Our refrigerator stopped cooling two days before we were scheduled to leave for a vacation.  I called another appliance repair company I had used in the past, but they wouldn't be able to send a technician for 2 days, so I called Superior Appliances based on their Angie's List review.  Although there were no appointments available that afternoon, Mr. Farharr agreed to come by at 6:00 pm that evening.

He was able to diagnose the problem immediately but unfortunately, he did not have the parts with him, so he had to come back the next day to complete the repair.  He was fair in price, and I was very happy to have the repair done before we left on vacation.  I will call them first next time I need an appliance repair. 

Ben Farhatt of Superior Appliance Services, LLC ("Superior") scheduled the repair for two days after I called, with a 9 to noon window.  The repair man, Zouhaier, called a half hour before he arrived, in the early part of the window.   Despite an accent, his communication skills were excellent.   He asked what had happened, checked that the drum wouldn't move, pulled the dryer out, removed the top and some of the front, and exposed the problem - a sock and dryer sheet clogging the blower fan. I was curious and wanted to watch, and he was fine with that.  There was some lint inside the dryer, so I got my hand vac and we worked together to vacuum out the lint.  He put everything back and tidied up.  I asked him to check the dryer vent while he was here, and he did.  While he was working, he answered my questions and gave me the benefit of his experience.  He said that with my Samsung dryer, I should avoid large, heavy loads and dry medium loads instead.  He pointed out the area that might break with lots of heavy loads.  Although he works on Samsung dryers, he usually does not work on Samsung washers, because they have two computer boards.  Diagnosis of problems involving the boards requires special software, proprietary to Samsung.  He went to work immediately, worked continuously, answered my questions, and offered relevant information at the same time.  He was polite and quick, but didn't rush.  His professionalism was impressive.  While writing this review, I was reminded that a 10% discount was available, that I forgot to mention to Zouhaier.  I called Mr. Farhatt and he will send me a check for the difference.  Great business.
Note for anyone who owns a Samsung washer or dryer:   I called a few Angie's List ("AL") providers, but they didn't service Samsung washers and dryers, indicated that Samsung certified only a few repairmen, and suggested I contact Samsung directly. My experience in similar situations was frustrating.  Instead, I called the store where we bought the dryer and they gave me the names of four providers who are certified to repair Samsung washers and dryers.  Of those, I called the two with 703 area codes.  Those two had mostly negative reviiews from Yelp; so unfavorable that I'm not sure I checked them on AL.  AL listed several other highly-rated large appliance repair services, and I called the closest one, Superior.

I called on Saturday and was given an appointment on Monday.  If it had been an emergency they would have come sooner. The repairman was very knowledgeable, had the part on hand and fixed it within 30 minutes.  We were given the Angie's List discount. Would definitely use them again for any large appliance repair.  Everyone we dealt with was super pleasant and helpful.

Came out within 2 hours of our call on Sunday.  Called when on his way.  Identified the problem promptly (faulty compressor relay) put in a new compressor relay kit and it is now working.  This was a professional courteous and clearly skilled technician and I AM  saving his card.  If found him on Angie's list - having a 91% A rating - which meant everything in my choise AND Sunday hours!

I contacted Superior Appliance and they came within 20 minutes of my call.  The technician was professional and courteous.  Simple resolution to the issue.  Flapper on duct work outside was stuck closed.  I would definitely contact them again.

I called at 11 am on a Saturday.  The service provider came promptly, as promised, before 1 pm, immediately found the problem and fixed it.  Parts were available on the service truck.

I couldn't have asked for better service.  Ben came out only a few hours after I called.  I had called another company that couldn't even send anyone out for the emergency for 2 weeks.   Ben came out and was able to shut off the water line valve to the fridge.  The water had started leaking bad enough for me to see it, the night before, and was soaking through towels in less than an hour by am.  Ben got the part, and came back the next day to install it.  The company does exactly as they say they will which is very much appreciated.  They come between the hours they say they will, they call 20 minutes before arriving.   The service was good, the repair man was nice and efficient, and the price was reasonable.  They took the Angie's List coupon I had with no problem.   Thanks for the great service!

