Steve came by punctually to give me an estimate. He was very professional and called and gave me my options for replacing the upstairs furnace (I have two zones in my house). Mannix's installers were very professional and did a nice job installing the new system. There was a bit of confusion over the thermostat that was supposed to be installed as part of the Installation Agreement, and they had to make a second trip out to install the new thermostat. When they returned to install it, we discussed it and opted not to replace the current thermostat because it was working fine. We have been through one full winter with the new furnace and it has worked very well. (The upstairs of my house is considerably warmer.) Overall, I found Mannix very pleasant to deal with.

They were very knowledgeable when they came out to see my setup and recommend the proper size for my home and to address other issues I had regarding heating and cooling my home to ensure I was getting what I needed. When they arrived the following week to install the system they were able to complete everything in a marathon day! It was amazing!!!! Things went smoothly and my new Carrier Infinity system, along with the changes they made, has improved the comfort of my home. Plus I was able to use their 5 year 0% interest financing plan! A Win-Win all around! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new system or make improvements in the comfort of their home.

Everyone showed up looking clean and professional. They were on time. Communication was easy and timely. They allowed us to discuss options and were even willing to talk with my father since I don't know as much about this sort of thing. They never made me feel like I was putting them out even though it was probably extra working explaining things to me and then to my father who lives out of state. I really don't have any complaints. It cost a ton of money I wasn't prepared to dish out...but that isn't their fault. I think the price was reasonable and the service was excellent. I would recommend them!

The technician arrived on time and was friendly and quick. He cleaned the unit, performed the check, and was done in less than a half an hour. He didn't try to sell me any bogus tune ups or washes. Mannix was recommended by my home inspector, and I plan to use them again.

I've been happy with Mannix Heating & Cooling. I have used them a few times. They came fairly quickly and solved the problem. It's more expensive than I really like. The work they did was good.

We called the company for an estimate for a new furnace and AC unit and they were able to set up an evening appointment for us, which is hard to get from many HVAC companies. Patrick came on time and was extremely professional. He answered our questions, made suggestions, and explained options without ever giving us the "hard sell" or trying to pressure us into anything. He left us detailed information and followed up with additional information and was responsive to questions we asked via phone and email. Mannix prices were also very competitive. They weren't the cheapest estimate we got but with their warranty, good reviews and our interactions with Patrick we felt confident that Mannix was the best purchase. The install went very well with the techs also being very professional and efficient. There was a slight mix-up with a thermostat and when we called Patrick to inform him of this he had not problem sending out someone to get it switched to the correct item. We have nothing but good things to say about the company and are extremely happy with our decision to purchase from Mannix.

He told me the job should take 2 hours approximately. Matt and Billy arrived on time. Billy explained what they were going to do. He said the job should take 2 hours. Both Matt and Billy wore shoe covers so as not to track dirt into the house, they also laid canvas floor coverings from the back door all the way into the basement. The install took 2 hours exactly. During the install both men hardly spoke to one another. One would hold out his hand and the other would hand him the part he needed. Billy said they had been working together for 9 years, so they thought as one. The install went perfectly. We had a 6 year warranty on parts and 1 year on labor. Mannixe finest company we have dealt with. I'd recommend them to anyone

The whole process was very smooth from the estimate, discussion of options, scheduling the work and the actual work itself. Very professional staff who left everything in perfect shape and 100% clean.

Mannix sent a service technician right away. Unfortunately, as we suspected, our very old unit had to be replaced. A salesperson came first thing Satuday morning and it was installed Monday morning. We didn't get competitive bids due to the heat and timing of the occurrence but felt it was a fair price. We discovered we got an even better price than our neighbors who had a couple of estimates. Highly recommend Mannix!

After the service contractor that installed original units in new construction townhouse (2001) explained that A/C was on its last legs and could go at anytime, and that heating was not too far behind, obtained several estimates for replacement of both units. Mannix offered a competitive bid for Carrier products which was helped by some company discounts being offered at the time of installation. Mannix was flexible with their schedule and we established a mutually-agreeable date for the one-day job; I wrote them a check for 1/3 deposit in advance (more on that below). Mannix determined that they would need to rent a crane in order to lift and place the A/C unit in back yard (we have a detached garage). On the day of the install, employees arrived on time, ready to do the work. The crane, however, did not show up; we later learned that there had been a snafu with scheduling it. As a result, they took care of everything else that they could minus the A/C install, including install of heating unit, replacement of humidifier, additional duct work and vent in the second floor closet and hallway, install of new thermostat pad, etc. They agreed to reschedule the A/C install one week later; correctly they did not take the check I had written for the remaining 2/3 balance stating that they would take the check once all of the work was completed. (I was disappointed that they could not finish the job in one day, as it required us to take off from work two different days). On the following Monday they returned, were early, the crane arrived, and the job was completed within a couple of hours, at which time they took the check for the 2/3 balance with them. Employees were very efficient, competent and professional, they worked cleanly, and hauled all old equipment away. Heating unit is much more efficient, runs more quietly and overall temperature in house appears to be more even among the three floors -- which was another goal. After the job was finally completed, I was contacted by Mannix because there had been a snafu with the original 1/3 deposit check -- it had been mailed to their Virginia office, but somehow never received. They requested I stop payment on the first check, and write them a new check minus the stop-payment fee my bank would charge -- I thought that was fair and did so the same day. Mannix also offered a one-year service contract as part of their package install, so I will continue to rely on them to service the new units 2014-2015.

Spoke with two contractors and Mannix contacts were quick at following up. In short, the put a new unit in a day after the contract. Installers were professionals, worked non stop to finish in one day. Very pleased.

