Split level, 1600 sq ft, no indoor pets, carpet free. We're reasonably clean. I just needed dusting (hate it), mopping of my hardwood floors and touch up of my bathrooms (did I mention we're reasonably clean). Even when I mop, my steamer mop pad has minimal dirt as we generally take off our shoes. I felt our charge should have been $150-200 vs their $350 charge. I had used them for a move out clean 1 yr before and that warranted the standard $350 fee, although $300 would have been more fair. One of the ladies immediately came to me showing the lid of a ceramic bowl I use for cotton pads. I was disappointed as it's a Polish Pottery set for my bathroom. I appreciated her immediate response and apologies. I try to be easy-going and told her it was OK, but she insisted on promising to tell the office so they could offer a reimbursement. So I was further disappointed when nobody contacted me. Yes, I should have called them or written this review sooner (it was 2 yrs ago), but I'm busy. So, I've become a customer that will not call them again. I still have the broken lid as I'm still sentimental to the pattern.

They do good job in cleaning and they are very reliable.

I hired SparkleClean for a deep clean when I moved into my townhouse 2 years ago because the place was gross. I kept them on for monthly, then biweekly cleanings until I had to leave them when I moved out of their service area. I've never encountered a cleaning service that was as thorough and detail oriented as they were. Anytime I gave them specific instructions ahead of time, they were always followed exactly. I was very sad that I had to find someone new to replace them because they really are not easily replaced. I actually never even met the ladies that cleaned my house because from day 1 they entered and cleaned while I was at work, but I wish they could still clean for me!

Awesome. The women from SparkleClean are ALWAYS prompt, polite, professional. My house does indeed sparkle when they are finished and smells lemony fresh. I recommend this company to all my friends and will certainly use them again for all my future house cleanings.

I was lucky they had a cancellation and were able to fit me in. I realized they were the same service we used in the past and are very happy. last year by mistuake, we got them mixed up with a similar named service out of fairfax, dont use that other service. SparkleClean from Alexandria is the best, maids are fast and clean everything well, even my picky girlfriend is happy. They are nice to my 2 dogs and can clean with them loose in the house so i dont need to pay for doggy daycare. they changed my sheets, dusted, mopped, scrubbed and even arranged the stuffed animals on my daughters bed, she loves their magic. Sarah the manager is excellent and always responds to my emails, be careful dont get mixed up with the other company with a similar name, make sure its Sarah's maid service.

These maids were great. They arrived promptly and team leader got the maids moving around the whole house. They cleaned things I never thought to clean. The whole place smelled great and the details were noticeable. The leader walked with me at the end to make sure I liked the cleaning. We sure did. Great cleaning and professional customer service, they bring all cleaning supplies so I didn't have to provide any. Their price was slightly more than we expected to pay, but seeing the cleaning, we would have paid more. We have had other maid services in the past that were terrible. So happy we found SparkleClean. Highly recommend. We will use them again.

Appointment set for 1:30 - they called at 1 to confirm they were leaving last appointment and would be here at 1:30, then showed up at 3pm and claimed they got lost and went to the wrong house... 90 minutes late. Then they rushed to complete by 5pm - even though we had asked for their "sparkle clean" as we had family coming in for our wedding this weekend. They "apologized" for being late -in addition to the really weak excuse about going to the wrong house, and then deducted 2 hours from the 10 hour total - as good faith for being 90 minutes late - and doing half a cleaning job as they were rushing to complete a "deep cleaning" on a 3 story townhouse in 2 hours... Was hoping to find a new cleaning service - it will not be SparkleClean - ever again.

Sparkle is very responsive via email with our requests. We had a snafu recently, and the staff were responsible, honest, and very keen to make the situation right. We've been pleased with them and will continue to hire them.

After months of being constantly behind on cleaning due to work and school I decided to hire a house cleaning service. I did my research for a couple of weeks before I found all the good reviews about SparkleClean and decided to get an estimate. The estimate was in my price range and the staff and owner answered my numerous questions quickly and thoroughly. I decided to go ahead and schedule the first deep clean and I was so glad I did. I have two cats with long fur and it was the first time I'd seen my home without a layer of cat fur on it. Everything smelled nice, my floors were clean, all the dust was gone, and things were straightened up. They even did small touches that I didn't expect, such as clean my toothbrush holder. I was very impressed by their thoroughness and decided to go with SparkleClean for recurring cleaning. For anyone else doing research, there are a lot of cleaning places out there but in my experience SparkleClean was very worth it. The quality was top notch, especially for the price I paid - don't forget to mention the Angie's List coupon if it's still active. Very easy to work with and very responsive too.

