Overall, experience was excellent. They are also servicing the unit for me. I thought their price was very good. The servicing was part of warranty package. So there was no cost for them to come out and do that.

They were beyond excellent. I spent $10000. They did a really good job. I explained that the heat pump that I had in the house had given me problems form the time it was installed and he explained to me some stuff and I went online and verified his words an he was spot on. He explained how the system works, how it fits together and it why it didn't work well because of the way it was configured.

They did a great job, very professional. I submitted an email request for service and they had someone out the next day. I went for the replacement as my unit was over 25 years old. The estimate and installation were done within 3-4 days and now my home is nice and cool.

It was awful and as far as I'm concerned no one should use these guys and I was surprised to have such a horrible experience from someone I found on Angieslist.

I was very pleased with their work. The water heater they tried to install have a manufacture’s defect. They replaced the next day at no charge. It went very well.

BLUF - I would highly recommend Mannix to everyone! I live in a 35 year old town home with a 15 - 20 year old heat pump and original blower unit inside. Wanting to replace everything on my schedule and not in an emergency I decided to contact three companies for quotes. Patrick, from Mannix, was the first to arrive to provide an estimate. from the time he entered my house he was courteous, knowledgeable and interested in what I wanted. When he looked at my existing unit, he took the time to explain its age, how it worked, my upgrade options etc. While it was a longer visit than I anticipated, I was much more informed about my system and all the upgrade options. After the second and third quotes, I decided to go with Mannix. I should mention that I did not pick the companies based on brand and never asked for any one specifically. However, all three companies quoted nearly the Identical Carrier System which made me feel good about what I was getting. That being said the others dot not provide the same knowledge level regarding the system, one even giving incorrect information. I made my decision not only on the price but also based on the customer service provided by Patrick. On Install day the crew, of two, arrived on time and got straight to work. One inside and one outside, it was clear they were very skilled. Upon completion everything was cleaned up and I received a full tutorial on my systems operation. It has been about 3 months since install and everything is great. I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience and highly recommend Mannix.

The whole experience was professional from beginning to end. The person answering the phone was pleasant and set me up right away with a person to come assess and give me an estimate. Patrick K. Horan was that person. Very professional and pleasant. Within days I had an estimate. And just a few days later the new unit was installed by 2 young men that worked fast. The unit works great and I already gave the name of the company to the Condo. Office so that other tenants can use this company!

The price was very reasonable. I don't have any contact with them, but I know that my husband won't use anybody else, so that is a big plus. That means they please him, and that is a good thing, because he is not easy to please.

I came home two days ago to find my air conditioner wasn't working properly and it was over 90 degrees in my house. The next day I called Mannix to set up an appointment. I was so happy that they could send out someone the very same day. Jerry showed up at the very beginning of my appointment time. He was professional and courteous. He quickly discovered the part that needed replacing and fixed the problem--never trying to up sell me on services. I felt really comfortable having him in my house and would definitely call Mannix again if I have a problem.

Mannix came to quote the project when we were still hoping that what we needed was a repair rather than a full system replacement. Hal was prompt, professional, and very, very helpful. He got up on my roof to help diagnose our problem and walked me through what he thought was wrong. When it became clear that a full system replacement was necessary, we communicated via email to finalize the system selections and to make sure we got exactly the units we needed and wanted. It was a great experience start to finish. The installation crew (Billy and Matt) also did a great job, and the whole thing went quicker and smoother than I thought it would.

Excellent. First, I was able to get an appointment same day. I was given a 12-6 window, but told them I couldn't get home until 1 because of an event. They made a note and changed window to 1-6. Dispatch called at 12:30 to let me know technician would arrive in 30 minutes, which he did. Dave was very friendly. After being invited in, he immediately put on shoe covers to protect my carpets. As I mentioned, he was very systematic. He also took the time to me to explain everything that he was doing. He showed me how by feeling the pipe the freon runs through he could tell it wasn't getting to inside system. (He told me the name of it, but I've unfortunately forgotten.) Within 10 minutes after arriving he had figured out what the issue was and given me some education. I was thrilled I wasn't looking at a new system, but a little bummed that I was paying a $90 service call for having not thought to check the circuit breaker. I was also a little embarrassed that I hadn't thought to check the circuit breaker first (which I mentioned to him) and he very kindly did not make me feel stupid and said that it was one of those lessons you only have to learn once. I suspect he was right about that. :) Once Dave had confirmed the unit was once again working, he talked with me a little about how I could get better heat/AC flowing into my family room very easily/cheaply, since I'd asked. He also ran a couple other checks on the unit to confirm there were no other issues. He advised me that the low freon was due to a small leak that eventually would get worse, but that his recommendation would be to just top off freon when needed rather than trying to locate/fix leak or replace system. Because my freon was done about 10 units from where it was supposed to be, he could have tried to sell me a top off of freon. But he didn't. Instead he just checked the air coming out and said that it was really good and additional freon wasn't needed yet. In the end he wound up staying close to 30 minutes (which is included in the price of the service call), and it was a great experience. Also, as I was settling my account, my neighbor came over to say that Mannix was a really good company. I will definitely call them next time I need HVAC services.

