Went very well.

I noticed over the winter that a small gap had formed between the fascia and gable trim. I called Edwin, he has been taking care of my townhouse for close to 15 years, and he promptly responded. The weather has been rainy lately but as soon as the weather broke Edwin came and addressed the issue. He did the touch up, which is three stories up, at no charge. I tried very hard to give him money but he would not accept it. Wow, standing by your work and customer service, a pleasant surprise.

Work was very professional with a lot of attention to detail. Very punctual, worked long days with only a short break for lunch. Very accomodating to our requests. Cleaned-up thoroughly each evening before leaving, with particular attention to our hardwood floors.

Edwin was not the lowest priced contractor, but he was licensed and insured, and the lower priced options were not. He replace a substantial amount of rotting trim boards and sanded, primed and painted the remaining wood trim. The job required a large amount of carpentry work, and it was all completed to my satisfaction. He was prompt in his arrival times and courteous in all of our interactions.

Edwin and his crew did a great job - true professionals. Our house had gone 8 yrs without painting so it really needed it. Edwin and his painters sanded and caulked all the trim as necessary and around the front and back entrances brushed on the painted rather than rolling. The end result was outstanding - everything looked brand new again. Would highly recommend Edwin to others.

Very plesant workers running a family owned business and living in South Riding. 2-3 workers over the course of 11 hours. Clean and professional. Great experience.

I was up front about having two more estimates coming in. I was asked for a prompt decision. I indicated that it would be made as soon as I had all of the quotes. I received a follow-up call just minutes after receiving the final quote. I indicated that I needed to discuss it with my husband and determine when to schedule the painting. Edwin called back the next morning and I indicated we went with another contractor due to price and was very shocked when the reaction was abrasive and indignant. They asked what price I got and it was much lower than their quote. I was told that my contractor probably wasn't licensed, that I would probably get poor quality, etc. etc.
You don't get business from me by assuming that I don't know what I'm doing. I knew what I was doing. It just happened to be that the painter was finishing up for a neighbor, had an open time in his schedule that he wanted to fill (to get income), so he came in aggressive on the quote to save himself time/resources. His schedules and our matched perfectly for the particular work we needed done at that time.
We had intended to have Edwin perhaps do future paint jobs that we had quoted at the same time as they did in fact come on the low side for those other rooms and we were a bit more fussy about the quality for those rooms. However, the interaction I had has made it very difficult for me to consider them at this time. Which is sad as they are very highly praised in our neighborhood.

Every single time Edwin has come to our house we have been extremely pleased. The work is exceptional, the painters are friendly, professional and punctual, and overall they are very easy to work with.
We rated them a B in price because they tend to be pricier than other painters; however, the QUALITY of work is well worth this little bit of extra money!!

Price for the service provided was an exceptional value. More work was provided that originally contracted for, especially the outside trim of the town house had to be replaced in many places due to rotting wood.

It went great!

Gave an estimate to do the work including replacement of several pieces of wood. Came back later to say there were several other pieces of wood that needed to be replaced with significant increase in price for the job. Job interrupted by rain. Overall price seemed to be high for the work done.

We explained we needed interior painting done for 3 rooms. He proceeded to tell us what he thought was wrong with the outside of the home. We explained we were starting with the inside of the home and he then said "Go" and motioned for us to move out of his way. We attempted to inform him which 3 rooms needed painting completed; however, each time he would cut us off and point to another area that we told him did not need to be painted. When we would try and answer his questions and re-direct him to what needed to be painted, he would then talk louder and make comments about the outside of our home. We nicely walked him to the door and he said "you need to call me and tell me when you want me to come here and paint". We explained that he had not told us a price and what the price would include and he said "$2,900" for the hallway (he forgot that we wanted 3 rooms painted and no hallway). He then repeated several times that we needed to call him to tell him when he should come back.

They were a little bit more expensive than I thought they would be. They answer their phone quickly; they arrived when they said they would. They provide an exceptional service. They are very courteous and they clean everything up.

Edwin's Painting Company did the best painting job that we have ever received. They showed up on time, were extremely courteous, and careful. They picked up after themselves, vacuuming when the work was done. They splattered no paint and really paid attention to the detail. They are not inexpensive, but they are so worth it! It is so much better to get it done right!