They were excellent. They got into the nooks and crannies and did all of the detail work you wouldn't expect most people to do. They did everything above and beyond. They did little things that were nice. They left a bottle of juice to celebrate and little touches that were nice.

They do a superb job. I have used other cleaning services in the past and have had very mixed, uneven experiences. Sometimes the place looked great - often they did a shoddy job and I'd have to spend a lot of time on the phone with the manager sorting it out, etc. SparkleClean does an amazing job - 100% of the time. And the owner could not be more responsive, friendly, and professional. HIGHLY recommend SparkleClean! I am not one to normally leave reviews but this vendor deserves some spotlight. Truly one of the great small businesses in Alexandria.

She does everything very well! They know what they're doing and are very friendly, professional, and prompt. They are always able to accommodate the special cleaning items that I sometimes may need.

It was a promotion on Angie’s List, so she was able to give me the cost. The cleaning for that price. I signed up, I’ve got them for six months.

If I am having company I would definitely hire them again. It an A each time, they did an excellent job, and B on the price cause it is high.

Sparkle Clean was wonderful. They were expensive but they did a wonderful job. They did three times a better job than the other agencies we used. We have hardwood floors and they did a beating and we did a beautiful job. They cleaned the baseboards and they moved the furniture and cleaned under the furniture. They cleaned the spots that the other cleaners missed. They cleaned the window seals. You'd be surprised we had another cleaner that was rated highly by friends of ours and when they dusted they dusted a piece of furniture that was near a window and they missed a corner. You would not be ashamed of having your mother-in-law over after they cleaned.

If I am having company, I would definitely hire them again if you need a thorough cleaning job. They did an excellent job.

Had a death in the family 5/29/16. Needed the house cleaned to receive family/friends for the funeral. Sent an email to Sarah on 3/30 (Memorial day) requesting a rush appointment. Sarah contacted me 5/31 and said she would send a 3-maid/3 hour (9 man-hour) crew late the next day. I agreed and requested that her crew call a few minutes before arriving so I could isolate my guard dog. On 6/1, her ladies called to inform us of their immanent arrival. (I have made this request of other services in the past and many times they arrive without calling. Annoying!) Surprisingly, Sarah had sent a six-maid crew of prompt, polite, efficient, professional house-cleaners. They went through my house like a whirlwind. They dusted areas I hadn't dusted in much too long. My bathrooms truly SPARKLED. The carpets no longer sported dog-hair dust bunnies and the house smelled lemony fresh. I could not have been more pleased with the work-product. The price was very reasonable, especially considering the short notice. I recommend SparkleClean without reservation and will gladly utilize their services again.

Sarah, the owner, is incredibly friendly, responsive, and professional. We have used SparkleClean's services on our home, and three of my friends have also used their services. They are trustworthy (isn't it nice to not have to babysit your cleaning crew?), and really do a deep clean. When we came home it was as though we had just moved in - everything was spotless, dusted, wiped down, and perfect. In addition, when a friend of ours, who was pregannt, had an immediate family member die, SparkleClean cleared out a spot in their schedule to go to her home and clean her house and wash their clothes with little notice. This company cares about it's clients and about people.

Great. They are reliable. On time. They do a great job.

Very flexible scheduling. Cleaned everything more thoroughly than I expected. We have two cats and there was not a hair in sight after they were done. Did a great job with the appliances, the glass doors, and all the nooks and crannies.

They did a basic cleaning, very good job.

I bought an angie's deal for SparkleClean to come out and clean my moms home before Thanksgiving holiday. I was emailed promptly and they remembered me from when we used them 2 yrs ago. Very nice, very accommodating. They came out and first asked my mom what they should focus on, what she preferred they do, etc. Very attentive to homeowners desires and needs. They immediately went to work and were done in the time permitted. My mom said it was such a great feeling having the home so clean, without being exhausted! She loved the service and intends on using them again.

They were honest and worked with us on list of prioritized cleaning items from top to lowest. They cleaned pretty well. Missed some spots here and there.
