Works and looks great. Whether cloth (I've used them before to replace the upholstery on kitchen chairs) or leather they do a great job!

I can not say enough good things about this company. First of all, when you call you will most likely speak with Julie (an owner of the company). She is super nice and was very helpful over the phone. Because I thought that I may use them to reupholster my ripped up couch, I decided to make a trip to their shop. It is small and could be hard to find for some clients, since it is tucked away behind the building in an industrial park. They do have a sign on the main road to point you in the right direction so that helps. They have a small store but they have lots of fabric to choose from. As I entered the store, I was able to see some of the work they had completed waiting to be delivered and it looked professionally done. Throughout the process, Julie was very helpful. I wound up making several trips to make sure that I was picking the right fabric. Julie was very helpful in making suggestions on the fabrics since I wanted something that would be very durable so my family would not ruin the couch again. They let you check out the books of fabric you are interested in and take them home to make sure the fabric will work in your home. When I finally decided on the fabric, they showed up at my home (on time) to pick up my couch. They were done in about 2 weeks and called me to set up a delivery time. They showed up with the redone couch (on time)- I must say that I did not really recognize it. It looked brand new and the workmanship was fabulous. When the couch was being brought in the front door, one of the legs fell off. This was not their fault, since the couch was originally custom made and the maker hot glued the legs on. WHAT?!? Sparkle could not have been more accommodating. They took the leg back to their shop and removed the glue, drilled a hole for a dowel and then came back to my house later in the day to put the leg on correctly. WOW!!! what customer service. I will be using them again and again. It was a pleasure to work with them and there should be more wonderful businesses like them around.

The service was great. I called (which they advised to do since they are not always there) and then brought my sofa cushions to them on a Friday afternoon. When they learned my sofa was my primary seating, they promised to have the cushions re-done by the following day at 1p. My 13 year-old sofa looks and feels brand new. They did a terrific job in a timely manner to accommodate my needs. I was a surprised by the price as I only asked for new insides to the cushions, but later learned from friends this can be a pricey service, particularly if they use quality cushion material. Overall I am very pleased with the work.

After dealing with several other firms, we got Sparkle Upholstery's name from Angie' s List. We took the dining room chair to the shop where we met Julie and her husband, Won. Both were very cordial and knowledgeable. Julie quoted a price of $145 to repair the chair and estimated it would take about two weeks. One week later Julie called informing us that the chair was ready and that she and Won would drop it off at our house on their way home from work. When they arrived, we showed them the oversized chair with broken springs. Julie quoted us a price roughly 30% lower than another estimate. We gave her a deposit, and Won hauled the chair away. Exactly two weeks later the chair was ready, and once again Julie and Won delivered it to our home.
In both instances the work was expertly done, completed on or before the date promised and at a very reasonable price. It was a pleasure doing business with Julie and Won. We'll definitely use them again and recommend them to our friends!!!

I had a antique sofa with wood trim that was in my family for generations and I did not want anyone but the best working on it. Julie, the wife of the owner, was so generous in taking the time with me to explain the process for refinishing my heirloom. She was very helpful in picking out fabrics that matched my living room. After I had picked out my fabric, they were shorlty thereafter at my home to pick up my furniture. They were extremely professional when removing the piece as not to damage it or my home. They had told me that it would take several weeks to fully refinish the piece but they called a week early to say the job was done. They did such an excellent job. I wish I could post a photo. Their price was reasonable and I am so delighted to have worked with them on this restoration project. Don't hesitate to give them your business.

I found fabric I liked and based on reviews here, on Consumer Checkbook and on Yelp, I chose Sparkle to do the work. They did a beautiful job.
Very friendly customer service and a comprehensive collection of fabric options (had I known that before I went in, I would have chosen from their collection instead of bringing my own). They were very judicious in their use of my fabric and left me more than enough to cover another seat cushion -- wish I had another chair!
My previous cushions hadn't lasted as long as I thought they should have. Julie, the co-owner, said that outdoor furniture needs a special kind of quick-drying foam, so I now expect a much longer life out of these cushions than the ones I had before (which used standard foam rubber and a plywood base, instead of the marine-grade wood I had this time).
I had said there was no rush, and the cushions were ready a couple of weeks after I brought them in.
I've already identified fabric in their shop for reupholstering my living room furniture ... that's next on the list!

The workmanship is impeccable. We chose an intricate fabric which required fabric alignment between the back of the chair, the front of the chair and the seat as well as alignment between each of the chairs. They came out perfectly. Additionally there was an extremely wide fabric selection to chose from. Overall it was a great experience.

We purchased the chairs about two years ago from a local gal whose parents had bought them in the 1950s. When one of the chairs was damaged during a move, we started looking for a nearby shop to repair the one chair and refinish and re-upholster both. When we arrived at Sparkle, right away Julie (she and her husband own the shop, which has been in husband's family for many years) suggested that the chairs did not need to be refinished and that a good cleaning would make them look like new. We appreciated her honesty as this would lower the overall cost. We then set about finding the right fabric for the chairs. Sparkle has a huge selection of quality upholstery fabric samples (all the well-known brands and then some) and Julie was happy to work with us to find just the right one.

Julie told us that the turn-around time for completion would be about three weeks. Sparkle completed the work in two weeks, including the repair which is now undetectable. The chairs are gorgeous. The folks at Sparkle truly know their craft. The work was not inexpensive but we received an excellent return and value for our investment. We will definitely go to Sparkle in the future for furniture refinishing and upholstery.

Overall, the job went very well. Took the pillows to the company's location. Told the company what I wanted done. The company quoted a price of $198.00 not including tax and said the pillows would be ready in two weeks. The job was ready in just one week. The quality of the work was excellent. The Company did exactly what I wanted. Very professional operation. I would use them again.

I was having company in less than two weeks. I needed my new white dining room chairs covered for protection. Sparkle Upholstery got me out of a jam. I did not expect them to pick up and deliver, since I lived in D.C. and they are located in Virginia. They picked up and delivered in about eight days. They were very professional and did an excellent job.

This is the second time we have used Sparkle and on both occassions we were really happy with the results. They have a strong selection of fabrics and are very good at helping you choose one for your project. Work is done in a professional and timely manner.
