M.C. Fence and Deck

They were very responsive and timely in providing an estimate for the work, which was within a day after I called.  After comparing with other fence companies, I scheduled the work to be completed as soon as possible because our dog had started escaping daily.  The first part of the work was completed  on a Saturday and within 4 days of the estimate.  They initially estimated that the work would be completed within 7 days. 
Instead of installing some wood posts that were defective from the lumber yard, they came back and finished the work on the next business day.  The fence was ultimately fully completed earlier than we expected.  The dog has tested it and can no longer jump the fence at the gate.  We'll have them come back later and replace the entire backyard fence, which will be an additional 238' of fencing.  Will definitiely use again.

Matt returned our initial phone call promptly and came out within two days to do a thorough estimate. He pointed out the code problems with the old deck, and explained what he would do to correct them. He made several recommendations for how to make the garden enclosure squirrel proof. He provided us with comprehensive written estimates for both parts of the project. 
The crews started work in less than a week, and once they started, they showed up every day. Both projects were done within a week. We didn't even have to move our grill and furniture off the deck, the crew did it. They were professional and polite and took time to respond to my husband's questions. Throughout the process, Matt was very responsive to phone calls. 
A couple of days after the work was completed, I noticed that I still had squirrels getting into my garden. Upon inspection, I discovered that the fence had been built leaving large gaps between the ground and the fence foundation all around the perimeter. Since the estimate had stated "Mesh tight to ground!" we called Matt. He dispatched a crew within two days to fix the problem. They plugged the gaps using a combination of treated boards and mesh dug into the ground. The crew chief also gave us some tips on ways to deal with what would be inevitable settling over time. 
The one critique I have is that the onsite supervision was a tad lax. For example, it seems like a fairly large omission for a contract to state that the mesh would be tight to the ground, then build the fence with large gaping holes around the perimeter. Another example is that when the crews finished, they did not replace the deck furniture and our heavy grill as Matt had said they would before they left. It was two days before they came back to finish that part. In both instances, though, Matt was extremely responsive to phone calls, and it worked out. Both the deck and the garden fence enclosure are solid, well built, and beautiful. 
All in all, this was an excellent experience, and we would use MC Fence again as well as recommend them.

The company was very responsive to my call for a quote. We recently moved to the area and were not able to bring our dog until the fence was installed so I was anxious for the work to be performed. Matt came out and walked the property with me and suggested a line for the back of the property where there were a number of trees. He indicated that the project could be completed within days. However, I needed to obtain the proper approvals from the HOA. Matt provided a quote that day and was kind enough to mark up my copy of the plat with the details of the fence and provided a picture for me to submit to the HOA. He also made arrangements for Miss Utility to come out and mark the yard. This was all BEFORE I committed to having the work done by MC Fence. I received a visit and a quote from another company that was similar in price but I was impressed with the service i received from Matt. I did have some additional questions about how the fence would be lined up along the back and Matt offered to come back out and pull a line so it was clear to me. I appreciated that extra effort and that he walked me through completing the paperwork for HOA approval. Im pleased to say I had no problems getting approved. The fence was scheduled to be installed Saturday morning (materials were dropped off Friday afternoon) and the team arrived as scheduled. Matt was on site at the beginning of the day to get everything started. The crew was professional and ask me for clarification on the placement of the single gate which I appreciated. The fence was installed beautifully in one day. The lines look great and I couldn't be more pleased. Mike came by on Tuesday to inspect the fence and make sure everything was to my expectations. I highly recommend MC Fence and Deck.

Matt came out and gave us a great estimate and built out ideal deck. The customer service was great and we would definitely recommend their work.

It went great. Matt was very professional. He gave us a good price and even came out a second time after we made a change in layout. His team came out when they said they would. It took a bit longer then they thought but it wasn't a problem. The fence gorgeous! We are so pleased it. Many neighbors have stopped and said how much they like it.

MC Fence and Deck did a fantastic job installing a cedar fence for our home. From the moment I called to schedule an estimate to the day the fence was installed, I felt as though I was their most important customer.  Matt was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable about the type of fence we wanted. He always showed up on time and was available to address our questions and concerns.  As soon as we were happy with the estimate Matt scheduled the install within the week, which he was present for to ensure the fence was done to spec.  Exceptional Service with a very fast turnaround for delivery.  Highly recommended company.

Fence:
All the materials showed up just a couple days before work began.  On the day of the job, we reviewed the fencing layout one last time and I pointed out sprinkler heads and other cabling that might interfere.  I had asked that if something is cut, just to please let me know so that I could get it repaired.. (nothing was damaged during the install).  The crew got busy and had our fence installed in around four hours.  90% of it I'm pleased with, if I had any gripes it'd be that they just stacked up all the rocks from the posts at the base of the fence and they installed the pickets by 'eye ball' causing some very noticeable misalignment that I'll have to fix later.
Deck:
Had a couple guys just show up and walk around back to observe the fence, no warning or anything... surprised and startled my wife a bit.  I spoke to them about the job and they took some pictures of the two decks and stairs, then said they'd get started on Tuesday since Monday was Memorial Day.  Come Memorial Day my wife again is surprised by two guys that start unloading equipment into the back yard - I walked out to see the same two guys and reminded them that work was supposed to start on Tuesday as agreed.  We were entertaining that day due to the holiday, so no work could get started; I had them return on Tuesday.  Tuesday arrived, they showed up and power washed everything down... Tuesday night we had a bad storm, so I figured they'd stain a couple days later.  However, arriving home from work on Wednesday all of the decking and stairs was stained.
Now that it's been a couple days, I've noticed large spots of dead grass around my deck in my back yard from the deck guys equipment.  I'm just a bit annoyed that again there is something that needs to be fixed, besides re-aligning some pickets.  I don't think a 'B' is bad, that job was completed on time for a good price - just it's not 100%.
I wasn't necessarily looking for the cheapest contractor, just looking for one company that could do both jobs - next time, I'll put more effort into gathering more estimates.  I was recently burnt by another contractor that forced me to rush this job, never do that.

We love our fence and stairs. We worked with Matt and he was true to his word --they did a great job with top materials. Our neighbors loved our fence so much they put one in too with MC Fence and Deck. They gave us good price and honored the price from quote to finish. The wood they used was far superior to what the builder had put up on other homes in our area. They put the fence up in one day and cleaned up after themselves. They were so great to work with that we plan to have them put a deck for us soon.

MC fence builds a great product. The crew was on time, and worked fast.Prior to starting work ,the crew put stakes at the edges of our property and ran a string down to each one. We opted to build right inside of the property line, and we could visualize where everything was going to end up that way. Any questions or concerns were answered prior to them starting. They were done in one afternoon and cleaned their mess before they left. Matt and Mike both came by at various times during the day to check on things, and followed up with a phone call the next day to make sure we were happy. I would recommend them to absolutely anyone who asks, and would not hesitate to use them again if the need ever arises.

Material arrived promptly, day of install workers arrived on time and took extra time with me to verify all the sprinkler head locations. They were very thorough and after 8 hrs I had a beautiful board on board privacy fence with two gates. No stress installation, everything went very smoothly due to their diligence Would highly recommend !!!

The crew did a nice job.  They took down my old chain link fence and hauled it away. Then the next step was to locate the 4" x 4" posts making sure they were level.  They installed the stringers making sure they followed the lay of the land.  This is a wooden fence with a shadow box design.  They installed the boards on the outside of my yard making sure to take care of my plants and my neighbors plants.  I have a lot of flowers around the perimeter of my backyard and they were careful not to harm them.  When the job was completed they cleaned up everything nicely.  My fence looks great!
