While putzing about on the roof clearing leaves from the gutters, I noticed that the pipe collar around a bathroom vent pipe was dried, cracked, and had pulled away from the pipe, thus allowing water free entry. I called Glenn at Falcon Roofing and he and his associate Billy came out within a couple of days to take a look. Glenn asked me a few questions about the house and roof, then he and Billy went up to examine the situation. They came down with pictures of cracked, broken, and missing shingles, along with images of nail pop-ups. Additionally, Glenn showed me a weak spot in the roof that was visible by me from the ground. He told me that he could make the repair to the collar and tighten up the roof here and there, but that a new roof was in my future. He didn't push, but gave me his opinion and explained the spots where water was already able to get through. The repairs would be a bit under 10% of the cost to replace the roof. The roof was about 20 years old, and who needs/wants a leaky and weak roof? (To be honest, I was pretty sure we needed a new roof before I called him, but didn't want to admit it!) We gave Glenn the go ahead. Glenn and his crew arrived less than two weeks later, pushed back about a half week due to weather. They showed up at 8:00 AM and put tarps over our shrubbery and deck, and went right to work. Long story short, they were done by 5:30 PM. In addition to re-shingling, they replaced three sheets of plywood and 60 feet of plank board. Additionally, they replaced the flashing on our chimney, which was pretty much useless prior. When the job was completed, Glenn and his men walked the driveway and the yard with a large pole-mounted magnet to catch any nails that might have gone astray. Both Glenn and Billy were friendly, helpful, and extremely professional. They have my very highest recommendation.

Inspection was performed on roof at a new home recently purchased. Staff was on-time and came ready to work, even though it was a rainy , miserable day. I was impressed that they did not cancel due to weather. They did a complete inspection and reviewed results with me. Took extra time to explain my roof construction. They discussed issues to look for and helped me plan for the future. The noticed issues with my chimney, pointed out the problems and even made recommendations on how to repair the chimney. Falcon is the only place I will call for my roofing issues.

On November 8, 2012 I spoke with Glenn Schrank (not sure of spelling of last name) of Falcon Roofing, requesting an estimate to repair my roof after Hurricane Sandy damaged it. Glenn said the company is very busy, and would not schedule an appointment with me to look at our roof - he would come by to look at it when he could fit it in. I said either my husband or I would like to be at the house to discuss the roof with him when he visits. He repeated that they are just too busy to make appointments. I asked how long it would be before he came out - he said since he is out of Burke, VA and we are in West Springfield, it is very close so he could fit it in probably within several days. I said if he could give me a couple hours notice, I would like to depart work & commute home, to meet him there. He said he could give, at max, 30 minutes notice. This is not enough time for me, as my commute is 90 minutes each way. So we agreed that he would come by the house and inspect the roof at a time of his own choosing, and give us an estimate. I stated what work we thought we were looking to have done. He said he would get back to me in a few days. He was gruff, and seemed in a hurry. I was willing to give this company a chance since they came highly rated on Angie's List, but I never heard back from anyone at Falcon Roofing. I guess they really are too busy. The bottom line fact, not addressed in the response from Falcon Roofing, is that Glenn promised me an estimate to repair our roof, and then NEVER gave one.

Desscription of deals need to be more clear.

The contractor was prompt and knowledgeable. They worked around my schedule and provided the service that they promised.

I called Falcon Roofing to set up an appointment and described my issue. He advised that the coupon didn't cover my issue and explained what type of service I would need. I really appreciated his honesty and I now have the work set up to be done by another company.

Falcon Roofing was very quick to reply and made an extra effort to stop over to inspect my roof after severe damage was done from a strong storm after their normal business hours. They were able to put up a temporary patch before another storm was approaching the next day. Materials were ordered and once received Falcon Roofing was able to complete the repairs. Additionally work was done to replace the corner post on my chimney since they were ripped off be the wind storm. I believe that the work done was even stronger and more durable then the previous work that was done years ago.

Everything went as expected. The technician preformed a good roof inspection and completed minor maintenance.

I was very pleased with their work. Not only did they do their job effectively, they took pictures of a couple of problems that required a carpenter's repair. They emailed me the pictures which I showed the carpenter and was able to have an informed discussion regarding the necessary world.

Service was good and as described in deal. They answered all of my questions. I would recommend.

