They showed up on time and got started right away. They had to disconnect the old unit (both air handler and heat pump) and did a great job. When the job was completed they went over the newer digital thermostat, which was helpful..Jerry showed up twice during the install to make sure all was on track. One major problem we had with the old unit was that air flow to the 2nd floor master bedroom was terrible and we have always had to have a window AC. The air flow is much greater with this new unit, over the weekend the master bedroom was within a degree or two of main floor. We are are very happy with their service.

We moved into a new house about 8 months ago, and were warned by our home inspector that our AC was on it's deathbed, and had maybe one to two years left. Well, it died a little earlier than we were expecting. I e-mailed Mannix through Angie's list on Monday night, and by Tuesday morning at 8am, they already called to schedule an appointment. We were hoping that we could do a simple repair and manage to limp through until next summer, but after Dan carefully evaluated the situation and explained to us that our compressor was a goner, we knew we were talking about total replacement. And it didn't make sense to replace the AC without replacing the equally vintage furnace. Dan spent a lot of time trying to figure out a cheaper fix for us, which I really appreciated, though unfortunately, our AC had other plans. Dan serviced our other AC/furnace which are only about 2 years old. To say that Dan is awesome is an understatement. I think we could have hung out with him all day. Dan scheduled for an estimator, Patrick, to come out and talk with us about our options, and Patrick came later that afternoon. He carefully explained everything to us in terms of our options/what he would recommend/etc, and I never felt like he was trying to over-sell. He was also incredibly friendly. In the end, we opted to have another company do the install, because they noticed a few things that were not up to code/problems with our existing system which they are supposed to address (we will see how that goes, as it hasn't happened yet). But I would absolutely recommend Mannix--their customer service was top-notch, and their estimate was actually the lowest of the three we received. And we loved Dan. LOVED Dan. I also would like to mention that one of the other companies who came out to give us an estimate knew that we were considering Mannix, and had nothing but positive things to say about them as well. If your competition has nice things to say about you, then clearly you are doing something right.

They were excellent. They tried to walk me through my A/C problem. The owner actually came out to help me with my need since I could not fix it myself.

I had Mannix out for a service call on my air conditioning system because it was not functioning properly. The system was old and a previous owner had hired a jack-leg to install it. It was time to replace the coils and compressor. I confirmed this with another HVAC contractor. Jerry Mannix came out to inspect the system and make recommendations on replacement products. Jerry discovered that a high-performance furnace had been installed only a few year ago but was not properly matched to the air conditioner. Also, the high-performance thermostat that matches the furnace was not installed so the system was not able to be used to it's fullest potential. Jerry recommended a high-efficiency system that was specifically designed to work with the furnace I already had. His thoroughness, the great experience I had with his service tech Bill, and the high marks they receive on Angie's List are the reasons I hired them to install my new system. The crew showed up as scheduled in clean uniforms. The 3-man crew lead by Lupe worked diligently to complete the job in the time I was quoted. Lupe told me his plan and executed beautifully. You can see in the photos what a neat job they did. I am especially pleased by how they ran the new line set along the brick and down to the compressor. The old line set was practically laying in the dirt along the bottom of the foundation wall. At Jerry's recommendation, I provided 6 bags of stone. The crew used it to create a level area on which to place the base and compressor. I could not be there when the crew finished up, but my wife was home. Lupe took the time to explain the new system and how the new thermostat works. She was very happy with her interaction and instruction. When I got home I found a beautiful installation and absolutely NO MESS in my home or yard. This is Customer Service at it's finest. It starts with the office staff (who were wonderful) and ends with a personal call from Jerry to make sure you are happy. I now understand why Mannix has such high marks on Angie's List. From start to finish everyone I spoke to was professional, helpful and delivered more than what they told me they would.

In an attempt to swap out my old thermostat to a new thermostat (Nest), I blew the fuse inside the heat pump. Mannix came out the same day I called and within an hour fixed, the fuse and then installed the new Nest thermostat with no further issues. Excellent, professional work that was performed quickly.

Mannix was willing to help even though the job was small. They arrived on time. recut the opening to accept currrent frame and cover, and cleaned up after themselves when they left. Punctual. No surprises. Good quality work. They are a permanent addition to my list for any sort of HVAC work.

