We gave them a try before the Christmas holiday season and we have been hooked since. Besides the fact that they do excellent work at a reasonable price, we have been impressed and appreciative of their excellent client service when it comes to scheduling cleaning dates, confirmed text messages and punctuality. My wife and I live in a 1300 square foot townhouse in Old Town, Alexandria. Over the past few years, we've had several other cleaners perform monthly services in our house, and with each cleaner we've come away disappointed. We left two of them because they simply weren't doing a good job (visible dust/dirt that we felt should've been cleaned, every time) and we left a third because of bad customer service (refused to take responsibility after putting a giant scratch in our original hardwood floor). After reading positive reviews of Nice & Clean on Angie's List, we decided to give it a try.
To start, Carlos came to meet me for a walkthrough of my house. I was immediately impressed with his focus on customer service. instead of a routine, impersonal description of what his service includes, Carlos wanted to know what was most important to us and how he could make sure we were satisfied with his crew's work. We had a great walkthrough and signed up for a first cleaning the following week. Here's something you don't get with a lot of cleaners: Carlos texted me himself on the day before the cleaning to confirm our availability and texted again on the morning of the cleaning with an exact time of arrival--and he came with the crew himself exactly one minute before he said he would. The cleaning went very well--Carlos had remembered every note I gave him during the walkthrough, and his crew performed a much-needed (and very effective) deep cleaning of the house. After our initial cleaning, we signed up for monthly service. Carlos has continued to be extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with. Our follow-up cleaning went faster than Carlos had expected, so he offered to deduct $10 from his already reasonable quoted price (without me even asking).
Overall, we are extremely satisfied with Carlos's great work and we will continue our monthly service with Nice & Clean. If I had anything negative to say, trust me, I would (and will update this review if our experience changes)--but for now, we are thrilled to have finally found a reliable and reasonably priced cleaner.

We used Carlos and his wife, Isabella for nearly 8 years while living in Northern Virginia. One thing we especially liked was that either Carlos or Isabella would accompany the cleaning crew each time they came to our home to clean.
They were fabulous with our very large, vocal dog who liked to greet them each time they arrived.
The work was always thorough and the dusting included the ceiling fans and the blinds as well as pictures and all surfaces. The vacuuming included the master closet and the area rugs. The tile floor on the main level was always clean, which was a chore with kids and dogs. Carlos was also very good at pointing out areas where maintenance was needed (cracked grout, missing caulk) before it caused huge problems.
Our daughter developed a heart condition and they were always very sensitive to her needs and restrictions. Additionally, if the teacher's who came to our home had to change their schedule, then Carlos was always very willing to accommodate our needs. It made a stressful situation so much better!
When we were remodeling our house, they worked through the construction project and when we were moving, we had them help with lots of extra things to get the house ready to show. They also did the final cleaning after we moved out and did a fabulous job.
We only had a few minor issues in all of the years and each time I would raise them to Carlos and they were taken care of immediately. They were absolutely fabulous to work with.

I also liked that he communicates via text messaging versus the back and forth with calling. I will definitely use his service in the future and recommend his company wholeheartedly.