Superior's repair man showed up right on time and determined that the motor and transmission of our our non-functioning washing machine had burned out.  He advised that it could not be repaired

It went great - email communication was good, as was telephone, gave me a 3-hour window, I asked for a call 30-60 mins out - I got it,  Ben was there within 30, polite, knowledgeable and efficient.  Asked him about estimate for something else - immediately looked it up and gave it too me - no "we'll have to get back to you".  Most important thing to me was he was able to do it in 1 trip unlike another provider who I'd bought my appliance from who said they needed to come out and look at it first even though we knew what the problem was and could give them a part number.

I would use Superior Appliance Services again in a heart beat!

The guys were very professional and seemed very knowledgeable (compared to another guy we had look at the fridge initially).  When a part they were going to replace seemed to be suddenly working the day they were here, they let me make up my own mind about whether or not to replace it anyway, with zero pressure.  They worked quickly and left the area as clean as they found it.  Completely satisfied.

Great. Fast, polite, easy.

Very dissatisfied with this company.  The technician was not
informative, did not explain in advance what the total cost would be,
and did not discuss what other options were available to perform the
repair. The repair involved the replacement of a plastic cover that I
had already screwed off myself. The work involved was ordering the part
and screwing it on.  Maybe a total of 15 minutes in home work. The part
was overpriced at $150 and so was the labor at $189. I will not use them
again.

All of the burners and the oven stopped functioning. I have a handicapped person in the house so the stove is essential. Ben came out on a week end to try to repair the stove. He was get the other burners up and running until the new part came in. He was prompt, courteous and was able to immediately diagnose the problem.  He ordered the part and called me when it came in. He installed it and I have had no problems.
It was a pleasure doing business with Ben. He is careful in his work habits and very professional in his demeanor. His prices are very reasonable. I was able to use an Angie's list coupon. The Sunday service call was $50.00. It was deducted from the total cost which came to $198.00 with parts and labor. 
I will definitely use this company again and I would not hesitate to recommend him to a neighbor.

Service not done because of extent of repair not worth it.

I found Superior Appliance Service through Angie's List. My oven would not shut off and of course this happened in the morning before work!!   When I called Superior, I immediately felt comfortable with them because they were friendly, professional, courteous, and could immediately identify the problem.  They gave me a quote right away and my oven was fixed Saturday morning.  As the technician was working on my oven he noticed that it took the oven over a minute to heat up, which meant my igniter would soon need to be replaced.  He fixed this as well and saved me a future headache.
He was very careful to put cardboard underneath the oven so that when he pulled it out my hardwood floors would not get scratched.  He even waited whiled I cleaned the sides of my oven before pushing it back into place!!  I was delighted by Superior Appliance and definitely received an excellent value for my money.  I would use them again and I have already given their name to a few friends.
Whew I can bake again!

Another bad experience in our service area with Sears prompted us to contact Superior Appliance Services Inc, after reading the glowing reviews on Angie's List.  We were not disappointed!  This company offers a military discount and services Bolling AFB.  Ben, the Manager/Owner, was very courteous and responsive to our call and sent a technician within 2 hours to fix the dryer.   The technician was very professional and quickly isolated the cause and repaired the dryer's inoperable heat.  Superior Appliance Services, Inc. warranties their work and guarantees 100% satisfaction.  Very reasonable -- highly recommend -- will definitely call them again.  Thank you!

Great experience. Our dishwasher clogged over the weekend.  I called Superior Appliance about 7:30 am on Monday morning.  Ben said he would come between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm that day and would call 30 minutes ahead.  He called at 11:00 and in fact showed up at 11:30.  He unclogged the dishwasher and explained everything he was doing and how I could do it in the future. He was friendly, articulate, professional, punctual.  The visit took less than an hour, and he charged $125 which I thought was perfectly reasonable for driving out to our house, diagnosing the correct problem, and then cleaning out disgusting gunk from the nether-regions of our dishwasher.

Ben determined that the fan had stopped working so he fixed that. But he felt that wasn't the only problnem, given that the coolant lines were not cool to the touch. He tested for freon and it was low. He didn't have enough freon so he went to an auto parts store nearby and came back and filled the freon to normal levels. With both the fan and freon working, the refrigerator was as good as new. Ben was helpful and he also explained to me what he was doing and gave me several helpful hints. He was great!