From start to finish, the entire experience was excellent. We were able to easily schedule an appointment and Jerry Mannix came over to a**** our current system. We talked about a variety of system options, and Jerry provided a number of choices of systems. There was no pressure at all during the sales process, and I found it to be a great education in HVAC. We immediately signed a contract, and the work was performed a few days later. The work crew showed up on time, and were very professional. They treated my house like it was their own. Jerry was here first thing in the morning to ensure that the crew understood the scope and work to be performed. The install was completed without difficulty. The crew prides itself in workmanship, which was very evident in how the supply lines, electrical, etc. were run and secured. (As an example, the crew found that my original system had been wired with aluminum wiring and upgraded the wiring to current code at no additional cost.). The crew cleaned up and left the work area better than they found it. When the installation was finished, Jerry came by to inspect the work to make sure he was satisfied. He also gave my wife and I a tutorial on how to use the programmable "smart" thermostats on the main floor and upper floors. There was no rush, and he answered quite a few questions for us.

The appointment went very well. The cost was exactly as quoted, and Dan (I can't quite remember his name, but I think that's what it is) was willing to explain everything to us so that we understood our HVAC unit and how to maintain it. He even made a phone call to a colleague to provide us with some additional information about the fire separation in the HVAC closet. Dan was very professional and friendly and I would gladly have him back in my home. He was an hour or so late beyond our 2 hr appointment window, which is always a little annoying, but he was stuck in traffic and he called a few times with updates on his ETA.

On Thursday night, I turned on my AC for the first time this year and there's no air coming out. I was able to turn on the fan. I found Mannix on Angie's List and called them the next morning. They were able t come later in the afternoon as I requested because I had to be at work all day. Bill arrived and was very professional. It turns out that the unit was frozen and he need to wait for it to thaw out before checking it. He offered to get a person to come in on Saturday, but I told him I can wait until Monday since it was going to be cooler that weekend.He came back during the time provided, did the test and provide me with the description of the problem. Since it is 10+ year old unit, I decided to instead of fixing it, I got a new AC unit and coil replaced. The Estimator came that same day and provide me with the detail options. He wasn't pushy or try to convince me to buy the more expensive unit. He was also very professional and clear when explaninig the options I had. He was also able to schedule the installation the next day as I wanted.The team of 4 guys came in, very professional, and very nice. They replaced the unit outside and the coil unit inside. I also get them to replace the thermostat as well. The job were not quickly and clean withing a few hours. Even though I had to spend the money that I wasn't planned for, but the experience with Mannix made me feel confidence that I will not have to worry about my AC units for the next many years.

Mid-day I came in and saw that the house was more than 10 degrees cooler than I had the thermostat set. Called Mannix based upon their Angie's List rating. It was a busy time for them, but the dispatcher told me she would see if she could find a technician. She did, and he came the same day in the early evening. Following assessment, he determined the problem was the thermostat. He offered me a choice between a regular or programmable unit. Although the programmable units cost much more, I elected to purchase one based upon the potential fuel savings. He finished the job well past the normal quitting time for this type of service. There was no additional charge for starting, and staying, beyond normal working hours. Unit has been running fine ever since. Technician was courteous, efficient, and clean (right down to the disposable booties he put on his shoes before he stepped into the house). These folks will be covering my HVAC needs in the future.

Great service, would use this company again. However, the cost of the replacement part was more with this company than some others we contacted.

I sent the company an e-mail via Angie's website and their receptionist contacted me immediately when the business opened. I was able to get service on my A/C unit the same day. Dan was the technician and he represents this company so well. He explained everything to me as he went along and I was extremely satisfied and happy that I called Mannix!

I chose Mannix based on the reviews on Angie's List and they did not disappoint. When I called to make the appointment I told the receptionist the service we needed done (coil cleaning) and asked how much it would cost. She said without seeing the unit (brand/size/etc.) she could only give a ballpark range of somewhere in the $300's. Mannix sent Dan Jones out for our appointment who was very personable, professional, and knowledgeable. He said he would do the coil cleaning for $200 which was great! He also explained the problem and showed me the before and after. He took his time cleaning the coils and gave us some tips to help keep our unit running (its 26 years old). I would highly recommend using Mannix for your HVAC needs.

We hadn't done anything with our HVAC system since moving in our house about 5 years ago. The system always worked and we had never had any problems but it is an older system so I decided to have it serviced. The serviceman came in to do the $79 service (Angie's List price) and was very informative throughout the whole experience. He checked and replaced the battery in our thermostat then moved down to the main system. While checking the main system he found a breaker that had blown and fused some wires together that he repaired right on the spot. Big thumbs up for that level of service. We ended up ordering the yearly maintenance plan with them as well so our total cost came to around $300, which included the price for the original service, the repair parts and the maintenance plan. Very reasonable prices and quality service.