I've fought with my boiler for many years and had trouble finding someone who could diagnose the problems correctly. I really liked Dave -- clearly knew what he was doing. He diagnosed the problem quickly and replaced the valve quickly (less than an hour) the next day. They were very easy to schedule. They were available to come out the same day I called. They gave me a call 30 minutes before arriving, which is much more convenient for me than expecting me to sit home for a four hour window as is common for other repair services. The original quote for the repair was $575 but Dave knocked off $100 because the repair went so well and they found the part at a wholesale price. I appreciated this. They don't itemize the costs (labor, parts, etc.) but they do clearly communicate the price in advance so there are no surprises. The cost of the second visit did seems slightly high to me, even with the $100 discount, but I was still happy to pay it since they did such a great job.

work was performed by Jeremy and Melvin. they were very professional and work very diligently to get the task completed on time. Jeremy was kind enough to removed all the old cable and an old dish satellite that was near the heat pump. I'm very happy with Mannix and the work they've performed. I hope that they are equally responsive if there are any future issues with the unit, although I hope not to see them other than the scheduled maintenance.

Mannix Heating and Cooling was great! Both servicemen were right on time, very organized and had everything ready to go. They answered all of my questions. They did not attempt to sell me anything extra and they ensured both units were working properly.

Arrived on time and took all precautions in the house. Spotless! Completed all the work in one day as promised. Price was excellent - all discounts were outlined even the ones from the gas and power company. Very responsive to all my questions and requests for numerous options.

I had a water heater leak on a Saturday morning. Patrick came out promptly and ordered me a new water heater. To expedite things, he arranged to have the water heater installed the same day. To make sure that everything went as planned, he ran to the distributor to reserve a tank. He even helped me drain it.

My old heat pump was failing so I interviewed 3 companies for the job, including Mannix Heating and Cooling. I had been getting conflicting information on what size unit I needed (1-1/2 ton versus 2 ton) so I was very happy when the salesperson, Patrick Horan, did an excellent job of explaining what I needed and why. He did not try to push items on me to buy that I did not need and was very honest and open. The price seemed in line with bids I was getting from other companies. In the end, I decided to go ahead with Mannix and the install happened the very next day. The install team arrived promptly on time and did an excellent job, (sorry I forgot their names again..). They installed the new heat pump and a new programmable thermostat. They were very careful to have their shoes covered when inside the house and were very polite, professional and respectful which I really appreciated. They finished the job in about 5 hours and cleaned up the work area and took all the old equipment. The installer also took the time to explain the programmable thermostat and explained the importance of changing the filters regularly. What even impressed me more was the salesman dropped by towards the end of the install just to check on things and answer any questions I may have had. Overall I was very impressed with this company.

The technician came in and knew right away it was a capacitor and replaced it within a half an hour. Great service - I'll will use again.

I called Mannix for an estimate, Hal showed up and provided me with options, and called him back a few days later to schedule an install. They setup the installation for the following day. Two installers arrived, setup the system in about four hours, and showed me how to use the programmable thermostat. I was impressed with the quality of their installation. So impressed that I may switch my service contract from Snell to Mannix. I went with Mannix because of their advertised NATE certification and because they were an authorized Carrier dealer. Before selecting Mannix, I interviewed three other companies and Mannix was the clear choice. I would definitely do business with them again.

Mannix Heating and Cooling is the Rolls Royce of HVAC companies. We interviewed several other companies before making a careful and deliberate decision. A major factor we took into consideration is that we wanted to find one company we could completely trust to do a fine job initially and then keep the same company for many years afterward. Mannix fit the requirements perfectly. Bill Blair was our initial contact, a very personable, thorough and caring sales representative. He was unfazed by our many questions and I feel we were given honest answers. Jerry Mannix, the owner of the company actually stopped by to see if we had questions or concerns for him. I liked his no-nonsense, knowledgeable and informative personality immediately. Before he and Bill left, we went with them to check that the flue was properly venting and Mr. Mannix looked the furnace over to be sure further alterations would not be needed in the furnace room. This company is so respectful of your property. Non-installation personnel, including the owner, will not park in your driveway; they park in the street. They are not permitted to smoke on the premises and their language must be child-friendly at all times. I completely trusted the installers. They arrived well-prepared, knowing exactly what they were to do and after only a few moments of conversation with me, they went right to work. I heard not a word from them until they were finished. There was also a wonderful lack of non-essential cell phone calls. They worked quickly, QUIETLY and efficiently. When the work was completed, after many hours, they spent plenty of time with me explaining how to use the new thermostat. I never felt rushed or that they were in a hurry to leave. Every person I came in contact with from this company took their time answering my questions, making sure I understood their answers completely. Two more things to mention among many other positive comments I could make: There was a small gas leak in the furnace room. I had called the gas company to find the leak. Of course the gas was turned off and I was in a panic to find someone to fix it. Jerry Mannix said his company would fix it and charge a small service fee, so I was very pleased. A personable and kind gas expert was sent to repair the pipe. In addition to fixing the leak, he found some unused and unnecessary pipes that he removed and told me to give them to the installation crew for disposal. He refused payment, telling me that we were getting a new system and he was happy to help. Several weeks after the installation, I was on the deck and noticed the new exhaust vent piping. I had not known that the old, worn and incorrectly installed original piping would be replaced. I was glad to see more evidence of a high quality, thorough and expert job. I waited before submitting a review to be sure the pieces we ordered were everything they said they would be. I could not be more pleased with our new system and our new highly trusted HVAC contractor. I expect to use this company for a very long time.
