Child Care - Center
$210
This is the poorest excuse for a child care facility I have ever seen.  My son only attended for 3 months, but the list of issues is exhausting!  PLEASE review the list of violations this facility has on the states website BEFORE enrolling your child.  Here are some issues we had (the most major ones)
*My son caught pink eye, and no one called me for over TWO HOURS to come get him.  His "teacher" was calling me as I walked in and she was about to take the kids outside (so my son was exposing his whole class) and said "Oh I guess I should have called you sooner".  No notice of contagious disease was ever posted per state licensing laws, and it was only when 4 other kids went home with pink eye was I informed that "we are going to sanitize everything now" by the owner. (owners excuse for not calling was that they didnt KNOW that the green mucous POURING from my sons eye meant he had pink eye)
*My son started potty training, but we were told (falsely, and I told them this) that he had to only go every 2 hours in order to "be ready to potty train".  This is completely false, but never the less they only will take them to go to the potty, or change their diapers every two hours.
*They didnt change my sons pull ups but every two hours, leaving him gaulded, even though I provided the "easier" pull ups that THEY requested. (of which the owner says is ok)
                            * They didnt wipe my son well after a bowel movement, then didnt change again for over 2 hours, leaving him gaulded and raw. (the owners excuse here was that the person wiping him was a trainee, young and didnt "know better")
*Their "playground" equipment is rusted, splintered and has peeling paint (owners excuse is that everything was up to code, but clearly isnt)
*My son came home covered in bleach.  YES YOU READ RIGHT.  His shirt was bleached all on the back.  When I called the daycare (as soon as we got home) the "teacher" who did it said she HAD to wipe the table down because their was a blow out and "thought" it was dry.  (the owners excuse:  she bleached the changing table 1hr before laying my child down)
*I have never seen the teachers PLAYING or INTERACTING with the children.  Every time they are either gossiping amongst themselves, or sitting down on their phones.  These kids are desperate for attention, and I would play with them when I picked up my son.
*This daycare doesnt provide enough food for the children.  They claim to be USDA certified, but had that revoked because they were not providing adequate sized meals.  My son was ALWAYS hungry upon pickup, and I witnessed one lunch where there was BARELY enough food to go around, let alone for kids to have seconds, as per state licensing law (owners excuse: Their food provider shorted them that day).  Snacks are no better, most times just a cracker, and a small glass of water.
*My son is a special needs child, so we pay the daycare extra, I paid all but $26 of my total, and when he was unenrolled, the owner asked for an entire month (the month of may).  I told her I payed all but $26, and had the receipt and she said that they couldnt find the receipt for my transaction.  KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS!!!!!  She will try to force you to pay double.
I reported this facility to the state, and after my son was removed they were investigated.  The owner, Sharon, called me to confront me (the licensing person did it anonymously, even though I didnt care if she used my name) and was very aggressive.
Use EXTREME caution when dealing with this provider.  Sharon is simply out to make money and excuses, all the while cutting corners and neglecting children.
