Took advantage of the Angie's List reduced price.  Repairman (Shawn) showed up on time almost to the minute.  Looked over my heat pump/furnace system and gave it a clean bill of health.  I asked about something a previous repairman told me would take a $900 part to fix a "nice to have feature".  Shawn checked and found a new thermostat that did the same job for $437 INSTALLED.  He went for the new item and everything was in place and explained the same morning.  Excellent work by a very courteous repairman.  I would not hesitate to recommend 7 Services to my friends.

I took advantage of the deal I was alerted to on Angie's list for an $89.00 tune up of heating and air systems.  They came and seemed to do that alright although they missed a problem on my furnace I discovered later.  They talked me into joining a "Club Membership" for $155.40 during that visit which would give discounts and service etc.  I later noticed a corrosion problem in the piping of my furnace and called over several months and could not get them to return my call.  I have called at least 6 times to get them to set up an appointment to fix this problem and still have not received a call back, even though I talked to the owner's son twice and the owner's wife once!  I'm done waiting on this company now and hope no one else falls for their "Club" pitch.  I also could never recommend their service.

The estimate was given over the phone as 7 services had an Angielist 2 ton as a special promotion.  They arrived two days later to install.  They arrived at the specified time and installed the system that day.  I was impressed with Mr. Malin's knowledge as I had many questions concerning a vibration that I was hearing.  He promptly had the technician correct and minimize the sound.  He included extra's in my package which I greatly appreciate.  This particular installation was a rental but I had him to my home for a quote on a gas heater and ac.  I would use this company again.

Co. set up appt.
Co. came early with my o.k.
Introduced himself, saw his I.D.
Showed him where the a/c unit was outside, the unit in the garage, and the thermostat.
He went from unit to unit to thermostat - retraced his steps a few times.  Went to every register in the home and checked the temp.
Told me everything appeared to be fine.  Went over changing air filter at least every 30 days.
I signed off

5/18/2012 was my service appointment between 2-4pm. When I arrived home from work the companies van was in my driveway (blocking my garage door so I couldn?t pull in). The serviceman was young and very pleasant. He went to work checking the A/C units (I have two), he was in the attic, he checked the vents, and he checked the units themselves.
Here?s where things go very bad, very fast. The serviceman was upstairs and I was downstairs for several minutes. I went upstairs to check on him; I thought he was up in the attic. I needed something in my bedroom and when I walked in I noticed the bathroom light on. I stood there for a few seconds wondering if I had left it on. I then heard a noise that sounded like my cabinet (that I keep meds and other things in) closing. I moved towards the bathroom where I could see the serviceman down on one knee and then he stood up quickly and started checking the vent in my bathroom. From that point-on I felt very uneasy and as he spoke it was very fast. I didn?t say anything to him; I am a female and I was alone in the house.
We went downstairs and he informed me I was 6 lbs. low in my downstairs A/C unit, but because he felt bad he would cut me a deal and only charge me for 4 lbs. At that point I called a co-worker and had him speak with the serviceman. We agreed not to have the coolant put in until a nitrogen check could be done on the system to determine if there was a leak in my downstairs A/C. Before the appointment could be set-up the serviceman had to call back to the main office to get an estimate on the nitrogen test, possible fix cost and refrigerant. At that point, I was going to be charged for 6 lbs. of refrigerant and the entire bill could have ended up costing over $600.00.
Feeling very uneasy about what transpired, I finally called the owner and spoke with him about the incident. I explained that I couldn?t be for certain the serviceman was in my medicine cabinet, but I did hear the sound and I did see him on bended knee in front of the cabinet and quickly standing up. I explained that it made me feel very uneasy in my own house. While on the phone with the owner I cancelled my appointment for the nitrogen leak test and informed him I would be calling the original company that installed it in case I needed a part replaced and it was still under warranty. The owner said he would speak with the serviceman and would call me back. A few hours later I did receive a call, but it was from the serviceman that was at my house ? he said ?My Dad told me I freaked you out?. The owner at no point mentioned to me that it was his Son on my service-call. The Son was very apologetic and I was going to let it go and not write a review on Angie?s list; however the story doesn?t stop here.
My neighbor?s good friend use to work for a company that services A/C systems. I trust my neighbor and his friend so I called the recommended company. They came over for the initial consultation on 6/1/2012. This service provider was extremely pleasant, but more importantly Extremely Honest! He checked my A/C unit and found that it was low, but not 6 lbs. low as I was told. He told me if it needed any refrigerant I would probably only need 1 lb. Additionally, the service provider told me that the downstairs unit only holds 4.8 lbs. of refrigerant and that it is written on the unit; yet I was going to be charged for 6 lbs. of refrigerant by 7 Services.
When the company I hired charged the line there was an indication something was wrong with the unit. He went back into the attic and found that the TXV wasn?t functioning right and it would have to be replaced.
6/5/2012 the company I hired to do the work came back with the part and did the following. - Replaced TXV in downstairs A/C unit- Pumped down refrigerant so no new refrigerant was needed- Charged unit w/nitrogen to 250 psi (no leaks detected)- Vacuumed down system and turned back on- Installed float switches into drain pan (my drain pan was rusted and I have already had an overflow issue which caused leak damage in my ceiling. Until the company I hired explained to me about the drain pan and the float switches I didn?t put it together why I had a leak in my ceiling)
For 3 hours of labor and 2 float switches I was only charged $356.00. The TXV was covered under warranty, but even if it hadn?t been my total still would have been cheaper than what I was quoted by 7 Services Inc. and my A/C unit is fixed, which it wouldn?t have been had I let 7 Services do the job.
Bottom-line, I WOULD NOT recommend 7 Services Inc.

