L & M Appliance Service

We contacted Buddy at Land M Appliance Services on Tuesday morning at 9:15 am and left a message. He called back within the hour. He advised us he could be out between 11 am and 1 pm. He called right before he arrived at approximately 11 am. He had our oven working within the hour.

This is the second time we have used Buddy and Land M Appliance Services. The previous time he worked on our dishwasher and also did a wonderful job. Both times, Buddy provided us with great service and professional repairs. He gives us an honest appraisal of the job that needs to be done, particularly in light of the age of the appliance he is working on. The charges have been fair for the work he has done.

Called Buddy on Monday and made the appointment for the next afternoon. On Tuesday, Buddy called me to tell me he was on his way and he and his son arrived about 10 minutes later. Based on my telephone description of the problem, Buddy had the replacement parts for several possible causes. He disassembled the washer, located the broken part, replaced it, and checked the washer for correct operation.

Buddy is a VERY nice guy who really knows his appliances. He was responsive, professional, and thorough. With a 20 year old washer and dryer, I suspect I'll be seeing Buddy a bit more frequently.

I called Land M over a holiday weekend to schedule a repair for my electric wall oven. Left a message expecting to hear back when the work week started. Instead, the owner called over the weekend to let me know that he did not perform services in my area, but recommended another company (also highly rated on Angie's List) that does.

They are just great. I don't remember how much I spent. I know that we did not spend a lot of money. It was not much as I thought it was going to be. I thought that I would have to replace something expensive or replace the whole thing. He fixed the problem and he even vacuumed everything up behind the drier. He did the same thing for my brother's drier who was also having the same problem. I liked him a lot. I think he might be the owner but I'm not positive. I would absolutely use his services again in the future.

He was very good and is a one man show. He is really good at what he does. He shows up on time and fixed the stuff. He is actually very inexpensive.

Today Buddy (the owner) came to fix my dishwasher. I scheduled an appointment, and on the day we agreed, he called before coming to verify I was there. He was right on time, as usual. He was professional, courteous, and fixed the problem within 5 minutes. He then ran a few cycles quickly to be sure I didn't have another problem with the dishwasher. I have used him many times over the years, (e.g., for problems with my washer, dryer, and now the dishwasher), and he never ceases to amaze me. He is professional and very good at quickly finding the problem and getting to the resolution. He is my first choice in appliance repair, and I highly recommend him.

Our 20-year old washer in Reston quit spinning and draining. L&M was here within 3 hours of a phone call. The washer was fixed within an hour. Amazing service. If other repair facilities could be this good, it would be great.

The dryer drum didn't spin, but you could hear the motor running. Since the dryer was 20 years old we thought it might be better to just get a new one, but after investigating options through a number of consumer rating sources we decided to look into repair. Found L&M as a recommended service provider for Whirlpool dryers. Called and left a message at 9:06 and were called back very quickly. Turns out that Buddy was on his way to another repair call less than two miles from us and from my description of the problem he determined that our service would be a quick call and he would fit us in. After finishing his other called he arrived. He walked in the door carrying the parts he thought he would need and after a quick check gave me a diagnosis and price. Bottom line, by 10:30 our dryer was repaired - and he vacuumed inside to clean up a long accumulation of lint. Professional, direct, knowledgeable - a real find if you want to keep your older equipment operating. I would use him again in a heartbeat for any appliance he services.

They gave me an estimate and it came in over the estimate but I was satisfied with their work. They cleaned up after themselves well.
