Three weeks ago, during a rain storm I ended up with a leak in the living room so I reached to Angie's List for a local contractor and after talking to several I found Lyon's Contracting to provide the best offer. Tom Petrilli was very pleasant, and communicated well; answering all my questions. The materials and team arrived on site as scheduled and all were very polite. My roof was measured at 1919 square feet and they completed the removal of the old and installed the new roof in one day under the gun with a fast approaching storm. They also did a great job of covering my bushes and cleaning up. They cleaned my gutters and re-installed the gutter guards. I am really tickled with the color selected and the warranty that follows. Tom and the team at Lyons Contracting did an outstanding job and I would highly recommend. Thanks guys job well done!

I worked with Tom Petrilli through the estimate phase and scheduling and spoke with him in detail about my concerns with a flat roof replacement. He went into detail with me on the materials that would be used and their process. He also held to the schedule and provided pictures before, during and after of the work being done. The work was through and the worksite was kept clean. Overall I was very happy with the work done and would use his services again.

We contacted Lyons based on great reviews on AngiesList. Tom Petrilli came out and determined that the roof replacement we wanted would work well within the special they offered on AngiesList. Lyons then worked with us on some additional work we wanted, specifically replacing all the gutters and doing some reconstructive work on the lower roof of our split level home. They gave us very competitive prices on everything and were great about getting us new quotes as we thought and rethought the job (we had a small dose of "project creep"). Once we figured out what we wanted done, Lyons swung into action. Within a few days the roofing materials were dropped off, the next day the Lyons crew showed up at 8 am (just as we had been told, Lyons is great about communicating whats happening and when) and started work. These guys were great, efficient and thoroughly professional. They carefully moved potted plants, covered shrubs and bushes, and took every precaution to avoid damaging anything. They completed the roofing job in 1 day, even though a significant amount of plywood decking needed to be replaced (it was a 35 year old roof, so that was no surprise). The gutter guys showed up the next day and got to work by 8 am. They first did the reconstructive work, then did the gutter work, at one point carefully relocating a birds nest from a downspout bend to a tree in our back yard (it had two baby birds in it). Like the roofing team, these guys were careful, thorough, and very professional. So in two day the whole job was finished, and it looks great! I would recommend Lyons to anyone who needed a professional and quality job done at a great price.

My wife and I reached out to Mike Simpson, Lyons? repair foreman to attempt to have them come over to our place and review the possible source and repair options for a leak. They never even took the courtesy of returning my calls.

Lyons was very responsive. The contractor provided a great estimate, scheduled the work promptly and then completed the project as promised. They exceeded all my expectations. The cost of this project was very reasonable. The contractors were very thorough. They did a great job and went out of their way to assure that all the plants and belongings around the house were not damaged during the process. They did a great job of cleaning up as well. The roof looks great, and I would recommend them without reservation.

Tom and his team were great. They fixed and repaired any needed rot on my roof explained the process prior to repair. Very Professional company easy to work with.

Lyons Contracting did a great job on replacing my roof. They also installed six new skylights for me. Thomas Petrilli was wonderful to work with. He was very professional and guided me through the process. He provided sample shingles to me to make my choice of a color a bit easier which was very beneficial. My new roof looks great! The job was done in three days and Tom kept in touch with me providing updates each step of the way. The crew was professional and hardworking and cleaned up the work area each day before leaving. Tom's last message to me was that he will be coming by in one year to check the roof. This shows their dedication to their customers and that they stand behind their work! I would recommend Lyons Contracting, and Thomas Petrilli, for your roofing needs without hesitation! I received a good product at a good price and excellent customer service. I could not have asked for more.

emailed a return phone call first and then called and left a message. Never received a phone call back so I chose between the three estimates that I had.

