You will find friendly, HONEST service at Mount Vernon Sunoco. We first went to them years ago for a second opinion, after our dealership's service center proposed a very expensive repair (so long ago that I can't remember what the repair was). The mechanics at Mount Vernon Sunoco looked at the vehicle, told us what the REAL problem was and made the repair for a fraction of the cost proposed by the other garage. We have taken all of our vehicles to Mount Vernon Sunoco ever since and been very satisfied.
They are good, honest, reliable mechanics. A real find.

Even though I was frustrated that the light came back on and a bit agitated, Sam was very patient in explaining what the light meant and made me feel confident he would not give my car back unless it was safe to drive.

I brought in my 2000 Mercury Mountaineer (with its 175+k miles) for a break job. The local Ford dealer told me I needed new front breaks (and gave me a very expensive estimate). After doing a lot of research I had specific breaks and rotors I wanted installed. I previously purchased front rotors and brakes and brought them to Mount Vernon Sunoco. In looking over the vehicle, Rafael, the mechanic, called to inform me that the front breaks did not need to be repaired. He informed me that the rear breaks were the source of the problem. He offered to continue to replace the front breaks and rotors if that were my wish. I told him to hold off and that I would come in with the rear rotors and break pads. I also had him perform a tune-up and replace the spark plug wires. The vehicle was ready very quickly and well within the time-frame promised. I am very happy with the quality and professionalism of Rafael and Mount Vernon Sunoco. I will return to them as services are needed and highly recommend them to others.