As always, we are completely satisfied with Mannix Heating and Cooling. Several years ago we had a new furnace installed by Mannix , when he was first starting up his own company. Back then, we found him personable, very knowledgeable in his field, his prices fair -- and that has not changed. The best part is that you can trust him. He's honest, and he knows his customers. He remembers your house, and details of the work he's done in it. We had had a furnace installed by another (not honest) provider only four years before we consulted with Mannix, after having had nothing but problems with that other provider's installation. Jerry Mannix came to the rescue. He has provided us with a faultless, quiet, reliable HVAC system for our home, made more complete with this new system installed today. The installation today was efficient and clean, took less time than we had imagined because they know what they're doing! The installer also took all the time we needed to explain the new controls. So the other good thing about Mannix is that he also hires good people. We are as pleased with his installers and maintenance technicians as much as we are with him.

This is second time I've used Mannix and both times I was more than pleased. Once again, the tech was on-time, professional, business-like, courteous and took their work seriously. The first visit the tech went above and beyond (mounted hanging electrical wires safely in outside box) doing work that another company left undone. No extra charge. Would highly recommend them. This time they again found no problems, gave me test results, and explained everything they did. I appreciate not being taken advantage of. (Sometimes companies will do that!) Of note, Dominion Electric company is providing a $90 rebate towards a HVAC tune-up by an approved contractor--Mannix is on their list and gladly completed their part of the rebate form. All in all a great deal. ($175 for 2 tune-ups minus the $90 rebate!)

Dave from Mannix arrived punctually, near the beginning of the time frame. He was courteous, friendly, and professional. he soon discovered the problem (bad capacitor) and fixed in quickly. I highly recommend!

I had two new Carrier Infinity indoor and outdoor units installed. One unit is a gas furnace and AC the other unit is a heat pump and AC. Two teams came in February to install the units. Needless to say it was cold. These guys installed both systems in about 4 hrs. The teams were incredibly courteous, neat and helpful. I waited to write the review to see how the units worked. I have had a couple of minor issues with the units but, Mannix came out same day and resolved the minor issues which were OEM related and not Mannix related. I would highly recommend these guys for your HVAC needs. There are numerous cowboys in the Metro DC area. These guys are NOT to be confused with the cowboys. I will continue to do all my HVAC business and recommend them to anyone that requires HVAC replacement/service. Thanks very much to Mannix Heating and Cooling!

Everything went extremely well. The technicians and installers were highly professional, courteous, thorough and responsive. We will definitely do business with them again, and, actually, have since. Most recently we asked them to check out our air conditioning unit because one of the elements that they did not work on was damaged. We were able to schedule an appointment promptly and they repaired the AC unit efficiently and at a reasonable cost.

Jerry was professional, knowledgeable,thorough and very personable. Best check up I have ever had. I will use Jerry and Mannix for all my future HVAC needs.

They were really good. They were up front with everything and they worked really fast. They have quick response and we can make an appointment quickly. They are always on time for the appointment.

Capacitors seem to go on heat pumps alot. Our heat pump wasn't working but with the little I know, I didn't think it was the capacitor. Within seconds it was diagnosed and then quickly replaced. Arrived on time too.

They were great from start to finish. The gentleman that gave us the estimate is from the area( he and my husband chatted about local breweries)- the estimate was right on target and he came up with a very convenient date to have the work performed. We were amazed- the truck was outside 15-20 minutes prior to the start of the job. The crew was dressed professionally- made sure that everything that they did was cleaned up and the areas left in better shape than they found them. All old parts were gone- and replaced by shiny new equipment. The biggest surprise- they were done an hour earlier than promised. I can't say enough good things about their work from beginning to end!

Been using them to maintain to units in our home. They always been able to send a tech in a timely manner. First time they came to fix a blower in the attic in a very hot day. The company I was using at the time refused to send a technician for 3 days until the attic cools down, and lost my business. Mannix has provided great service since.

Dave arrived and got right to work checking the functioning of my AC. Dave checked all aspects of my AC unit. He was very thorough. All was working well. The particular unit I have takes up to five minutes to start up when turned on. He was very knowledgable and efficient. I will definitely use Mannix again, and ask for Dave.

They are great. They are the best company around, and I did my research.

My tenants reported that the heat wasn't working so we called Mannix to check it out. Bill came out and checked both the inside and outside components, found the problem, and called me to explain what the issue was. He was very professional and timely and even gave me a couple of tips on how to keep my unit clean and keep it in good working condition outside of the regular maintenance schedule. As a follow up, he recommended I have Mannix come back out a month or two later to ensure that the problem was fixed at no charge. Overall great experience and wonderful customer service.