I am very pleased with the work that was done by Lyon's Contracting. The new roof and gutters look great (and I am looking forward to the next big rain to test them out). The crew came right on time, and were able to finish the roof in one day, and then the gutters were done in one day a few days later. The crew was very unobtrusive. The roof crew did a better cleanup job than the gutter crew, but it was nothing a few minutes of sweeping couldn't take care of. Tom P. was very responsive and easy to get ahold of to talk for questions or concerns. The only thing that disappointed me was that the overages for the $6499 Angie's Big Deal ended up costing so much more. I thought my house was very normal, but apparently it was 400sq ft over and a steeper pitch, resulting in a $3500 overage fee for the roof. Then the gutters were another $3000. However, Tom P. itemized the charges and showed exactly where the overage fees ca,e in, which I appreciated.

I was fully expecting our appointment would be canceled, as we had driving rain all morning. Tom called and said he expected a small window of opportunity to keep the visit in between showers, and he was correct! Tom walked the roof, showed pictures, and determined the roof was in good condition. He did see the chimney contractors had slightly worn the surface of a few shingles during their work, but nothing significant would require even a partial replacement. Tom estimated we had about seven years of good life on the current roof, and asked to keep Lyons in mind for a visit then. We will, with pleasure! P.S. I was concerned about discoloration on a few portions of the roof, and Tom advised it was a type of algae that can easily be cleaned with a solution, to which he recommended how to make the solution as well as later emailed a straight from the bottle formula. I contacted Lyons when I noticed a lot of moisture on the underside of my roof. I thought the snow melt had created a leak in the roof. Lyons Contracting spoke with me on the phone and quickly zeroed in on the fact that my home humidifier might be causing moisture to condensate on the cold roof. Per their suggestion I turned off the humidifier and the problem disappeared. They called back a little while later to even follow up on original problem. Very helpful and professional!

Everything went terrific. From the first moment I reached out to Tom with Lyons Contracting, the customer service and ultimate delivery of our new roof went flawlessly. Tom was incredibly responsive and was able to meet with me at my home to talk about options for our new roof before I even purchased the Angie's List Big Deal. Tom took a genuine interest in our home and what our specific needs were. He asked some great questions that I had not even thougth about asking (for example, ensuring whether or not we had bath vents in our upstairs bathrooms and if we wanted new bath vents to be installed with the new roof). Even though delayed by a couple of days by rain, the project was scheduled and completed even faster than what Tom had promised at the time of contract. The entire project took about a 1.5 days and the crew was very friendly and did great work and left the site very clean). We are thrilled with our new roof. We are already getting favorable comments from our neighbors on how it looks and I will definitley recommend Tom and Lyons Contracting to anyone in the market for a new roof.

This company is first-rate, in every respect. There is nothing that I would change about their service, from our initial contact through the job's finish. I saw their offer for a new roof on Angie's list, but wasn't sure the roof on our built-in-1937 house would qualify, so I emailed them about it--on a Sunday morning. I got a response back within the hour. A few days later, after the snow melted, Tom came by, took measurements & discussed our project. He pointed out that our roof still had life in it and didn't need to be replaced, but we wanted to get the job done now anyway. He said our roof was too large, too steep and had too many planes to qualify for the Angie deal. But he said he would take the Angie deal as the base, adjust for our non-qualifying features and Email us a proposal, which we could accept or reject at our leisure. No pressure selling here. We ended up accepting. Tom left small samples of the shingles; we looked at them, compared them to others in the neighborhood, made our selection and informed him of the three choices of interest to us.. Shortly thereafter, we found, in our driveway, full-sized examples of the three styles we choose. This was great, because the full-sized shingles looked different than the small samples. So we compared the shingles and made our final selection. We got an Email back from Tom, asking us to reconsider, because, he said, in his 17-some years he had never installed the shingle we chose. He suggested a different color, said it would look great. We followed his suggestion. The installation took 2 1/2 days, spread over 3 days. The crew arrived on time, worked very hard and very efficiently. I liked that they used the very best materials, from drip edge to underlayment to flashing to nails to shingles. Rotten roof boards were replaced; loose boards were nailed down. The most crucial flashing--around the chimney--was installed by the crew chief, who was experienced and knowledgeable and answered all questions. They installed ridge vents and static roof vents, and gave advice on how to improve on that with soffit vents. After each day, our house and yard were are neat as they were before work started. And the new roof looks great, as Tom said it would. Our roof now has a 10 year guarantee on labor, and a lifetime guarantee on the shingles, so I don't expect we will need another. If we did, however, I would have these guys do the job. They are worth it.

