Everyone I dealt with from this company was prompt, thorough, and super friendly.  I was not charged for either inspection, though follow-on termite inspections cost $75 on a yearly basis.  I went ahead and signed up for a yard treatment service at an intial cost of $118 and follow-on payments of $55 per month for a contract period of one year (continuing until I call to cancel).  This seems kind of pricey, but it will be worth it if it keeps the mosquitoes away this year.  And I really couldn't beat it after the great free service I received up to this point.
This company is a pleasure to deal with. I used Angie's List to find them, and I hope this review helps someone else make the same decision I did.

My experience with Loyal was fantastic.  Tony arrived at the house to do the inspection and did a terrific job explaining what he found and providing recommendations for treatment.  Drew arrived to do the treatment when he was supposed to and did a good job of cleaning up after the work was completed.

While getting the exterior of the house painted, the painters discovered pest damage from carpenter bees in some of the woodwork. Once the painting was complete, we called Loyal so we could find out if we had an active problem. The worker who came out was almost ridiculously pleasant -- and I mean that in the best way. Just very friendly without being overbearing. He was also very efficient in checking out the house (including basement and attic). He found no current activity, which a year later still holds true. We do, however, now have a potential carpenter ant problem in the garage -- but we know just who to call!

We started using Loyal Termite and Pest in September or October 2013.  The first service was fine and as expected.  The next scheduled service was for December 2013.  I received a postcard in the mail confirming the service was scheduled for December 2013.  To get a better idea of exactly when the service would be taking place, I gave them a call.  I was told that we would be receiving service on December 30, 2013.  They never showed and I was never billed for this "scheduled service".  In late February/early March 2014, I received another postcard in the mail confirming that my quarterly service was scheduled for March.  I didn't call this time.  I received a bill for $90 on April 7, 2014, for services performed on March 24, 2014.  There was no indication that they had even been to my house, let alone performed pest control services.  No document providing details of the services rendered was found at my home and no indication of any treatment could be found (during the first visit they used granules that could clearly be seen around the perimeter of the house).  I called the office to inquire whether it was standard practice to leave a note detailing the services performed.  They told me that it was and that the wind must have blown it away.  They stated that they would send me a copy of the document in the mail.  I am inclined to believe that the document they send me is being created as I write this review.   I requested that all future services for my home be cancelled ? luckily I wasn?t under contract.  I will not be using them in the future.

UPDATE:  After I submitted my original review, Gina from Loyal Termite and Pest contacted me.  Gina expressed her sincere regret for the company's failure to meet my expectiations and offered some remedies for the past performance of the company (which included comping the March 2014 treatment for which I never received a service call sheet).  After some consideration, we decided to give Loyal Termite and Pest another chance.
Response from Loyal Termite & Pest Control Inc

"Were so sorry this happened, we would like to offer you you a free treatment. Please call the office and ask for Nick Lupini. Thanks for any consideration."

Loyal did my termite inspection when I bought my house and said there was no evidence of prior termite activity, which is rare for my neighborhood. A few years later, I found a suspicious flying bug and they came out, took one look and determined it was an ant. That visit was free.
I have a project set up to get my crawl space encapsulated, so I called for another inspection while the old insulation was down and before the new liner was installed. This inspection cost $75 since I had gotten a free visit to check out the suspected termite carcass.
The technician performed a thorough inspection and said there was no evidence of termites, but he recommended a proactive treatment, which would cost $597 and consist of trenching and liquid treatment as would be done if they had found evidence. This was recommended as a preventive option to avoid having to remove the liner if there were future activity, and the technician advised that this would last 10-15 years.
I called around and found that another company's price for the same treatment would be over $100 more, so this seemed like a reasonable price. However, using the Q&A feature on Angie's List, I learned that if there's no evidence of damage, only an exterior treatment is strictly needed. Another company I had called had a program where if you have a clean inspection, they will do an exterior granular treatment and warranty against termite damage for one year for $133. I decided to go for that instead of the full liquid treatment from Loyal.
When the technician from the other company performed the inspection, he agreed that there was no evidence of prior termite activity, and he told me that there were multiple sets of holes drilled in the block foundation, indicating that a proactive termite treatment had been done at least twice in the past. This made me feel better about my decision not to do the full preventive treatment for $597.
Loyal was very professional to work with, but in the end I didn't like their philosophy of recommending a full treatment. I especially would not have gone for that if I had known that it had been done previously based on the drilled holes. Their price was good for the work they recommended, I just didn't agree with their philosophy.
Response from Loyal Termite & Pest Control Inc

"We sorry you decided to go with someone else, but we feel obligated to let you know, that there is no granular treatment for termites. We provided you what we thought was the best solution since you are conditioning your crawl space. Once this is done, you will never be able to have a proper inspection or treatment done."

Someone called me back from Loyal Termite & Pest Control to explain their different options and I was able to schedule a contractor to come to our house the next day.  Cory called to let us know he was on his way.  Seemed very knowledgable about pest control.  Hopefully our ants go away! I received an offer in the mail for a annual pest control program from another company for slightly less money, but I went with Loyal Termite & Pest Control because of their high ratings and Angie's List and because they could come out the very next day.

The Loyal representative showed up at the specified time and called when he was on his way as promised. He did a very good job of explaining what he would be doing and did a very through job. I was very happy with the results and will likely sign a quarterly agreement with them. The price was as discussed.

First job: Loyal has done this for us for six years. The inspections are thorough and meticulous. Second job: Loyal has done our quarterly inspections in a very thorough manner. They will return at any time that pests are have been noticed by us, inside or outside the home. Loyal personnel are a pleasure to deal with.

I needed yellow jacket nest destroyed. The ONLY part not handled according to my request was their approaching the house. The nest was away from the house, and I told them exactly where to find it and specifically asked them to NOT go near the house, but they did anyway. Oh well. I got what I wanted: the nest destroyed.

During the visit, they also removed spider webs from the perimeter of the house - even in areas they did not treat.

I was very pleased with all aspects of the service, from initial contact over the phone to the last service provided.  At no time did I feel in the dark about any of the work.  Termite trails and termite damage were noted during the inspection.  The initial inspection and recommendations set the stage for services to be provided on two separate contiguous days.    The termite treatment was done for my detached garage and shed on the first day.  Initial bug treatment was done the second day for the house.  In both cases, these were no casual treatments.  Many holes were bored through concrete and brick for the garage termite treatment.  The initial bug treatment called for massive treatment in the crawl space and spraying inside the house and attic.  We could observe the results later in the form of several dead bugs, which had crawled out for their last breath.  The termite treatment is warrantied, and I can continue the warranty at the end of the year for an extra fee.  I am on a quarterly plan for the bug treatment.  The house will be treated each quarter with payment due at that time.  The quarterly payments are $75.  It will be worth it, since we have been plagued with spider crickets under the house.  They often get into the house through small openings.  Included in that treatment will be termite monitoring.  I was very pleased with the promptness, professionalism and quality of work.