We have a slate roof and we called Falcon for an estimate to repair our slate roof that had been damaged in the recent storms. They promptly called us back and were able to come by to give us an estimate very quickly. Their responsiveness far exceeded the other 4 roofing companies we called. They were very thorough when they provided the estimate and due to the extensive damage to our slate, they put on a new roof. They fully explained the process, our options, and their pricing was competitive. They were able to install the roof within a couple of weeks. The workers were professional and cleaned up everything the day of the installation. The roof looks great and we're very happy with the final product and our overall experience with Falcon.

Glenn did a great job explaining the issues found from checking our roof, and he made recommendations for how to correct them. We needed some areas patched, a new attic fan, and a new chimney crown, so there was an additional cost of $1355 beyond the $149 roof maintenance package cost. During hurricane Sandy, we had leaks in both our attic and a fireplace (different fireplace from the one that had the new chimney crown). We immediately called Glenn to get in his queue, and a few days after Sandy passed Glenn came to take a look. He found that our roof vent needed to be replaced (was improperly installed) and there were cracks in the chimney crown of this second fireplace. Glenn and Billie made some short-term fixes to avoid us getting leaks from the rain that was expected the next day, then they were back within a week to complete the repairs. Cost was $2135.

It was easy to schedule our maintenance check even though we bought a big deal and I know that Glenn was quite busy. Glenn and his assistant came on time and got right to work. They were professional and considerate. We have had issues with our roof over the years and had a replacement about 10 years ago and then had to have some special work done to avoid leaks in heavy rains. They found a couple of areas that needed attention, but told me that overall it was in good shape for its age. They took photos of the areas they needed to caulk and explained what they did. I had a few general questions once they finished and Glenn answered them thoroughly and I felt like we were in good shape for at least a few more years.

d. They did not attempt to sell me anything that I did not require or need. The appointment was scheduled at the first contact. I was called several days prior to my visit as a reminder. Falcon showed up as scheduled even in the rain. They asked if I had any concerns and followed up with an assessment. They were personable and provided me with the information I needed. I would call them in the future if I have a roofing issue.

My roof needed the flashing caulked, so I used Falcon Roofing's coupon on Angie's list and scheduled an appointment. They arrived on time, did a complete roof inspection and found several openings in the existing caulking and several loose shingles. They re-caulked all the flashing on the roof and reattached the loose shingles. When it's time for a new roof, I shall definitely call Falcon Roofing.

I called up Falcon Roofing to get an estimate from some storm damage. They stated they were in my area and came by to take a look the same day. They called ahead to let me know they were on the way and showed up on time. They looked at my roof and noted that only a few shingles had blown away and they said they would fix it right then and there free of cost. I offered to give them something for their time, but they refused. It was a quick 20 min job, but most companies would have charged me something. They told me that all they wanted was for me to think of them next time I needed a new roof. They were very professional and courteous. I would definitely use them the next time

Everything went fine. They showed up on time explained what they were going to do. When finisehed they showed me pictures of the roof and what needed to be done in the future. They were

Called to ask if they could stop by a day early, since they were in the area. Two servicemen showed up within an hour, asked a few questions about the age of the house/roof, etc., and explained what they would try to do if they can replace the blown-off shingles. They then spent about 20-30 minutes on the roof on what seemed like a very thorough inspection. They were able to repair the missing shingles, and also made other minor repairs (e.g., sealing flues) while they were there. Afterwards, they gave me a thorough description of the type of roof we have and its advantages and disadvantages, and an estimate of cost and timeframe for future replacement (it is currently in good shape at 13 years old). They were very professional. Since we plan to be in this house for a long time, we will use them to replace the roof when the time comes.

All went very smooth... start to finish. We had a piece of our ridge vent come off due to the storm. When I first inquired to the company, Glenn was relatively nearby and offered to come assess the situation that same afternoon, especially since we were due to have heavy rain that night. He came, took pictures, put a temporary piece up and gave me a price. What impressed me was that he told me to call him when we decided how we wanted to proceed. Honestly, he didn't know if I would bail on him and either use another company or settle for a temporary solution. He did what needed to be done. Of course, I ended up using his services. He came yesterday to do the permanent fix with a piece that matched our color scheme. He and his partner are wonderful, honest people to do business with. I would have no question as to using them in any future needs.

Falcon inspected my roof, performed minor repair work, and discussed possible future work with me - based on questions I asked. I am highly satisfied with this company.
