All in all, it was a good move. The employees worked hard and were eager to please. My furniture arrived on time. Unfortunately, the move was complicated by a snowstorm and a mover who became quite ill during our long distance move. There were definitely a few rough spots, and the slow and terse responses from one person initially made me angry. However, my complaints eventually made it to Gabriel, the owner of American Moving. Gabriel was genuinely concerned about my issues and feelings. He addressed each issue (no matter how small) with compassion for both myself and his hard-working employees. Best of all, he used my complaints as a tool for improving American's processes. I am satisfied with the owner's response, and feel that his company is the better for having encountered and over-coming our challenges. I now feel comfortable recommending American Moving for your move, whether it's across town or across the state. Gabriel is an honorable person and owner, and he will make sure your move is done right. I would give the move 4 stars out of 5.

Great experience from start to finish. No problems at all. Moves can be horrendous, they made it almost pleasant. No small feat!

Mike and his crew did a wonderful job for us. It was a 2 day job and we had weather issues to deal with but they hung in there and were great. We would highly recommend them. They even helped us in dealing with our washer and dryer which did not fit in the laundry room. My thanks to American Moving & Storage! You guys are the best!

I had a great experience with this moving company. They communicate well, show up when they are supposed to, and the crew is completely professional and know what they are doing. They really know how to load a truck to maximize the load. I would hire them again in a second.

Owner, Mike is great, easy to talk to, worked with us. Was great. Movers were so nice, polite, worked so hard and just great.

The team was on time (actually early!) and were very efficient, even plastic wrapping my coffee table and couch. They taped up boxes for me and were patient about that. The team was friendly and worked hard. They got my stuff moved out and in my new place in three hours.

Mike and his team were great to work with. They worked hard and completed the move in the time estimated. They even worked around another contractor (finishing painting) and agreed to work on a holiday! Labor Day no less. I was happy with their service and would choose them again for a local move.

The team was efficient and friendly. They worked hard and did not waste time to try and run up the bill. Mike checked in with me the day before, the morning of and the evening after - which made me feel really well taken care of!

Mike and his team was wonderful to work with - they were accommodating, professional, and courteous. The team arrived as scheduled and moved me in just about three hours (two bed condo, minimum transportation time between locations). I would, and did, hire them again - they emptied my storage container on a later date, and did so on my schedule, even squeezing me in at the end of a long day. I'm very grateful for the work American Moving & Storage completed, and happy to have found them.

Working with Mike was great as he was very personable and accommodating. He also helped me with an extra last minute request and amending a negative situation. However be prepared for the final invoice being significantly higher then the quote given. The add ons like boxes and packing paper and therefore boxes used obviously make it higher. My issue with this is that the packers unnecessarily used a ridiculous amount of paper. Plastic tupperware containers had 2 whole sheets of paper around them and more in the layering. I pulled out a mountain of paper from each box they packed. I had packed a box of my good crystal glassware with one sheet around each glass and not one was broken. I understand they have to be careful, but they went overboard. Also 1 of the packers was quite rude and got angry with me when HE had misunderstood something. Not acceptable. At the new location there were several areas (like the garage and my closet) where they merely dumped a whole lot of loose items on top of each other in one big pile. They should have asked me where those things go and not seemingly thrown them in a pile in the corner. I did take pictures to show to Mike. I was happy with the overall experience, but these are some areas that need to be improved upon.

I have used this company twice in recent years and they are constantly professional, friendly and prompt. They do a marvelous job when handling large items and are equally careful when packing and handling breakables. Highly recommended.

This is an "Old School" family owned business that values traditions like customer service and fair business practices. The President of the Company was involved with every aspect of our move to ensure everything went smoothly. It did! But I still never want to move again! The movers arrived promptly and were very efficient. They took great care with my heavy, expensive furniture. When the elevator broke down and they had to move items down 3 flights of stairs they did not miss a beat. I am very happy with the service and results.

Mike, the owner of the business, personally provided the quote to us. They were able move our property, including packing all our dishware, at a reasonable price. The movers were professional and worked well as a team. We are very pleased we used Mike's company for our move into our new home.

At the estimate session Mike provided detailed information of what to expect before and at the time of moving. He fully explained the whole process and followed up with calls to make sure we're still keeping the date. The moving team, led by Alex, arrived on time and began to go to work. They moved everything we've packed, retapping some of them as needed. The team moved everything and unloaded them at our new home. Nothing was broken or damaged or lost and no damage to either house even though this move included a treadmill that's difficult to get in our new home because of the door size plus 2 exercise bikes. They finished on time as promised and the final price was very close to the quote.

We used American Moving and Storage on our recent move. We were extremely happy with the experience. The crew was careful, timely, and efficient. They took great care of all of our furniture (which included some very old and fragile pieces). All of our items arrived at the new home in perfect condition, and they took great care in protecting the floors and walls on both ends of the move. We highly recommend American Moving and Storage to anyone and will use them again in the future.

The gentlemen they sent were excellent! They were on time and knew what they were doing. They worked very well as a team. They were careful with my furniture and didn't break anything. I put everything in storage and will use them again when I need to move in.

Estimate hourly amount was $20 more per hour than at time of payment. Got straightened out and lowered below estimate price. Make sure you have estimate price with you at time of payment. I can't say enough good things about the three movers, they were excellent, professional, friendly, hard workers and respectful.
