Titan Moving & Storage LLC

Titan moved my massive accumulation of furniture and packed boxes from my two-flight-up garden apartment to my new single-family house. They arrived ahead of time, and executed the move smoothly and efficiently, also finishing ahead of time -- and saving me several hundred dollars off the initial estimate for the move. My only complaint (really a nitpick) is that a few items clearly labeled as destined for certain rooms were left in the wrong rooms. I only mention it because it has made unpacking a wee bit confusing at times. Otherwise, absolutely fantastic job!

Titan Moving & Storage is THE BEST moving company I have ever worked with. After 12 moves with the military, I've seen it all and there's no question that Titan Moving knows what they are doing. Everything made it to my new home without a single scratch. The guys on the truck were all very professional and polite. They showed up on time and finished hours before expected. They are definitely doing my next move!

Best movers I've ever used, and I have moved frequently. One of the owners, Ted Bowler, personally came to do an estimate and provided a very competitive price in spite of having to assess a household that had been thrown into turmoil due to contractors and other unique factors. He provided expert help and suggestions throughout the process. All of the movers were polite, punctual and professional. They worked quickly and tirelessly, and protected items that were of special value. They did approximately 50% of the packing and unpacking. After experience with 5 moving companies, I would never call anyone other than Titan. Highly recommended.

The move went well. Titan showed up on time. All through the job they were very polite and focused on the job. The loading took 3-4 hours. Because of elevator problems at the delivery end, the delivery was the next day when they showed up on time and unloaded everything to the 3rd floor placing it where we wanted it. The owner, Ted Bowler, was there on both days. He charged me less than the estimate which was a pleasant surprise. He said it was because it took less time because I did everything he suggested in the way of packing and preparation. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND OR REHIRE TED AND HIS CREW AGAIN!!

Move started promptly at 9am and was completed by 1pm. Given the amount of items, they did an excellent job in a timely manner. They took care to wrap up items that could be damaged and were careful about not damaging my hard wood floors upon arrival at the final destination. All of the movers were friendly and professional. They disassembled large furniture and reassembled all items upon arrival.

The reviews on Angies List and Yelp are stellar for this company and that's why I initially reached out. To be fair, I contacted several highly rated companies and Ted from Titan was the first to be in touch and immediately scheduled a meeting for estimate. His estimate was more than fair and it was clear he was a professional and very experienced. It was easy to select Titan and I'm very glad I did.  The day of my move (to storage) was a deluge and the team did an excellent job of keeping my stuff dry.  They basically tripled packed it with furniture pads, plastic wrap and quilts. It was a lot of extra work, but they did what was necessary to do the job perfectly. They brought a fourth team member on the day--and even though the move took longer than expected because of the weather, Ted stuck by the estimate.  I like that 3 of the 4 movers are the owners of the company and it's obvious they take pride in their work. What more can you ask than for the movers to care about your stuff enough to make sure it's all packed and moved correctly? Just choose Titan and move on. You won't find better.

Next time we move, we will call Titan first. Period. I won't even check with anyone else.
We've moved more times than I can count. I've never had a more conscientious crew. They are professional, timely, and, above all else, exceedingly careful with our furniture.

After a long Army career, with numerous moves, we've seen both good and bad, but this was undoubtedly the best, most professional move we've ever experienced.  Every member of the crew was experienced, pleasant and polite, despite some gruelingly hot weather.  Beds, exercise equipment, bookcases, etc., that had to be taken apart, were disassembled and put back together in the new house without a flaw.
Despite some difficult circumstances in both houses (curving or steep staircases, for one), there was absolutely no damage to walls, floors, or furniture.  I really couldn't be more pleased with Titan Moving & Storage, and would be happy to recommend the company to anyone.

Despite obstacles including the county paving our street, Ted, Will and the team handled everything with ease and professionalism. Where other movers present several caveats and exceptions, Titan movers treat all your belongings with critical care and they make sure everything arrives safe and sound. Will continue to recommend to all of our friends.

Titan did a great job.  Ted came in to do an in-home estimate, and it was conservative; we ended up paying less.  The crew showed up and worked hard throughout the move (including Ted, who helped box up a disorganized shed we'd neglected to prep for the move) and were willing to help pack some last items and moved everything we asked them (even a large planter).  The stairs in the old home were quite tight, but they handled that without a problem.  On arrival, they got right to work and managed a tight turn on the stairs of the new house without any issues.  They were so conscientious about making sure neither furniture nor house got damaged that when they realized that we'd just refinished the floors in the new place, they asked if we had felt pads we wanted put on the furniture so it wouldn't scratch the floor after they left (fortunately, we did think of that), and dutifully made sure that every item that needed them got them.  They did a fantastic job from disassembly to reassembly, and got us off to a great start in our new home.  Thanks, Titan!