They contacted me right away after I purchased the big deal and have been very responsive. The house and garage was finished in one day. The work was excellent and the roof looks great.

Tom and his team were great! They came highly recommended from neighbors who had used them in the past and we were not disappointed. Very knowledgeable about flat roofs and did a great job - we especially appreciated the photos they sent us throughout the day of the project so we could see how it all was progressing. Not cheap but worth the peace of mind!

Absolutely great job. The GAF HD "architectural" roof shingles Lyon's Contracting used are top rated and look great on our house. Lyon's crew of five did the job in one long ten hour day between March snow storms and came back on Saturday for a careful and complete clean-up of bits of debris and nails they had missed. We were relieved to get a very reasonable price to replace a 60+ year-old, steeply pitched roof and were completely satisfied with the results.

Very easy and smooth transaction with Tom at Lyons Contracting. Throughout the whole thing, Tom was responsive to e-mails and did a great job of keeping me up to date with where things were, especially in the midst of multiple snowstorms that messed with scheduling a bit. His original estimate was spot on, and they certainly didn't try to push all kinds of extra work (and costs) on you- I honestly expected to have to replace a lot more of the plywood decking than they did. The day of the work, they showed up right when they said they would and went right to work. Our roof is not particularly complicated- no extra eaves or peaks, just straight up and down- but they did the whole thing in one day between 9 am and 6 pm. They cleaned up very well afterward, and we have a great looking new roof. For the price, you can't beat the quality.

Although we didn't need a new roof right away and could have waited some time, the deal on Angie's list seemed too good to pass. Tom was extremely thorough about how the installation of new roof will be done. He toured the attic with me and identified moisture problems caused by improperly installed bathroom fan. He spent a lot of time inspecting other issues and did not try to rush us at all. However, it turned out that our roof area was over the deal's limit of 2000 sq. ft. We ended up paying an additional 50% of the original cost which we hadn't factored in our budget. We faced some delays due to the weather but Tom kept us posted. As soon as the weather was right, his crew showed up and completed the installation in two days. The overall job is done well and the site was cleaned right away. The roof looks great. We only wish if it was only a bit cheaper.

With a roof being the big expense that it is, I was surprised when Tom told us that our roof actually had some life it in. Tom took the time to tell me what to look for and explained how the roof was actually in pretty good shape. We will definitely be calling him in 5 or so years when it is actually time to replace the roof. This gives my wife and I time to budget for the expense and we could not be more relieved. Thank you Tom for your honesty! I would absolutely recommend giving him a call if you want an honest and very knowledgeable assessment of your roof.

Very well. Estimate process was smooth, scheduling was easy. Weather interfered several times, but Tom kept me apprised each time. Email communications were answered promptly. Clean up was thorough.. I had not clue that they had been there aside from the shiny new roof:)

Professional and on top of the project, despite a couple weather delays. The roof is beautiful, the workers were polite, careful of my plants around the house, and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. This was particularly important to me as I have two small dogs and was a little concerned about stray nails. Cost was reasonable. I had to pay a little more because of my ranch style home and replacement of bad wood, but all in all worth it. Mr Petrilli was always available to me to answer any questions. Was surprised to find he will return in a year to inspect the roof and make sure everything was ok. Would recommend Lyons Contracting/Mr Petrilli to anyone who is looking for a professional who you can trust to do a good job at a reasonable price.
