional grade, lighted camera (i did). there were no big dangerous cracks and absolutely no evidence of a chimney fire. i would strongly recommend that anyone thinking of dealing with chimney usa be warned and be aware and GET A SECOND OPINION before you let these guys begin any work.

Outstanding. Brett was on time and quickly solved my problem. Would highly recommend Chimney USA and Brett in particular. He’ll be back next week to replace the chimney cracks. He even provided photos of what needed to be done.

Fast and easy. The tech showed up on time and was quick and efficient in his inspection. He took several pictures to document the results of his inspection and provided written report with photos attached via email so I could provide proof of completion to my landlord. No cleaning was required as I had not used the fireplace during my occupancy, and I was happy that he only charge me for the inspection. Overall very satisfied, would happily use again.

Incredibly pleasant and respectful. Did what we needed, although the news (cracks inside the chimney walls...which they videotaped for proof) was depressing...

Matt was able to schedule me for the very next day, unlike some other companies that wouldn't come out for a few weeks. The inspection showed that the animal wasn't in the chimney, but more likely the wall. Matt took the time to view the exterior and find the likely spot where the animal crawled in, even though that was not related to the chimney at all. We're very thankful!

Took time inspecting, showed pictures of his findings, and answered all questions politely and professionally. The tech, who actually did the cleaning, did an excellent job. Second contact, for sanding and painting the cap, was with one of their techs. Exactly same. Professional and polite. Both contacts involved follow up emails, which were also responded to.