Excellent installation. Jerry called within 3 hours of completion to check if I was happy with the work and everything else. Noticed that the heat pump was one SEER higher than the one quoted, and Jerry explained the factory did not have the one quoted, but sent the next higher and did not charge more for it and he passed that on to me. One interesting aside. During Jerrys look at the old system, he was the only of the 4 quotes I received who noticed that there was an old 220 volt live wire from a previous air handler heater that was still connected to my electrical box. The man knows his business. His recommendations on what needed to be changed were spot on, and all were changed as proposed. Highly recommend them.

I originally was disappointed with the experience that I had with a Mannix estimator when I requested a price quote for a whole-house-humidifier. I expressed my frustration in Angie's List. The owner of Mannix, Jerry Mannix, called me in less than 24 hours to apologize and to address my complaints. During our conversation, I quickly got the sense that Jerry was clearly focused on customer service and on maintaining a high level of satisfaction for his company. To not leave things on a bad note, he then offered me with a free maintenance service on our HVAC unit. Within days, a technician, named Dan, came out and serviced our unit. Dan is a very professional, engaging, polite, and friendly guy. He was meticulous in his tasks, and went above and beyond in checking our thermostat, damper, duct registers, and fan settings. He was educational and gave plenty of tips and to-do's for me to maintain a good working HVAC unit. Dan also extended an additional complementary service to look at the A/C unit during the summer time. This 2nd experience I have with Mannix solidifies their great ratings in Angies' List. They care a great deal about customer service and they were able to change my first impression of the company. I will now consider using them in the future.

My husband and I bought a house last year and needed someone to come look at the HVAC unit because there was a discrepancy in air flow between the first and second floor. I picked Mannix HVAC from Angies List due to their excellent customer satisfaction record. They did not disappoint. Dan was awesome. In the middle of December, during one of the coldest days of the winter, our heater decided to blow cold air. I just gave birth to a baby boy and was in sheer panic our baby will be cold. I called Mannix. At first, they told me they would not be able to come until the next day, however I got a call from them at 4:30pm saying that someone will be working late that night and will be able to stop by to take a look at the heater. I was relieved!! Dan came to the rescue again. I appreciated him stopping by so much. I was made aware he have been working since 7am that morning, but knew there was a baby in the house so he made a stop before heading home. Unfortunately, my HVAC unit was not a common type of unit and a part had to be ordered. Overall, it took three days to diagnose the problem (twice), order the part, and fix the heater. They were always on time, friendly, and went above and beyond in keeping our new family warm. If i ever have another HVAC issue, I will always be using them in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a HVAC fix.

Woke up on a Sunday morn to a cold house. Although the blower was working and I could see the 'glow' of the igniter, No heat was coming out. I called Mannix after seeing on Angies list and the name was familiar. The weekend call receptionist was very nice - 'Bill' the tech called me within 20 minutes of my call - on a Sunday morning! I described my issue & system I have. He arrived at the house on time - 1130 AM. Diagnosed the issue and had the part in his truck. All fixed in about an hoour. I could have saved about $100 waiting until Monday - which Bill readily offered up - but I opted to go ahead with the emergency Sunday call. Would definitely recommend Mannix and will use again.

I called one night at 7 pm on Wednesday. Mr. Mannix, the owner, answered the phone and offered to come the next morning. However, I had doctors appointments. He came the following day, Friday. He walked through and explained everything thoroughly. He made the proper repairs. He was timely and prompt. He was also professional and efficient. I will use him in the future. Everything works great. I would recommend their services to anyone.

We woke up the morning of the 6th to a freezing cold house...64 degrees! One call to Mannix was all it took and they sent a technician right over. Bill Allen was very professional, arrived on time and completed the work in a timely manner. He made several suggestions about ways to improve the operation of our system but was in no way pushy. The problem ended up being a faulty programmable thermostat that was cycling on/off constantly never allowing the real temperature to register. He offered us several different models even apologizing that he didn't have a "fancy" touch screen one like our current non-functioning model. (I didn't really want that one again anyway as it broke in just over 16 months of use.) We were more than happy with the choices he DID have and chose a nice middle of the road programmable model. He finished up by checking the operation of the newly installed thermostat before he left to make sure everything would be toasty that evening. I would not hesitate to use Mannix again!

They were fine and did a good job. I will use them again in the future.

I called Mannix at 1:00 on a Friday afternoon about my furnace problem. The receptionist was courteous and was able to schedule an appointment for me that afternoon at 4:00. Bill Allen was punctual, diagnosed, and fixed the problem within 30 minutes. Thankfully, I now have heat, and am grateful for the service Mannix provided.

Bill came the same day we called and diagnosed that the furnace control board needed to be replaced. He managed to get a new one and install it in less than 24 hours. He was on time both days and he charged less than what some other companies asked for. We highly recommend Mannix.

The service was very good will have him come back and clean filters in the spring
