Potomac River Running

The associate was very professional did a good job evaluating my running style. He gave me three pairs of shoes to try on based on those results. He checked to see if my longest toe had enough space to keep it from hitting the front the shoe. I purchased the shoes. That evening I ran on the treadmill. I usually run about four miles, but by mile 3 I started feeling a blister on the side of my foot right below big toe. The shoes were too tight. Also, my two longest toes didn't have enough space to keep them from hitting the front of the shoe and were sore. In their defense, I went to the store in midday and I run in the evenings when my feet are probably larger. They were also very nice about returning the shoes. My main issue was that the associate should have realized that I didn't have enough room in front of the shoe. 

I would highly recommend Potomac Running. They took their time to fit me for running shoes. They have a special machine to determine how you place your weight on your feet and watch you run on a treadmill. After they determine what shoes will be best for you, they give you several different shoes to try on. They even let me run on the treamill again to figure out which shoe fit the best. I did not have a credit card on me when they fit me for shoes, and let me pick out what I wanted and then return a few days later to pick it up. I also had a problem with my Nike Sports Band and they took it back with no questions. This was all at their Connecticut Avenue store...

They use all the latest technologies and provide very good quality of service. They are also very thorough and know what they are doing. The owner is very humble and everyone else is also very cordial. They have several locations and if they don't have something they would make sure to get it for you. They also have a running program with a coach.