Our Air Conditioner/Heat Pump quit putting out cool air Monday 5/28 evening. On Tuesday, during lunch at work, I went to Angie's List to find a recommendedA/C repair.  I chose 7 Services after reading reviews on Angie's List.I sent an email through Angie's List to 7 Services in Virginia Beach and told themmy problem.  I told them I needed to get someone out to look at the system assoon as they could. 7 Services got back to me later that afternoon and told me that they would havetime to come out and look at my system.  TheTechnician said he would be ableto look at my system that evening after he finished some other calls that he hadand he thought it would be about 2 hours.    The technician got to my house in a little over 2 hours, which was great and we took him out to the outside unit that had the problem.  He ran a diagnosticon it and determined what the problem was and explained it to us.  He explainedthat it would require a part that he did not have with him and that he would returnwith the needed part the next day mid morning.  We paid for the diagnostic andthe part at that time.   The tech arrived with the part the next day mid morning, installed the part and brought the system back on line.  He made sure it was functioning correctly, before he left.  The system has been back online since then and functioning just perfectly. While the tech was at my house he also provided some suggestions for helpingkeep the unit clean and functioning properly.  I asked about a maintenace contract and he was happy to provide the informationand left us with a copy of the maintence service agreement for us to look over anddecide if that's what we want to do.  The tech was both professional and knowedgable.  We were very pleased with the fast response and the service and will certainlycall them again if we need them.

The technician arrived on time and completed the work in a timely fashion. The work took about four hours, during which the 20-year-old coil unit in the garage and the outdoor unit were removed and replaced by new equipment.

The service technician was very professional and friendly.  After hisinitial check he explained his findings.  One part needed to be replaced; however,he first explained why the part needed to be replaced and asked me to comeoutside to the unit to further explain.  Overall, I am very satisfied with the workand the good deal through Angies List.

Had to have my HVAC system replaced and ductwork repaired.  They not only did a quality job at a fair price, they were HONEST which is a rarity in the HVAC business.  They gave an honest assessment of what I needed and the most cost effective course of action rather than try to sell me the most expensive unit or charge me for work they said they did but didn't as other companies have tried to do.

7 Services came out on a Friday to install my system.   I was expecting it to take about 4-5 hours, so I had my niece let them in while I was at work.  My plan was to get off work early to see them before they were done.  They did the job quicker than expected and were gone before I could even get home to ask questions (my fault for not getting home earlier).  I tested out the new unit and it seemed to work fine when I changed the temperature or switched between heat and cool on the older thermostat.

Unfortunately, over the weekend the unit stopped working.  I called William on a Sunday (expecting to get a voice mail).  To my pleasant surprise, I got through to William.  He said he could have someone out to fix it the next day.  Shaun from 7 Services was out the next day as planned and was able to figure out the problem -- apparently the dual fuel system needed a different thermostat.  He was able to get the heat pump working, and I ordered a new thermostat through 7 Services.

I will update after they install the new thermostat, but so far so good.  I would definitely use 7 Services again!

The appointment went smoothly.  They were on time and completed the job timely.  After the inspection and maintenance was complete, the tech reviewed the yearly service options with us so that we could determine what package we will go with next year.

Technicians inspected my A/C system during the annual maintenance inspection. The owner of the company came by several days later to inspect the work and to see if I was satisfied with my A/C comfort needs. Good and personal service is what I require from my service providers.
