They had someone out for an estimate the same day we requested one, and they had our new water heater installed a few days later. Overall a great experience.

I replaced this system in 2017 with triangle tube boiler. This company reluctantly did the service until 2020. There is not much money in servicing. I contacted Nick Morales numerous times in 2021 for service, he always promises but never deliver. It is important to maintain service for warranty. I am having difficulty finding someone who specializes in this brand. I told Nick this and asked him to recommend someone if he could not do it. He totally ignored my request.

JM Plumbing & Heating was referred to us by friends of ours that had their A/C system replaced - they recommended JM for their low cost and high quality. In May 2019 we contracted with JM to replace our own A/C system. The work involved replacing all the equipment, changing the location of the inside unit from the middle of the attic floor to under the eves and the condenser from one side of the house to the other, plumbing and installing a whole-house humidifier, and running new duct work through the ceilings. The total job cost $16,150 and was done in two days. We were very pleased with cost and the result – a great value! This month as we refinished the attic around the new unit, we asked JM to come back and reroute a return duct and install a second return. They promptly sent out two technicians who got it done in 6.5 hrs. I have yet to see a final bill for the job, but am sure it will also represent a great value. I highly recommend JM's HVAC work and will use them again myself.

The work went very well. However, once the original job was finished and paid, they stopped responding. They told us a servicing of the system was included. The fall after the original Dec 2017 installation I asked them repeatedly if we could schedule a servicing and the management never replied.

Nick and crew from JM Plumbing were great when we needed to replace a leaky water heater. They made it easy to replace it with a Rinnai tankless water heater. They were more reasonably priced than the other company we talked to. Nick was prompt and responsive with the bid, and scheduled the work promptly. He also priced out various projects that we also wanted, like a water filtration system. We wanted a water filtration to extend the life of the water heater and improve our drinking water by removing sediment and impurities. He explained everything well, and the crew did the job on time, and made everything as neat as possible. There was a lot of new piping necessary and some electric work was also involved. We are very happy with the job, and will be calling them again.

I interviewed several different firms before selecting JM Plumbing and Heating for the installation of new systems in a home I just purchased. By far, I was most impressed with Nick's knowledge, responsiveness, fair pricing, and ease of scheduling - especially given the number of new items I was requesting. JM Plumbing and Heating is also one of the companies that works with the DC Sustainable Energy Utility (SEU) and submitted the paperwork for the energy-efficient rebates for my new tankless water heater and HVAC system, which was very important for me. Nick was always quick to respond to e-mails, and offered to come by after the installation to walk through all the systems, upkeep, and answer any questions. I've already e-mailed JM Plumbing to complete other small projects around my home (like a new hose bib outside) and will continue using them for any future projects and to keep my current (new) systems in good working order.

Fabulous is an understatement. JM Plumbing found a solution to our design problem that had other plumbers shaking their heads no. In short, we wanted to replace a hot water heater under our stairs with a tankless heater and gain a bit of room for a pantry in the process. Nick saw the problem others saw but then looked around the house and discovered he could put it in the crawl space in our attic. His four person crew showed up at 8 a.m. on schedule and stayed until 9 p.m. that night finishing the plumbing and, incidentally, also adding a whole house humidifier. That wasn't enough time to fine tune it though, so two members of the crew came back the next morning and finished up the heater settings and explained everything to us about maintenance and operating. When after a couple of days of operating the humidifier, we noticed some burping after it started up so his crew returned and fine tuned it as well. So now we've got a tankless heater and humidifier out of sight and more space than expected for the pantry. JM Plumbers provided us with a detailed breakdown of everything they would do and the cost before showing up and they adhered to the plan. Best plumbers we've found in several states.

The team did a phenomenal job. I am grateful and feel very lucky to have found them. Their estimate was the lowest out of three estimates. Two large companies declined to do the job said it was too complicated. These companies told me they would have to hire a lift to remove the old boiler. JM plumbing thought outside of the box and disassemble the old boiler. The team was respectful and cleaned up so well you could't tell there were there.

I spoke to the proprietor, Nick, about how my tankless heater was shutting off suddenly, and he immediately saw this to mean that the heater had to be descaled to keep the water flow from getting so low the heater switches off. He offered to check the aerators upstairs for an additional hundred dollars, a few times, but I saw this as wholly unnecessary and declined this service every time. The plumber did an excellent job of descaling a very complex piece of machinery. It ran perfectly afterward, and continues to do so. After descaling, the person said he'd pop upstairs to check the faucets. Given my previous conversations and the way it was phrased as a simple check, I took this to mean that was going to check that the hot water was working now. Instead, this was the hundred dollar service that I had already declined a few times, which after the fact I still see as useless and unnecessary. The service evidently included cracking off the water saving features of the shower heads, without my permission, meaning that my monthly water bill is now higher and will be until I buy new shower heads. Remember: say no, then say no again, then say no again.

Nick and his team did a great job. They showed up on time, were clean and professional, and charged a competitive rate. Will use them again for future needs!

Could not be happier with the work. Nick was extremely helpful in answering all my questions and giving me an accurate estimate on the work. I had three estimates and Nick's was the most competitive and included work that others did not (new vent, new expansion tank, drip pan). He was able to arrange a same day appointment. Everyone arrived exactly on time for the appointment. They worked hard for two hours and did a terrific job removing the old heater and installing the new. They did not take any shortcuts about making sure new pipe connections were secure and venting was adequate. They left my basement cleaner than when they arrived and Dmitri took the time to carefully explain safety features/operation of new heater. I will be using them again for sure. Thanks guys!

Exceptionally well!

We had a great customer experience with JM Plumbing and Heating. Nick was very helpful and had great communication from beginning to end of the transaction. Ziyad was very professional when he came to make the first visit and assessment. He clearly explained the problem(s) and the pros and cons of repairing vs replacing. We opted to replace, and I'm glad we did. Ziyad came with two other techs to do the actual HVAC replacement. When they were in the middle of the job, they got a closer look at the water heater and advised me that that needed replacing as well. (We had been advised by our home inspector two years earlier that the water heater would need to be replaced sooner rather than later, so I knew they weren't just making it up.) The team worked all day (12 hours) to get everything done, and Ziyad came back the following day to adjust one small thing. Overall, I was impressed with the quality of JM's work and their professionalism. They cleaned up the work site very thoroughly and walked me through the work that had been done. I would recommend them and will go back to them in the future should the need arise.