Needed company that could move us from the 13th Floor of one building to 5th floor of another, deal with elevator schedules, certificates of insurance and had to be done on a specific date. Called several Angie's List companies. Got several quotes over the phone but Ted was the only one to come out and look at what we had.  The quote was around $2200.  Higher than the others but Ted explained all of the issues that were driving the cost. Titan was also the highest rated moving company on DC's Consumer Checkbook service so decided to go with them.  Ted was concerned about the 3 hr elevator limitation at our apartment so he sent Will and Scott out a day early to wrap all of the furniture and prep for the move. We had a china hutch that had some issues and they took extra care with it.  In and out in 1.5 hrs. Will, Scott, Alvaro and Cornelius arrived early on the day of the move and immediately got started. Ted came a little later and jumped right in.  They were efficient, took care of all of the furniture and boxes, and didn't do any damage to the apartment on the move out or condo on the move in. Everything went so smooth that they finished 3 hours earlier than planned. The price was reduced by over $500. Ted and his team know their business. Although they might be a little more expensive, you  get what you pay for!. We would definitely use them again. We have moved multiple times and this is the best move we have ever had. There are not enough accolades to describe Ted and his team and good they really are. Give them a call. You wont be disappointed.

This is a first rate company.  Don't be put off by owner Teds unconventional appearance.  He is a consummate professional and is quite fair.  I compared several top-rated companies, and Ted gave me a very competitive price.  The guys he hires have military backgrounds and are part owners, so they are quite invested in doing a good job.  They were pleasant to deal with and hard-working.  I give them my highest recommendation.

We chose Titan, even though they were the highest estimate we got, because they are a small company and we felt we would have their complete attention during the move.  We were moving only a short distance but had some very tricky items to move.  Titan was also the only company that told us to expect the move to last 2 days.  Everyone else said it could be done in a day.  This turned out to be a real benefit.
Titan came the week before the move to pack up our fragile items.  Then they came the day before the move to prep the furntiure with padding and wrapping.  Since the house we were moving to was empty and a short distance away, they decided to take a load over that day.
The move occurred over 2 days - about 4 to 6 hours a day.  Rather than leaving us and the movers exhaused after a 10 to 12 hour day, we had a chance to regroup, look at the furniture layout and have some things moved around the next day.  I'm convinced it also prevented tired movers from damaging the houses or the goods.
The Titan crew was the epitome of teamwork.  Ted, Scott, Will, Tom and Eduardo worked together flawlessly and relentlessly.  This was especially apparent when they had to move two huge and heavy pieces upstairs on a staircase with a 180 degree turn.  It was clear they had worked together a long time.
In the end, except for a few scuff marks on the walls which were easily touched up, there was no damage to either house or any of our belongings.  Their thoroughness was amazing.  Not only did they put the shelves back in all our units, but they had made note of where they went and put them in exactly where they had been.
Even though it was a short distance move, Titan did not cut corners and packed and moved us as if it was a long distance move.  Everyone was pleasant to deal with and that made the whole process so much easier.
The final cost came in about $500 under the estimate.  I'm pretty sure we'd have wound up in the same ball park no matter whom we selected.  So by opting for quality, we had a moving experience that was as painless and pleasant as such moving could ever be.  Thank you, Ted and the Titan team.

Titan did a fantastic job. There were five friendly and courteous movers, who completed the move in three hours, and even assisted with assembly of furniture that was not part of the move.

The Titan moving crew was very professional from start to finish. The crew arrived on time and worked diligently and efficiently to move our belongings. Titan also took great care to protect our fragile items (mirrors, TV, etc.) and did a great job reassembling our furniture at the new house. We did have small incident where a grease stain was left on the carpet of our townhouse during the removal of a sliding glass door (we have a big sectional sofa and narrow hallways, so they had to take the sofa out through the backyard). Ted was very apologetic, and offered to pay to have the carpet cleaned. We sent him the bill, and he promptly paid the amount with no issues. Overall we were very pleased with Titan Moving. Their professionalism is unmatched, Ted and his crew were fantastic, and we would not hesitate to use them again.

This was my second time using Titan and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. They were punctual, professional and very careful with our belongings. They took great care to avoid any damage to walls and floors. Each of the team members was great to work with. It was a completely stress-free moving experience!

Ted and his men arrived promptly each day and performed their duties with care and professionalism.  Each detail met our expectations.  We hadn't moved in over 23 years and were delightfully surprised that this was such an easy move.

It wasn't a tremendous amount of money at all. They know exactly what to do. They packed well and carefully, nothing got broken.

This was by far the best move ever.  Moving is a very taxing and time consuming event.  Titan Movers were so personable, yet professional.  Their services far exceed that of the average mover.  I have used four (4) movers in 5 years and hands down, have found "my movers". Not only were the efficient, they were helpful, it was as if I inherited a group of brothers in one day.  The example of this was I put together a credenza last year and was so over whelmed.  I put two of the doors on wrong and never bother to changed them. I walked in saw one of the movers correcting my error and I was surprised and elated to have this done.  They are very forward-thinking and very proactive.  I strongly recommend this team of movers for any and all jobs.
